We grew up with dogs but never introduced them to our boys, and teaching a goldfish to roll over typically ends with them floating upside down & needing to be flushed. Tftc

Time to get away for the weekend, so a weekend trip to Bendigo (& St Arnaud) was organised with Geoturtle37. Glad we didnt attempt this at night, as there was a great big hole close to GZ! And I would have been the one to fall in hahaha. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, TeamDKMDK ~~

There are many geopets in this world of geocaching, it is sad when we lose our dear ones. They, at time, would lead us to a cache like an expert. SL TFTC

Find # 12663

Driven past this area a number of times over the past year to get to my appointments in Bendigo.

Finally I had a little extra time up my sleeve so I decided on a detour.
Wow didn't expect the track to be that much of a hill. The 2wd truck made it easily thankfully.

A quick find at GZ and now off to the checkup.

Great spot. Park and walk down track as very steep.

25-May-23
Parked the Geo car down the bottom and made the tuff slog up to find some construction, oh, and the cache. On the way back to the GC, I managed to get some doggy pats of a friendly dog being walked by his owner.

What a lovely tribute. Geo kids swapped a couple of items. Master 10 loved the Jake the Dog finger puppet he found, he swapped it out for a dice and sticker.

What a lovely tribute. I'm a confirmed doggy person. Always had dogs. We lost our 14yo Border Terrier just before Christmas following his 2nd vestibular attack. Such unconditional love & devotion Many thanks for sharing

Found by Rebel Acts

I had been thinking about a trip to Bendigo for over a month so that I could find My centroid cache and with an event in town this weekend plans were made to do a few days caching with My good mate Omegaman1971.There are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles.

This is one of the caches found today.

Thanks TeamDKMDK for the cache

Back in Bendigo with Rebel Acts for a few days of caching fun, It's great to see so many new caches around town.

The weather wasn't the kindest ,sun was absolutely baking but still had a great day of caching.

Geocachers often need a tree for one reason or another, with today being National Tree Day it was terrific to see so many geocachers busy working at the Gold Leaf Wetland Reserve (Huntly) Tree Planting. After planting 80 odd seedlings we set about searching for caches in and around Bendigo.
What a neat tribute!

Thanks to TeamDKMDK for placing such interesting caches.

A nice little drive up to GZ to test out the new All-Terrain tyres on the Geomobile. A lot less stressful than taking dirt roads with 22" rims and low profile tyres! A heartfelt story about Snoopy but thx for hiding a cache for him. CIGC TNLNSL. Great first hide!

Find #2534 for me. Found at 12:02 pm with my dog Bonnie (very fitting for this cache!). My car navigator didn't recognize the road that led here but I thought I'd see how far I could get in my small 2WD as I approached along Batten St. from the east. I could get quite close as it turned out, but as I drove up the hill I felt the car slipping a little on the loose stones so when I saw a steeper bump in the road near the top, I decided to reverse the car, park on the bottom and walk up. Probably the car would have made it without incident, and possibly reversing down a fairly steep, potentially slippery slope was a greater risk, but in the end I got to park safely and leave without any trouble which is all that matters. After getting some extra exercise walking up the hill with my small dog, I had no trouble finding your nicely hidden tribute cache. Thanks for the fun and the cache TeamDKMDK, and congratulations on a nice first hide!

I was heading over to Jackass Flat for a couple of caches there when I noticed a FTF so headed that way. Is just parked when my friend micaparamedic materialised and said ‘you’re too late’. But it’s never too late to find another cache . Thanks Team DKMDK

11-Aug-21
2nd day out of lockdown 6, 2nd day out caching. I was planning on hitting the shops this morning but a quick check of an email that came in last night indicated there may still be a FTF to find. Plans changed and off I went. I found an access road and was able to park within 10 metres of GZ. Out of the geoPatrol and the search began. Happily, the search was over within two minutes and a quick find and log ensured.

Thanks TeamDKMDK for placing this cache.
