And finally the mountains are done! Can't say i've climbed many, if any, except Mount Barker. TFTC OZGrumpy, very well maintained and informative series.
Thank you for the cache! Found with Chloe! Found 50 caches around Murray Bridge!
Found by The Empire + HOn a warm, overcast spring day, we set off from Murray Bridge, the soft light filtering through thick clouds that seemed to stretch endlessly across the sky. The warmth of the day still lingered despite the lack of sunshine, creating a peaceful, almost dreamlike atmosphere as we began our drive this morning. The countryside around us was alive with the freshness of spring, and along the roadside, patches of native orchids peeked out from the undergrowth. Their delicate pinks, whites, and purples added bursts of colour to the landscape, standing out against the green hills and eucalyptus trees. Each time we found one, I quickly stamped the logbook wherever it happened to open, not bothering with finding the perfect spot. It was all about efficiencysign, seal, and back into the car. Once the log was stamped and the cache replaced, we were off to the next location, keeping a steady pace as we worked our way through the series. The anticipation of both lunch and the afternoon trails kept us motivated, moving from one cache to the next without missing a beat. Most of the caches were quick and easy finds, though a few took a bit longer than expected. Thanks for the cache, and the trail OZGrumpy.-M
Came on the side road out of Avoca Dell so we could get one of the series. Found the SPOR, but no cache in place... we were about to blame the rabbit we scared out, when we spotted the cache in the open nearby. Replaced to match the hint.TFTC
A quick stop to stretch the legs and tick off a few more from this power trail. I only drive this way from Point A to B in order to get a few more 'Found its' TFTC!
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Murray Bridge to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches. Thanks OZGrumpy
We enjoyed a few days away from home, enjoying the scenery, the people we met and, of course, finding cachesThanks to all who made this an enjoyable week.
Find # 13983I'm in the Adelaide area for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Flying solo......Day 8. Homeward-bound.Day started off with a tree climb and a big stretch off the ground. Then a bit of a look around Mt Barker. Then it was the trails. It's been a while since I've hit a long trail and being alone it was just me and the caches to fill the rest of the day in. Some power trails are tougher than others, ie parking locations and barriers can be annoying and chew up time. But happily I managed all hurdles. Even the odd orb spider that made some tracks mazes. Happily that what I'd pland out fell into place with only a couple of DNFs.End of day was a surprise with my biggest solo grab of over 300 in a day. But I have plenty more trails in SA to utilise if I want to better that score TFTC OZGrumpy
Kept the best till last Kossie who hasnt been there.!Now, we can not believe that the last cachers who have found over 101,000 Caches (yes that is correct) and hidden some indecent amount of caches did not find this one!!!!Obviously they only have enough time for 2 minute visits!!For 2 more minutes anybody would find this.Thankfully we did.TFTC
Geoturtle37 and I are making our way towards The Great Leap Forward. A mega being held just out of Adelaide on February 29th 2024. She is very keen to get a mega on a leap day. There seems to be a lot of Victorians heading across to attend. This series was very interesting with the details provided being a great source of information. Not sure that we read all of them but we certainly read most. This was the easiest find of the series we believe. Nice quick find.Thank you for all the work that has gone into setting up the cache pages, putting out this series and now maintaining them for all to enjoy. Please accept our apologies for the generic logs but we have sooooo many to catch up on. Thank you!
Heading west this time I found these caches while heading hime. Thanks for placing them.
A nice group of caches with a mostly walkable track behind the treeline. Saw lots of wildlife, not sure the cows liked me very much, overall a fun time. Thanks!
We headed back out of town today to try to wipe out a few more of the many in the area. All the caches in this series were fairly quick find with the aid of accurate coordinates, good hints and consistent hides. We found all of them this time. TFTC

Thank you OZGrumpy for this marvellous series of caches. I have been on top of many of these mountains and would have like to have been on top of many more. It will take me some time to peruse all of your research. I visited the caches by bike deciding that 22 would do me today. All were in place, some of the square containers had water in them but there were no wet logs. Thanks again.

What a fabulous series of caches up in the mountains!! The detailed cache notes make you feel as if you are really there.
We thoroughly enjoyed the excursion along with our caching buddies and fellow Victorians Suscoe.
Thanks to OZGrumpy for adding this amazing series of caches to the gameboard.

Suscoe was out and about enjoying a day of caching with our very good friends Phetlern.
It was a delightful day, blue skies and sunshine. Hard to imagine it is still Winter.
We found lots of caches today, The AMP Series, The SAR Series, The “Straya” Challenge caches and a few other nearby traditional and multis as we wandered to the North East of Murray Bridge. We had fun using a range of TOTT at a few caches as well.

Making my way back to Adelaide. Got a target on some caches but not as many as other days. Perfect day today
Southern Autumn adventure Day 15. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 9. Our second day spent in Tailem bend was to target the Straya Challenge series. This did not take all day so we were able to get to the Australian Peaks series and the South Australian Rivers series. It was interesting to see some of the 2014 Mega sites re-used. With the end of the day closing in we targeted a bit of the newer section of Wandering heroes, as usual a wide variety of caches in this series. Today is was Fitzy_195, MinnieK and Albida33 and we signed as F.A.M. or similar.
Thanks for the cache OZGrumpy

Day 14 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.
Today fitzy_1965, albida33 & I headed out early to get the caches in the area. We signed as MAF or FAM to save room.
Our aim was to collect the nearby Challenges, then the River & Peaks series and anything in between. Once we understood the hints on the River series, it made the finds so much easier….a clever idea. A great day with no DNF’s.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 14. Today we headed out to drive the Straya series of Challenges plus we also managed to complete the Australian Mountain Peaks (AMP) and South Australian Rivers (SAR) series with a few bonus caches thrown in. A great days caching with no Did Not Finds which was also a bonus. This was the next find of the day, and a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and then we headed off to the next one on the list.
Thanks OZGrumpy !!

Out with Mogni and Allister w for the day. All logs stamped as JAMS. Today's target was to get Mogni closer to 20,000 finds with the aim to get her to 20,000 by the Rutherglen Mega in Victoria. We got 131 finds and 1 DNF for the day. We did the AMP ( Australia Mountain Peaks ) and SAR ( south Australian Rivers ) plus some of the Bindi's GeoMobiles series.
Day 2 of my three day weekend camping and geocaching around Murray Bridge.
Today I concentrated on the area between Murray Bridge and Tailem Bend.
I started this trail back in April this year and I returned today to chip away a bit more on this trail.
All caches found were in good condition.
An enjoyable day with lots of great caches.
Thanks for the cache OZGrumpy.

Cache #11805
Was being taxi driver for DPA down to The Bend for the Supercars again today. Between drop off and pick up it was time for some caching. Main aim was the Australian Mountain Peaks series, on the way there found 10 new Wandering Heroes and the Happy Armpit Series. After those, with just enough time left, headed east for a couple of Used 2Bs and a Game Set and Match, and of course anything else that needed finding without going too far off the planned route.
Thanks to OZGrumpy for putting out this cache for us to find.
*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*

This was Day 7 of our trip to SA. I was in the splendid company of Cybergran who assumed chief navigator role again today.
Starting at Mount Kosciuszko we completed the remaining 31 in this series.
The Mannum road was quite busy but good areas mostly to pull off.
Much quiter when we turned off at Mount Woodroffe
I like this series a lot as these mountains bring back so many happy memories to me amongst their summits.
Nice easy to find containers too
Logged as Ftop and Cgran.

First off, we apologise for the generic log and this in no way reflects on this series as we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Some of the mountains we were quite familiar with, some we have even visited whilst geocaching b but quite a lot we hadn't heard of which made the information on the cache pages very interesting and informative.
All the hides were found quite quickly, the only problem being no 23 which had a bit of water in it and we dried it out as best we could and the log book is still suable. We're not sure how it got wet with the extra protection which we think is a great idea.
A couple of them the ants had taken it upon themselves to be guardians and didn't like the idea of us signing the log.
Many thanks OZGrumpy for all the effort gone into the placements and the cache pages, we are looking forward to doing the rivers series but unfortunately we ran out of time today as we had an appointment to keep.
Today we are starting a new journey with Brisal5, our aim is to have a fun day and make loads of memories. Laughing was a main priority and there was plenty of this. We did the Happy Arm Pit series, some more Wandering heroes, SAR, ice-cream and AMP. All caches that needed any repairs were fixed. The short story is that we had a great day. SL TFTC
Muff1 had snuck across the border to hit some power trails and were staying in Tailem Bend at present. Hey, I have a few down there I would like to get - so it was off to meet them for a long day caching. [^] We did some newish ones along Wandering heroes and that led us into the Happy Armpit Series. Early visit to the Tailem Bend Bakery for an early lunch and then it was off for Ice-Cream for dessert followed by South Australian Rivers and Australian Mountain Peaks series. Skipped stopping for any tea and continued unstill after dark by torchlight to finally completes the series.
SAR AND AMP SERIES:
Karoonda Road caches completed we just had this little section to the turn off to complete as the sun started to set. [^] Glad we didn't do this first as this was indeed the hardest section to get access to the caches. But we found them all...eventually finishing by torchlight.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks OZGrumpy for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Today I headed to Naracoorte for a friends 50th celebrations at Farmers Leap. I was supposed to be leaving home at 9am which became 11am, I blame a very busy week at work.
So ended up with just enough time to find 40 caches. It was a super day for caching and didn’t see any snakes although I am sure they saw me.
Then on to Naracoorte and copious amounts of Destiny.
Thanks to OzGrumpy and Ghosty7 for the great hides.

Erine14 and I made the most of a shared day off while the weather was nice! It had been a while since we had done a trail, and this one was excellent. Coords spot on, all caches found in good condition. We did the first 30 of the series, and will be back for the rest! 47 finds total for the day. We did it by car and were happy to see that the roadside was nice and wide to park safely. Thanks for the series!
A pleasant day spent caching around the MB area. We targeted this series and a few odd ones to begin with before heading back into MB for late lunch and a handful more. A great series, we will be back another day to complete is and the river series TFTC
Originally I was going to find some caches in Murray Bridge, but as it happens, The Show is on. So I move to Plan B, which is to make a start on this series. It’s my preference to do a trail like this on foot rather than stop/starting in a car, and this series is suitably spaced for that. Great work, thanks OZGrumpy.
I’m leaving the FP for the series here, as this is the one I have actually climbed, albeit from Charlottes Pass. Not a steep walk, but a long walk.

Found with hevwalker on our day of caching....we met up with froghoppin and Mattycat around noon to discover new cache trails and search high and low for smiley faces. Great stories shared and made today as we cached the trails in the area. TFTC OZGrumpy.
I ventured to Murray Bridge with scramping for a weekend of caching & to attend CP's event tomorrow...
Around mid morning we were joined by froghoppin and Mattycat for a fantastic day in perfect weather...there was a lot of catching up to do in among the finds...
scramping & I did the first 16 before the boys arrived then did some individual caches while they caught up and met at AMP017 for the rest of the day...
This was a nice quick find...
I remember Mt Kosciuszko well...when I was 10yo my family went for a trip here...the snow had not quite started falling in great amounts so what I thought was snow was actually icy sludge...while my siblings played in the "snow" I sat in the car as it was far too cold for me...then after I fell in a fish pond in Cooma Mum washed my woollen jumper and put it in the drier and shrunk it...Great Memories...I have since experienced the lovely soft but still cold snow and it was not as I remember...thank goodness
