Now that was a sneaky hide, nearly had me beaten. Great location. Favourite point given.
By the way we visited the stone man and found the cache. Greetings from Switzerland
Travelling from Arkaroola to Maree, we had a few stops apart from the ECs, our favourite type of caches. This one was one of these and most welcome to learn about the history of this area, fascinating. What an explorer! Life changed is so different now ...Second time we see a similar inuksuk: it reminded us of the same structure found on a high ski slope in Whistler, British Columbia (there was also an EC there ).Thanks Freddo for the placement....and we like that type of cache.Greetings - pilot03#4518
13235 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 0920. We are on our way further south today. We will grab caches as we go. SL Tnx Freddo and .Sallymander. All containers in good condition unless stated.
An intersting structure on the horizon as we travelled down the highway, cache was a quick find amongst the many flat stones with names on it, added one for us as wellTFTC Freddo
We are off on a trip to the Birdsville Races and then across to Queensland - the plan is for about 6 weeks of travel - all going well.
Week 1 we have travelled from Portland to Farrell's Flat near Clare.
Week 2 was Clare to Port Augusta.
Day 16 was Clarrie's waterhole at Lyndhurst to Clayton Wells and we are finally on the Birdsville Track.
Another cool spot although I would have wondered if there was a more local wayfinder. Ironically I was reading about these in the Canadian novels Three Pines only this morning so I was able to impress Mr Morris with my knowledge.
Thanks for contributing to our holiday Freddo

Left Ferina this morning heading for William Creek, just had to stop and check this out, and of course grab the cache. Cool spot TFTC
Working our way home from a tour at Maralinga with a group of cachers, mainly from South Australia. Now there is only Geoturtle37, Team Crackers, Micaparamedic and myself. We are having a great time, visiting new, remote locations and finding caches as we go.This was a nice quick, typical hide. Thanks for placing this cache and bringing us here.
After leaving Maralinga with Geotutrle37 and Papi4506 and heading north to Marla to log another LGA we are heading south slowly making our way home.
We had to change our plans as the road to Roxby Downs was closed due to rain we headed to Marree to spend the nightand are now again heading south.
We spotted this structure as we were approaching GZ.
Once there we read the plaque and commented about how secure it was. The cache turned into a nice quick find and we added our names to the log. After rehiding we went to explore the structure. Now we know the meaning of it.
Many thanks for the history of a great explorer and also the structure.

Heading south with Team Crackers, Papi4506 and Geoturtle37 as the road to Roxby Downs is closed, facilitating a detour via Port Augusta and Woomera. A quick park and grab, photograph the stone monument and move on.
Thanks Freddo and Sallymander for placing this cache.

We stopped here to check out the memorial and saw there was a cache here. So had a quick look but without it being downloaded I wasn't sure where to look. As we went close to the statue I managed to get reception and get the hint. Walked back to gz and instantly saw the cache. Not sure how it was missed when we first looked.
Thanks for placing

We are travelling from Adelaide, visiting Parachilna, Coward Springs, Eringa Waterhole, Mt Dare, Dalhousie Springs, across the Simpson desert to Birdsville, Innaminka, down the Old Strezlecki Track to Lyndhurst, a stopover in Mintaro and home again.
What a strange site to see out here. We introduced our two muggle friends to caching and found a nice new log book.

Found with SpidermonkeysMum on our trip along the Old Ghan Railway Heritage Trail from Quorn to Finke, Lamberts Centre then back along the Stuart Highway. Had a great trip, stopping often for caches/coffee/camping. Weather was very sunny during the day, freezing at night but I love a good campfire. Thanks for the reason to stop.
What an amazing tribute.
This leg of the journey saw us head from Jamestown to Alice via the Oodnadatta Track and Dalhousie Springs. I only found a few of the caches each day as I want to save some for later on when we return.
Highlights was the Farina Bakery, beers at Marree, William Creek and Mt Dare hotels, Peake mining area, fishing at Algebuckina, swimming at Dalhousie (with dingoes howling in the night) and sharing Lamberts with hundreds of mice.. and the caches too!
Sandyofthesea and I took off from Perth at the start of April to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. How good is this country!!

We decided to load up the camper and run away from home for a week or two. The rain and a domestic water repair made us change our plans a few times but it didn't detract from the fun. We met quite a few people and learnt a lot from them - we were privileged to be shown a dugout at Coober Pedy and station life at Edeowie. We also found time to find a few caches, but we still have many unfound in the areas visited. Looking forward to returning to the upper north of South Australia one day soon.
Thank you to all those who helped make our trip very enjoyable.

After overnight rain we were second guessing our attempt. Turns out a little mud never hurt anyone. TFTC.

Catching up on some logging of found caches after being in no internet reception terrain for some days. This adventure was with ilook4geo and all logs found were signed to mark our visit before all was put back as it had been found. Thanks go to Freddo and Sallymander for placing this cache.
Working on the backlog of caches found with goingplaces2. Not a lot of caches found as we head away from populated areas. Thanks to each CO for adding to the caching game. Cache found, log signed, job done!
We are fans of Mr S. Especially Janet.
Unlike B&W he didn’t die. Well done that man!
A nice little spot to stop.
We are also impressed you had a container of the correct colour!

Second to find
Found on yet another trip without crossing borders. Like many others overseas trips are on hold. Even interstate is hard to plan. So we are taking the time to explore and re-explore our home state of South Australia.
This trip is take 2 as our first attempt was clobbered 2 days in by a sudden lockdown meaning we had to turn back home again. Two weeks later and the geohounds are back at puppy holiday camp. Our plan is Hummocks Station, Willow Waters Gorge (brilliant!), Farina, and then the Oodnadatta Track to Algebuckina Bridge, then through to Eringa Waterhole and then on to Mt Dare. After that the likely path (assuming the NT border is open) is via Finke to Lambert’s Centre of Australia and then we will turn back south. We may drop into the Painted Desert on the way back and perhaps also take a side trip to see Lake Caddibarrawirracanna. We hope to find a few caches along the way and maybe hide a few as well. We are certainly having fun so far.
