Bit wet out here in Westport today. Managed to get out and nab a few caches today. Down here for the labour weekend holiday. Simple find outside a beautiful holiday park TFTC found with aalis_01 and my younger brother
Love camping at top 10 parks, very fortunate to not be camping this long weekend in this very stormy weather. Popped out for a drive and to grab a few caches today. Found with Elliot13 and his brother. TFTC
A couple of folks out walking their dogs along here, but no problems finding the cache, cheers
Schn, wie praktisch, direkt vor unserem Campingplatz lag das Dschen, Dfdc ruberhasen
Wir haben auf diesem Campingplatz zwei Nchte verbracht und loggen diese Dose vor der Weiterfahrt. Merci
We dodged walking and driving muggles heading for the camp ground. Caching after our dinner down the road. TFTC from me and Piwaka54
Out for a bike ride from the NZMCA park to Tauranga Bay and back. Not sure how many caches I can grab as today this trail is very busy - but doing my best not to be muggled.TFTC
A nice quick find, just ouside where we are staying. Thanks for placing your cache. It has been a while since we got back from Europe, and it is time for us to see more of Home. Ms_KR and I are off to the West Coast for a wee break, and some caching. Today cruised around the area picking up plastic boxes!Occaisionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
KR was off for a bike ride, but I preferred the beach. I wanted to fly my kite, but it was a bit too close to the airport, especially with such a strong wind. Then, it was a quick pick to get this on the way back to our accommodation. Thanks weenz
Before leaving Westport today I decided to go and try and sign off a few more on the Coastal Trail.
Had to wait for a muggle to pass.
Cheers for the cache, weenz.

Morning run with MrsTG before it got too hot and before our planned trip up to the Oparara arches. Quick find and sign here. Thanks.

The wind had helped push us to the last two caches, but it was a head wind as we headed back so after stopping for a much needed drink, we carried on into the wind to collect up the last 7 targeted caches. No worries with this one. tftc

First cache of the day. Feels wintery, rain showers and wind, compared to the summer weather last week!
Found with Kiwimykl on the first day of our four day West Coast adventure. We had previously redone the Kawatiri Trail from Westport to Carters Beach due to someone placing more caches on it two days after we last cleared it... you know who you are. After that we did the caches on the Omau to the Cape section. As we are staying at Carters Beach Top 10, we thought we would do the new ones closer to there after we checked in later in the day, and that is now. So after checking in to our accommodation, we once again hopped on our MTBs and headed off. This was the first cache on this section of the trail and was a QEF PnG by Kiwimykl thanks to there only being one hinted item anywhere near where c:geo indicated GZ to be.
Last August we had booked a package deal offered by West Coast Tourism, where for $299 per person we could stay for one night in Hokitika and get access to the Tree Top Walk, then spend another night in Franz Josef and get access to the Wilderness Centre and a helicopter flight over the glacier. We did the Hokitika part of the package on the 17th of August and that night the PM put us into Covid-19 (Delta) Level 4 Lockdown. We decided to take the week between Easter and ANZAC weekends off and do the second part of the package. It also gave us the opportunity to get out of the district to get the required points for the Signal's Labyrinth series of souvenirs.

I stayed about 70m from here so it would have been rude no to grab this handy cache
Quick find on our south island road trip, stayed the night in motor camp. TFTC
Our final one on this wonderful bike ride.
This is JDScouts and my final long summer holiday in the camper. We're on a tour of the West Coast and geocaching is one of the things on our agenda.

An early morning bike ride enjoying the local trail, some good scenery, and grabbing a few caches. TFTC
Working my way back towards Westport after walking the wonderful Omau Section - Cape Foulwind to Tauranga Bay of the Kawatiri Coastal Trail.
As I was passing right beside this one I decided to stop and have a look for it.
The cache was an instant find in the first place I looked, love it when it works out like that. After signing the log I sat in the car and had a wee reminisce about the many times we stayed at the Top Ten when I was a child. I have the best memories of playing on the swings with my brother and how we would swing so high then leap off the front of the swing when it was at the highest we could get it. Then going down onto the beach and just spending time with our Mum, very special memories for me and I thank you for getting me to stop here and bringing all those happy memories back for me.
Thank you for placing this cache and thank you for the smiley.
I apologise if the CO gets this log two times, for some weird reason the logging of this cache was not recognised on reach the peaks souvenir challenge, so I am trying to log it again to see if this makes a difference.

Today my plan is to cache around the Westport area. Weather not that great but I've got my raincoat so it OK - not too cold anyway. After completing the Cape Foulwind walkway, I found a few more caches. Another nice walk, where I got a bit more wet. I parked in the car park and wandered along the track to find the caches. This reminded me of the time Mrs Biggles and I hired a campervan. I think we stayed a night at the Top Ten. All good with the cache too. After the find, I wandered back to my car and drove to the next location of interest. TFTC, Biggles.
Over home for some school holiday adventures. This was day two's big walk, started at home and got to the end of Elley Drive 2.5k total there and back. Awesome series on awesome track, can't wait to do it all in a go.
Had a great day on the E-bike, caching on the Westport cycle trails, 39km 6hrs and 44 caches, trails in great order. - Many Thanks Bitsprayer
We have been hunting tonight for them and it’s been really fun. We are doing races with friends and it’s amazing
Hitting town for the weekend. Parked up. Had lunch and then hopped on the bikes.

FTF with Hazedarus.
We were travelling from Nelson to Greymouth but detoured through Westport to do some cache maintenance and look for these new caches which had opportunely been published last night. Our first attempt to find one was aborted at the Tip Head due to 2 cars being parked at GZ so we headed out here to look for these, doing the cache maintenance on the way.
As we parked to look for this the rain started to get heavier and by the time the log was signed it looked like it was settling in so we flagged the rest for another day and headed home instead.
Thank you weenz.

FTF With Holymu. A new placement and some FTF caches were in the offering. Add cache maintenance and it was a no-brainer. A small detour on our way south was a welcome break. Muggles spoiled it for our first find but the maintenance bit went without a hitch. Wet log was replaced with waterproof paper and away we went to the first of some yet unfound caches. Light drizzle fell and intensified as we got closer. Lucky it was a quick find. By the time we got back in the car the rain was really coming down and we decided to leave further caching for another day. Thank you weenz
