Day 5 of our NSW holiday. Travelling from Goulburn to Batemans Bay today. Another day of sunshine and temperatures in the high 20s. Stopped briefly in Tarago to pick up this one cache. The container is very brittle and another piece breaks as we open it. SL at 8.50am Cache certainly needs some attention from the CO. (An aside - we have owned at least 3 Tarago vehicles over the years. Seems strange to find ourselves in a village called Tarago!) #10, 328 TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Out and about in the Tarago area picking up a few hides.
Lovely little rest and play area for locals and passing thru people.
The container is broken but the log is nice and dry.
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the hide.

found on a day out geocaching. finding part of the Tarago Series and surrounding caches with Whiteman98 good park to let the dog go for a run
Decided to head out early on my trip to the ACT to visit my kids and grandkids and take to long and easy way by picking up some caches along the way and use the time to clear my head and get some more fresh air. I was able to take my time and do this as normally my muggle missus would be with me, but she’s visiting one of our other kids and grandkids in another state!
Having abandoned my power trail nearby as I just found it too nerve racking with the fast moving traffic, I headed out to somewhere I could pull into for a little break. I’ve been to Tarago a couple of times over many years, and I’ve even participated in a fun run amongst the wind turbines! But today I pulled into what looked like a pretty newly upgraded playground/bbq/restroom area, just across the road from the school who were also out for their break.
Stepped out of the old GeoAstra and began to take a look around. Hmmm, nothing obvious, and no hint either. Lots of simplistic logs of easy find not much help either. My GPS was playing seesaws and I was getting a little annoyed with myself. Was as usual on the verge of calling off the search when I thought to myself, I’ve done quite a few of this COs hides, so where would he put one of those? Another quick scan and there it was laughing at me! Of course…….
Performed duties and then had a bit of a treat before heading off!

Was actually doing a job at the park nice little place thanks for the hide
After a solid Christmas break it is time to head to Goulburn for a event duo of a CITO and an Event Dinner. I headed off after lunch time to take a very non direct route collecting a few caches on the way via Bugendore, Tarago & Windellama. I found a few fun roads that needs lots of work, and on one back road there was a dam a meter deep of the rolly poly grass across the road, a little odd. After reaching Goulburn I collected Fitzy_1965 and we went for a few local caches including a few fun pole caches. The Rain called an early end to the COTO and we all moved on to the event for dinner.
The playground here seems to get more impressive every time I stop by. At least they have set up a great place for a cache to be and it was found in good condition.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

With GreyHams we set out for a short trip out towards Goulburn, with us both having to be back for different commitments in the afternoon. Starting the day with a virtual is always a great start to the day, we added in a CC event, AL's, a visit into Bungonia National Park and some great caches, oldies and Earthcaches are always good to stop for!
A nice loop back through Tarago and Bungendore with a few short walks along the way, thanks for your cache!
Stopped for the facilities, found a cache too!

Aquilus1 & I were time limited today with both of us needing to be back in CBR in time for other commitments. But a nice easy enough little loop was available starting with a new virtual, a CC event, labs and then some cool oldies & Earthcache on the way back.
Thank you everyone for placing

#6396- A perfect spot for a break and a cache to boot. Wandered through the gate for an easy find. Thanks
A quick find while staying the night in the van. I think 10m is the closest we've camped to a cache.
I wasn't really sure whether I'd get away for this caching trip, but in the end I bit the bullet and headed out for a few days through the southern NSW countryside. The roads were a minefield of potholes, fuel prices were off the chart and nearly every cache had some form of water damage from the recent big wet but that didnt detract from the fun.
This was a good spot to boil the kettle and have an early morning bite to eat.
Thanks to all the CO's for contributing to my caching finds on this 2-day trip. Apologises for not writing something unique about each find. TFTC

Out with Just a cacher on a drive and we decided that we might grab a cache or two as we passed by.
The dogs needed to stretch their legs so as that was happening we decided to grab the cache while as we were here.
A quick find here today.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN.

Find Number 2339 found at 14:38. Today we found 31 caches and had 5 DNFs.
GeoSon NationalSteel and I met up at Tarago for a day's caching. We signed any joint find logs with some combination of the initials GT and NS. The aim of the day was to avenge my 10-year-old DNF on Terminus Tarago, to get enough caches to get both the Kilimanjaro souvenirs and to find the Tarago Series caches with more than 6 months unfound time. NationalSteel started the day with 92 years unfound and hoped to break the century.
NationalSteel spotted the container as I was standing in the wrong spot. All good.
The cache was in good condition. We took nothing, left nothing, signed the log and replaced the container as found
Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache.

Last find of the day with G+T as we headed our separate ways. A great day out and nearly 20Y of unfound time added to the tally so far. Easy find here and cache in perfect condition. TFTC!
Last one for the day. Staying at the local pub tonight. Managed to retrieve from over the barbed wire. Rains have created a large puddle by the gate. Tftc.
Tftc, all good here, this town has gotten a lot bigger than the last time we were here.
Plenty of new houses going up.

Headed to Moruya with fitzy_1965, Death Killer and my_name_jeff_1 for a weekend of caching.
Day 2 saw us up early for a bit of caching before joining up as Capital Crunchers with albida33, Sol de Lune, Smittengranny, Joolay, kitty katch, barb2e & cosmonaut97 (plus a couple of muggles). Mr Windy also joined our group as he was also on the coast this weekend. We did a bit of caching as a group before parting ways and caching our way home.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

25,209. Found with minniek heading down to the Moruya region for a weekend of fun caching.
With travel for caching an option again, a group of cachers from the Canberra and Goulburn region - known as Capital Crunchers or CC in logs - planned a trip to Moruya for what turned out to be a beautiful sunny weekend with many memorable caches and moments. We were also rewarded with a bunch of new caches being published while we were there - cool ! My thanks to my caching companions and all the cache COs for a very entertaining and enjoyable weekend. Bring on the next one !
Day 2 - We headed out first thing this morning with a nice list of caches to aim for. After finishing up in Moruya minniek and I started heading home. Stopped at this one for a nice quick find ! Log signed, cache replaced as found, then we continued on our way.
Thanks DSD !!

#11833 - 10:28:00 AM; Despite the forecast, headed out this morning with Sol de lune to finish off the Marvel series; grab a couple of other puzzles solved since our last visit; and collect a few more caches in the area for our daily calendar challenges. Managed relatively quick finds today at each location, which was a bonus given the freezing temperatures. Managed to exchanzge one DNF for another along the way, otherwise all caches were found in good condition when we added our names to the logs. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
Out again with LuckyL10n to do a few more to help our daily requirements and after a few along the Marvel Mystery Series we headed to grab a few along the road to Tarago.
No problems with this one and the log was soon signed.
Thanks for this one DSD...

My first interstate FTF, very exciting.
I've had my eye on this all day since leaving home in the Adelaide Hills. Transiting through Melbourne not an option, so via Sydney today, and cancellation of my scheduled second leg was going to be my downfall I thought. But the cache still hadn't been claimed when I picked up my hire car, and an exciting drive to Tarago ensued. Couldn't believe my luck that this cache had waited all day for me. Weather related maybe.
Thanks so much DarkSideDan; this will be the highlight of this tour of duty for sure.
