Logs
Found with minniek and the remains of the Canberra Penrith Invasion 2024 Group (today consisting of Joolay, Contesta, Flintstones (Sunday Monday), sacada, and Aquilus1 - signing as CPI24.Day 3 of the Canberra Penrith Invasion 2024. With a long weekend upon us a plan was hatched to do another Penrith Invasion as there are still many quality caches up here that we haven't found. We drove up early on Saturday and concentrated on the Band Caches and Horcrux Series, along with many others along the way, then a dinner event at Panthers. Sunday's adventure started with brekkie at Maccas, then a trip up to the Blue Mountains for some quality Caches. Today's adventures started with a morning get together, then consisted of the Caramel Hills series plus anything else that came along before the drive home. A quick find once we carefully picked our way through the long grass. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then continued on to the next cache on our list. Thanks cameron marsh !!
Please to find this today. Grass was pretty long Day 3 and doing some random stuff before heading back home.Up with a group from Canberra running around the Penrith area. Signing as CPI24. for Canberra Penrith Invasion. Thanks for getting me out and about cameron marsh
Spending some time caching around the NSW/ACT southern tablelands with lots of side trips. TFTC. The third day caching around the Penrith area with a mob of Canberra cachers (CPI24). Did a lot of solved puzzles, challenge caches, Ad Labs and many others in between. Finally leaving late afternoon to head back to Canberra.Nice quick find with CPI24
Have to like a good sized container, nice effort here. Log signed today with team CPI24. Today's group is MinnieK, Fitzy_65, joolay, Contesta, Flintstones, sacada and myself. Over the weekend we also had Gliss, Nibletricecakes, Tankengine, dty73 and Youban. After a morning event where the days plans were sorted, met local cachers and cars sorted for the morning. Heading out to find a few more of the solved puzzles, a challenge cache trail and ALs later in the day. Weather was great as was the company and a really enjoyable weekend despite ongoing health issues challenging me. A few technical issue with geocaching and ALs not functioning but worked through it best we could! Thanks for your cache!
Find # 129257/10/2024 Caching adventures continue in Day 3 of the long weekend. Ticking off some of the challenge caches as well as many on the solved puzzles around Penrith surrounds as we can. Fabulous weather for caching, and great to get some warmth too! this is one such cache, found and signed CPI24! for Canberra Penrith Invaders - consisting of Joolay, Sacada, Flintstones, minniek, Aquillis, and Fitzy65. All caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Thanks cameron marsh for The Hills of Carmel
A cache trip to Penrith and the Blue Mountains with a large group from Canberra, signing with CPI24. A number of caches planned and others added on the fly. A fun group outing on a beautiful spring weather day. This cache: A quick find once we carefully had made our way through the high grass very carefully to avoid snakes. The ants have made this thier home. Only little tiny once thoughb was fine to sign Thank you cameron marsh for putting the cache out and maintaining it.
After finding the nearby puzzle offerings I decided to clear out the rest of the neighbourhood. Parked up out front and waded through the thick grass. Certainly wouldnt want to be doing this one in summer! I soon spied the cache container which was awesome and headed around the back by the pond. Lots of ducks and grasshoppers! I signed the log which was a little ratty but certainly okay. I loved the 3D printed welcome! TFTC!! FP
Found it and my excitement of finding this type of container was balanced by the condition of the inside. There was a full ants nest occupying the space and are eating thru the damp log. The bag is broken and I didnt have a big enough one to replace. Emptied out the container as best as possible and when resetting it came across the large GC logo that must have adorned the container at some stage. Placed that in the container but could use a little tlc from CO. TFTC
What a great idea for a cache. A nice surprise. There are red bellied black snakes in the area so have a care. Great cach! Tnln tftc
A quick find was made here but there were a few ants that kept me company for a while
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache cameron marsh

Stop near by and made my way through the scrub until the necessary find. Signed the log and replaced as found. As other noted before me the log hide is home to ants as well. tftc
We are on another short (three day) caching holiday in North Western Sydney, staying for two nights in a park cabin at the Ingenia Holidays Avina BIG4 Holiday Park at Vineyard. Hoping to collect some previously solved Mystery/Puzzle caches, complete some Adventure Labs, and accumulate enough cache finds with our mini seven day streak for this month’s "Wheel of Challenges" (medium) souvenir. Photos will be uploaded to some (most) logs on our return to home base.
Today (day 1) we travelled out to Vineyard, going via Galston Gorge with a stop-off at Fagan Park, then followed Old Northern Road, Kenthurst Road, Pitt Town Road, Blue Gum Road, Annangrove Road, and Old Pitt Town Road to reach the accommodation. This was the 7th of 7 finds for the day (day 1), and 7th find of the holiday.
This Traditional cache was next, parking the geomobile on the road above and then heading down through the scrub to GZ. Searched for a while amongst the grass, then widened the search zone somewhat and spotted the very obvious cache about 10 metres off coordinates. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. This could well have been published as a less common type of cache, rather than a common Traditional, just add a messy thing.
And that's our last cache for today, so now we are off to the nearby shops for supplies, then to the accommodation. TFTC cameron marsh.

OCW BrodyT2010 - Wasn't expecting to see one of these here! Log was signed and quickly delivered back in the hide! TFTC! A definite favourite!
While in the area with goingplaces2 we stopped by to find this cache. It was in the obvious place and the log book was quickly signed and replaced. All good here. TFTC.
We stopped here after managing to get a (FTF) not far away, together with ilook4geo. This one was on our way home and we spotted the hiding place from a distance. Everything was clean and dry and both names were written on the log as a record of our visit. Thank you to cameron marsh for putting this cache into play.
Parked the car on the street and then followed the geo trail GZ. Once at GZ found the cache and signed the log book and then returned it as found. Thank you cameron marsh for placing this cache.
Decided to go on a short bike ride along Windsor Road to find a few new caches that had been published since my last trek including the Caramel Hills puzzle series. Towards the end of my journey, I was getting tired and debated whether to push a little bit further to find this cache, in the end I'm glad I did -- the sun had come out after a few showers as I made my way to GZ for a quick find. Loved the boldness of this cache container! Good size and value, SL and replaced, FP awarded. TFTC cameron marsh!
It was kinda easy to find this one but the clue was kinda hard but then I found it so easily just with three hands it’s very good nice and it my second one of the day I’m so excited
Found with PapaGrouch. Set out this afternoon to find some caches while we were in the area. This was an interesting find, I wonder if it will last. TFTC

Thank you for hiding this cache cameron marsh. This was a great little find. We brought Luca to this cache to see what caching is all about. We found this in the dark. The cache is in excellent condition. We expected a few spiders, but it was winter, and we were lucky.
A favourite point is given.

TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Well that was unexpected
When I pulled up I wondered whether I'd be able to get to GZ but the construction fencing proved not to be an issue. Spotted the cache camo from a little distance away and then honed in quickly on the find.
Thanks for a nicely put together hide (perhaps you could have made it a different hide type) and for showing me to another new housing estate in this growth area of Sydney.

Lovely find! Thank you for your effort - it was the highlight of our day:). Found a trackable - super excited!
Had planned to grab this one a few weeks ago while visiting family but got washed out with the rain so swung by for a quick PnG while ticking off the nearby Caramel Series today with Sarah_Frances. With the addition of one item, this could easily have been a different type of cache.

This was the only find for the day. In my quest to find a traditional on each day of the calendar, I have been looking for easy traditionals in areas that I have already visited. Having already found several mysteries in the area, this one fit the bill. I managed to park almost directly opposite the cache and was surprised at the amount of growth I had to walk through. I was getting a little nervous as there was a fence nearby and the map indicated a small lake nearby so I wasn’t sure how much further I had to walk or if the fence would block my path. Thankfully I managed to keep looking as I navigated the vegetation and webs, and breathed a sigh of relief when seeing the item at GZ that matched the hint. SLTNLN. TFTC.

Love it, not too difficult, however it did take us a while to think about it being more than just the tree...

After completing the Caramel puzzles, Wilbert67 and me also wanted to find the remaining two caches in this area.
This was a good find. Great cache unfortunately the logo got loose from the box. But we managed to put it back with blue tack. Perhaps it would be good if someone came around with some glue or double sided tape.
TFTC and a FP from me.

Very interesting kind of cache here, never encountered like this one before, I mean as a cache. Surely a FP for me, TFTC
#772 - We bravely fought our way through the long grass and were rewarded for our efforts - awesome camo TFTC
Continuing along Mount Carmel drive the houses began to decrease and the streets that appear on google maps did not appear in real life.
Stopped where the GPS pinged and headed towards the appointed location.
Now I had in mind what I was looking for, and there it was!
That was fun!
Really like the 'logo' on the front - I guess that was custom made??
I wonder if as the development increases will this survive? This is a nice little creek area with a few interesting birds so the area might be made into a park, I shall return to see being as birds really interest me, to see what is created here.
Favourite point for the fun.
Now off to Scheyville, if I can find a street that goes through!

After Marsden Park Hub’s we came here and found it in a few mins. Wow that’s fantastic cache! So it’s favourite from me. TFTH
#6051- thomo31 and I arrived to see fencing and thought this doesn't bode well. Then I found this beautifully done one, hidden nicely not far away. A favourite from me. Thanks
Found with WaywardWoman while caching in the area. At first we thought it was fenced off, but as we got closer M, we saw it was ok. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
#8246 (2 of 2 today)
Ticking over the find count today, so headed north west for two new hides at Carmel Hills. No difficulties finding either this afternoon - even though there was long grass at one.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Walked from my last find and... OK not where I thought as I approached.
Carefully followed the compass through the grass and was presented with... well I wasn't quite expecting that! Makes we wonder a bit why this is a Traditional...
Completed signing duties, replaced and back out. Carefully.
And the muggles working on the dwellings over the road were none the wiser.
Time to head back to the car and home - via a little retail therapy.

I was a touch concerned about slitherers, so took my time following the confused arrow in the app. The hint became very obvious. Got back to the car and told my daughter about the hint. She said, "Was it a _____?" Yes it was...smart Alec kid!
First before the bridge find, geez the houses are been thrown together rapidly around here. Apologies for not logging before until now

A great pity that the boring grey town disease has spread this far out. An interesting cache, thanks.
Quick but surprising find even at night. Deserves to be a LBH. Very bold placement, I hope it doesn't get interfered with as a result of construction works. What a fabulous badge!!

Quick {*FTF*} (after publication) with Deep_99 to keep the streak going. Deep had come over to get me to go get a cache but he was wasting time setting up his new phone. While waiting for updates he just happened to look at the cache map and noticed the new cache. We were out the door just as the email notification arrived. There was a log already in the book but has yesterday’s date and we assumed it was the CO. SL #4959 on streak day #3266. TFTC fav awarded
