Thank you so much for placing this geocache! Crustvarmint and I thoroughly enjoyed our time exploring this stunning location, and were glad to report that the cache is in perfect working order.
Selecting these caches from the Geomap, I wasnt sure if the terrain was suitable for our vehicles, but we thought wed give it a try. Travelling with my mate, Juzzmagic, we realised that all was okay, and we enjoyed visiting the historic sites these caches took us to. There must be a truck load of stories about life in these parts. Thanks for the caches, and introducing us to the area, Lucypatrick
Great exercise. Surprised a few kangaroos, or they surprised me?! Not worried about finding the car. I could hear the tunes pumping out. TFTC
I keep thinking Im going to find a huge nugget but not today. So beautiful out hereTFTC
Caching in the area with @MayFamily. We love that caching is a great way to discover places. Such a rich history here. TFTC
This was such a lovely bush walk!! The box was full of water so we made it as dry as we could when we placed it back! Thanks for the good find
Kids are at school and my wife is sleeping as she’s on night shift, so time to go caching. Today I’m in Murchison and Rushworth. Nice warm 30 degrees and the flies are very friendly. Did the rail trail which had a few lively painted containers and creative animal ones too. A wonderful day had but now it’s time to go to work. TFTC
A nice cache in an interesting old excavation area. Loved the walk in and search, thanks
Cache 9262 on 1 Oct 2022.
Road trip! Joined ZQX, Fox in Jox and TikvaNZ in taking advantage of a long weekend in the ACT to head to Victoria and South Australia for 4 days. We had planned this trip 2 years ago, but it did not happen for obvious reasons, so now getting it underway. Our goal is to pick up some old caches, get counties and get some interesting DT combinations!
Today: first day and travelling from the ACT to Nhill - lots of Kms! Mostly counties today.
A quick find, happy that the short walk was not too tough on my busted knee!
Thanks Lucypatrick for the cache and the fun!

Find #2898 for me. Found at 9:47 am with my dog Bonnie while visiting the area from Bendigo. Having previewed the satellite view of the area before leaving home, I decided to approach this one from the east. If I had a 4WD, this could have been a drive-by, but I wasn't going to take my 2WD up the hill so we got some exercise instead. My GPS liked the coordinates leading to a quick find. Great location, and loved the short walk! Thanks for the fun and the cache Lucypatrick!
Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??
Thanks Lucypatrick for placing this cache and adding to our game.

Having had a very busy day running errands[|)][|)] and then spending 3/4s an hour waiting in the Shepparton police station for a JP that didn't turn up, I was looking forward to a very early night in bed![|)][^][|)][^][|)][|)]
It is strange how a certain tone on my phone can make tiredness go away and excitement appear
Yep, that's the sound of new caches being published
Now, a new cache within 40km of me is an unusual thing but hey, it had been a long time since breakfast and I had baked apples and icecream for tea which I needed to finish off[^]
I rang dalerious and catnap777 but they were both too busy waiting for that proverbial 'last truck' so Rex and I headed out on our own to Rushworth[^]
It was a great night for a drive[^] and I have to admit, I do like the forest tracks around there[^] much better than the ones around Mooroopna / Shepparton after it has been raining!
Rocks and solid base make better tracks than slippery clay[^][^][^]
I'm still smiling that my 'high clearance vehicle', a stock Corolla station wagon, made it to GZ for nearby GC9CQTP Initially, I thought GZ was at a cemetery[?] then I read the writing Oops!
The night was warmer than some have been, lately[^][^] and there was no wind[:X], little cloud[:X] and and a lovely night[:X] as we found 3 caches There was a small amount of rain on our way home[?] but we were warm and dry in the Corolla[^][^], so who cared Doesn't everyone go caching in their slippers to stay warm[?] Even better when wearing bright coloured hand knitted socks made for me by a friend[:X][^] who now lives in New Zealand
This was fun, in the dark, with sore knees[xx(] and rubber boots to keep the 'bush' from getting into my socks and slippers![^]
Still, the cache was found and the contents were played with
Then I said to Rex 'take me back to the car!' and he did![:X][:X][^][:X]
This dog is as special as gold![:X][^][:X][^]

Worked the afternoon in Kyabram and was needing to fill a calendar spot today so thought a drive home via Rushworth was a good idea. Parked the wagon 65m from gz and after a little bit of circle work honed in on the prize and saw it peeking out at me from behind a rock. Log signed and cache replaced. The rocks were very beautiful and colourful in the afternoon sun. TFTC
Passing through Rushworth and stopped to find these caches Love exploring these old mining sites so thanks for placing a cache here. Made the terrain rating more difficult as I approached from the road. Got there with care Thanks Lucypatrick
Heading away to Corowa with Bogonghazy for a couple of days. Great hiding spot. Thanks Lucypatrick for placing the geocache
A bit of a hunt at night, but we got there.
We certainly had to watch our steps!

Found on our little journey for palindrome day on a 2'sday.
Heading to Mooroopna for a meal with like minded cachers but decided an afternoon of caching would be a great idea, so we are journeying to Rushworth, Tatura the Mooroopna.
Found quickly after approaching from wrong direction and cache in good condition.
Stamped log and continued our journey.

It was an interesting walk up to the old gold quarry this afternoon.
Baking hot outside but an easy find at GZ.
Thanks for your cache.

Traveling between Beechworth and Heathcote to visit the Dark Sky Site.
Grabbed a few caches and did some maintenance on the way.
Don't usually park at the bottom of the hill to go to a quarry.
An interesting site to explore though.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found on a day out to Rushy with Nan and N8. Interesting spot, you'd never know it was there just driving by. TFTC.
#4711 Been to and through Rushworth (and its bakery) countless times, but never ventured up in the bush just north of town. The historic pit was such a cool feature to explore. A goanna was spotted quickly running along the pit floor alerted by Mr BGF's presence. Accurate coords brought me directly to an easy find. TFTC and fun Lucypatrick.
Such fun exploring bush tracks on a spring day. This quarry was an unusual feature here. Lots of bush boronias in bloom along the path we took. SL at 12.23pm Left: gold turkey pen topper. #8294 TFTC Lucypatrick
Dalerious and I were surprised to see that we made joint 2TF on this cache. We only decided to go for a drive as we finished work earlier than usual, and it was too good an evening to be indoors. I could not believe my eyes when I saw the Tick Attribute on this cache. I needed to "Ticks" for a challenge cache, and it took me ages to get them as they are few and far between, plus dalerious and I had to travel a fair way to get them. Thank you again lucypatrick
Joint 2TF with catnap777 @5:48pm.
Making the most of an early knock off time, cat' and I headed for Rushworth to try our luck in gold country.
We struck it rich digging up a heap of caches in just a couple of hours. [^]
I started inadvertantly calling this one Mt Olympus. When cat' corrected my error, I excused my blunder saying "Close enough. They are both tyres."
TFTC Lucipatrick, a tidy little hide in a great location.
Cat' and I were both happy to "tick" this one off our lists.

FTF @ 1539. WooHoo!
Walking up to school to pick the kids up with my Bestie when Geohubby rang to say a cache had been released. Quickly walked home & jumped in the geo Ute & drove the short distance away.
A quick walk to gz (had muggle friend looking, though she was a bit hesitant when I told her to look out for wriggly sticks!), & soon had cache in hand. Clean log sheet signed & replaced.
