Logs
Have walked over this bridge many times on our visits with family. Kids were very pleased to find it on our 3rd try. TFTC
Caching in the north with Team Welsh today, we stopped for just a few more on our return journey. A couple of years ago we stayed at a waterfront property just a short walk from here. This hide had us going for a while, so we were rather pleased when we finally clicked and made the find. Sneaky! Adding a Favourite point for the hide. TFTC
This one took us a little while to find but once we looked at where we wouldn't expect it the cache was found. A popular little walk through area so had to time things between muggles. Thanks for all your caches we found today.
Too tricky for me today with only a short time limit before getting the boat across the inlet. Im very curious what the camo is, maybe next time
Great spot and the clue was so obvious but difficult at the same time. Great fun to find with friends, thanks
Nearly gave up.... thought this would be a quick cache, but I hadn't spotted the difficulty.
Sneaky hide, must've taken 20 minutes, but we're retired, what else is there to do

A nice quick find, once we figured out where the hide "must" be. And it was. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Time to head a little further north to Paihia for a couple of nights, before heading home.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Looked and looked and looked and then actually felt quite shocked that I found it!
Thanks 0B80B8.
Thanks 0B80B8.
We had a nice stay close by last night. Today, we had to find this cache. There was goid parking close by. I dealt with muggles checking for dish and Macwatt soin grabbed this sneaky hide. The tide is full, just on the turn, but no kingis to be seen.
What unique spot full tide but not much fish life this was fun and if it wasn't for the ferric oxide it may have taken some time all good at the cache ..thanks 0B80B8 for placing a cache in such great spot
Called in to check on this one today. Log was quite wet, so have replaced with a new WITR log. Hopefully should last a bit better.
Day 2 of our three day Geocaching trip to Whangarei. This stage included a large loop to the East of Whangarei picking up solved puzzles and some Old School Caches. We signed the log as BBIC for Bruzie, BFG, Infoferret and CrystalFairy.
We were searching for the cache and a lady came past and saw us.. We explained we were searching for something and think it might be under the bridge. "I dare you to go under the bridge" she said as she left.. and so BFG did just that. About 30 seconds later Bruzie says "Got it" still high and dry. Interesting spot. T4TC

17:41 Day 2 of a 3 day expedition to the areas north of Auckland with Crystal Fairy and Barefootguru, (joined today by Bruzie) most logs signed as BBIC to save space and time. The focus of the trip was to find a number of puzzle caches solved over the last couple of years, plus other caches of interest we passed.
Took a bit of finding, must be getting tired!
TFTC 0B80B8 for placing this cache, number 11940 for me.

I'm on a road trip to the far north, attempting to complete the PWGT Tahi Geotour.
This is day four, touring around Whangarei. In the company of barefootguru, InfoFerret, and CrystalFairy. Signed logs as "BBIC" for brevity.
Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC
While others were turning this into a T3, I made the find.

Found with weeluna newluna cheese and kiesha. Log book soggy so could write names
A little slippery in the rain but finally found it. Log was damp so soonest as best as I could . Tftc at this beautiful location
Looked a few times and couldn't find it. Passing again today with my husband and he found it within 5 minutes! I maintain his extra height and longer arms make him more agile for feeling around for these things.. Log book soggy today so will return with dry paper to sign. Tftc
A tricky wee thing to find. With gorby who eventually found this one. Found in-between the muggles, thanks for bringing us to your secret bridge
I'm back in Whangarei for 3 days. Have met up with rustynz and eventually Rebel98, for some caching fun in and around this city. Staying 2 nights at Stonehaven motel, we have a bucket full of caches to do, we have plans! Plans must go ahead.
We were here some time, guessing where the cache might be, and although familiar with this type of hide, it still took us ages to find it. But I spotted something that seemed out of place and viola, the cache was in hand. Rusty was pleased and back to my van to start our kayaking.

#11,495. I am on a northern road trip to finish off the latest geotour, pick up solved puzzle finals, virtuals, challenges and a sprinkling of other cache types that are close by. After spending the night in Whangarei I have quite a few things planned today before I stop the night in Kaitaia.
I am now heading out to the coast to get the CANZ Northland cache. But stopped here to have a go at this one. What a tricky wee hide. After checking all the more obvious places I was left scratching my head. Read a few logs and widened the search and was surprised to find such an unconventional cache. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks 0B80B8 for hiding it here. Favourite for the unconventional hide.

Back up home in Northland for a few days, so I took a drive out around the Tutukaka Coast to check on my caches and find some of the newer caches out this way. Hunted in what I thought was the more obvious spots, finding nothing, then extended my search a little bit and found this tricky hide! TFTC!
This is now my absolute favourite Cache simply because of how tricky it was for me and my 2 kids to find. Multiple unsuccessful attempts had me message the owner. As soon as send was hit. I located the cache. Clue not needed. What a find. TFTC.
Quick walk to GZ while waiting for our fish and chips. Soon had cache in hand after waiting out the muggles and reading previous logs. TFTC found with Yvettetb.
What a cute little bridge. Thanks for bringing me here, whilst waiting for our Fish and Chips for lunch. Had to wait for a couple of muggles to pass before having the cache in hand. TFGC
Excellent!
It definitely IS here...I didnt look " there "
yesterday .
Reminds me of a few G-2 hides.
Favourite Point....I am going to run out of these soon!

Sneaky . Spent quite some time on the hunt … text message for a hint lol but managed to find it before the reply came back….nice hide thanks for the cache
Out with Tikitour, found after looking for a while. Had previously tried to find with Grandchildren when just published but did not find. Great camouflage, TFTC
I'd noted this recent listing after our last visit to these parts and recognized where GZ would be as it's close to the work bach we stay in. Fired the phone up before heading to my son's for dinner and noted it was 43 metres away! Wow. Nice easy find at GZ and much gazing into the water. I caught a snapper off the nearby beach last Christmas, but wasn't a keeper so it went back. Thanks for this nice hide, in Auckland a certain hider calls them San Fran specials.
Work is finished for the year and it's time to head to Northland for a few days prior to Christmas. Primarily to see our son and his partner and our grandchildren and also a bit of a beach break at the work bach. A good few days away, and a few caches found, thanks to all COs.

I was going to head out to Ngunguru a few weekends ago but when I got home Friday night we were told we were going into another lockdown I had been hoping to collect the points I needed for my Mt Elbrus souvenir. I was relieved when no covid-19 cases were discovered in the North and we could go free again.
Today was our first day at level two. Woohoo! Geocaching again
I had 7 caches planned for the day some of which required low tides. Fortunately my 16 year old son's school didn't start until tomorrow so he could come along. There was definitely going to be some scrambling around rocks and I didn't fancy doing it alone. We had a great afternoon and I managed to get all the caches I had wanted.
I have to admit this cache did take me a while to find. After the last hot walk I decided to use the ruse of stopping here to apply sunblock while muggles passed. The cache was not revealing itself so I finally read a previous log and had that 'Doh! Should have known bettter' moment. A clever hide. Thanks 0B80B8

1293. 3:01 pm. Quick find by my BH in-between passing muggles on bikes. TFT(quick stop)C.
With a break in the weather we headed off for a walk at dusk to try and find this. Staying up the road and walked past this on the way to great fush n chups last night. Needed the clue but was quickly in hand. TFTC.
Not an obvious attraction! We got caught by some muggles while doing "structural inspections", but it turned out to be unnecessary. TFTC.
Well, it Is a difficulty 3, so the cache masters camo must be just too good for blind old me. Thanks anyway! Wow, I've seen other smaller fish here, but it would be cool to see kingies !
Out for a drive while it was still fine with kids, Parked up on the northern side and walked back to GZ. After a brief search managed to find cache. Signed and replaced. TFTC
