Today we had a long round trip ahead of us, from Pialba over the old railway line to the pier and back along the coast to Pialba. On the way we found all but one of the caches we were looking for. Two were lying on the ground in the area and could be put back, but unfortunately one could not be retrieved because it was jammed. Overall the caches were in good condition, dry and there was enough space in the logbooks for entries. Thank you for the lovely and informative round!
We are in Urangan for a week to house and dog sit, and escape cold Melbourne. I headed out on a bike loaned from the wonderful jaktembo to complete the rail trail caches on a balmy afternoon. A little diversion from the trail caches to find this stand alone. I wonder what happened to #1? A nice sized cache in a logical location. Reset as found with natural camouflage. Had only just replaced it before a muggle strolled by with a friendly staffy. All in good dry condition. TFTC
Took a quick diversion to get this one while doing the rail trail series. Found with Chrissylat. TFTC
Quick little detour from the trail we were doing. This was a quick find log was signed, replaced and back onto the trail. TFTC.
Whilst doing the rail trail I stopped to grab this one. Took me ages, don't know why I didn't check the obvious spot first. Thanks jg047!Today is day two of our Hervey Bay trip, and today I am out on the deadly tredley caching the new series of caches that run from Urangan Pier to the business centre, then back again via the esplanade, picking up a few stray caches and AL waypoints. In the afternoon whilst collecting bait for fishing I was able to go and rectify a nearby DNF.Heading north on a 5-day trip to Hervey Bay with the family has allowed me to go out and cache the surrounding area. I was able to cram the tredley into the back of the warthog and travel north, stopping a few times. Once to maintain a cache, and another to find a cache. I finally set sights on my destination, Torquay. Over the course of the few days I had, I cycled the new rail trail series of geocaches, did a combined day of shelling and caching Point Vernon, took a drive through Booral and River Heads, travelled to Howard, Torbanlea, Toogoom and Dundowran. On the final day I spot cached as I made my way south, stopping in Walligan, Susan River, Beaver Rock and Owanyilla. I then fought the southbound traffic for a while, then detoured via Yengarie and through Tiaro back to the sunny coast. All things considered, a great holiday and a productive one for geocaching! a MASSIVE thank you to all the COs that I found the caches of along the way!
When to Harvey Bay to do some caches with KabbellaQld and Danielle46 signed as KTD we followed the M2BRT to the end it was a great walking trail Tftc
Fast find in a quick diversion from the trail. Signed KTD (KabbellaQld, ToucanKB and Danielle46). Collected the TB to continue its travels. Tftc.

TFTC jg047, this one had me stumped my gps had me going into dangerous territory. Then DaDa I got the turn around & have a look THERE. Woohoo. Just a few to look for this morning as it is time to leave the Bay.
I was a little stumped here as I walked around and around as the gps bounced about. Luckily a previous comment helped and I uncovered what I was seeking TFTC
Found it on 23 June 2023 12:22 pm find number 1147 for this pirate lady. Tftc
We had a nice drive around the area finding a few caches and this is one we found. After parking in a side street we had a short walk to GZ where the cache was spotted. Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks jg047 for the hide.
While staying at Hervey Bay we picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
A quick find, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Not sure if that is the original hiding place as it seems to be slightly off the mark but reading some of the comments helped narrow it down.
Can't remember if I found this on the Tuesday or Wednesday but do remember going the high terrain way to get to the cache and discovering the track on the way back!

Nice stroll from parking spot to cache. This is my first cache I've attempted since my son passed away 1 month ago. He was my little caching buddy. Tftc.
This is a lovely well maintained park, we can see that it could be quite busy at different times of the day. SL TFTC
Tftc jg047, made a quick find in this cache. Had to pat a few dogs and chat to their owners before we ducked behind the trees.
Nice spot that plenty of locals seem to use

Parked in a shady place and then walked through the park to GZ. The clue had us a bit confused until sense kicked in and the find was made.
Our time at Hervey Bay is coming to an end. We will leave quite a number of caches unattempted, but we have enjoyed our time here. Magnificent coastal scenery and a good variety of caching in both hides and types.
Today we focussed on the remaining Ad Lab as we worked our way along the Esplanade. Missed a few because of muggles but really enjoyed the area. Thanks to the local cachers for n excellent time.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache jg047.

Quick trip to Hervey Bay for my daughters birthday and finding a few caches in between down time over the four days.
Been here looking for it’s predecessor but never managed to find it. Came back today it was unfortunately out in the open.
Made the very easy find and then replaced with a lot of leaf camo. I don’t think it’s in the right spot based on the hint but it’s at least hidden.
All the logs are in good condition unless specified otherwise, and they were all found with ease unless specified otherwise.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **jg047**, certainly good to clean the map up a bit more around the area.

TFTC! Well I just had to find this one, as it became active on my Birthday - 26/7. Spending a few nights in Hervey Bay and finding a few caches while here. Nice little park, with a lagoon at this location, with no one about. I actually sat at GZ on the log, taking in the scenery.
Walked around and around roo many trees before I decided to check an obvious place
The rain has given up for the moment so we decide to get some walking in.
Part way in I realise that the path is car track and Buttons heads back to bring the car in.
I’m at GZ when she pulls up behind me, points out what she thinks is the target (mainly because I’m too busy trying to figure out what the two green box’s on the tree are) and has it by the time I stop being distracted.
The rain decides we’ve had enough of a break by this time and starts back up again. We sign the log and grab the trackable. Buttons realises she’s run out of buttons in her pockets but I’m already burying the cache under some camo and about to bolt for the car. She decides that getting soaked isn’t worth the return trip and we head off.
It’s a beautiful spot with ducks and water fowl about the place, they are certainly enjoying the rain more than we are.

Nice walk and good hiding location. Unfortunately cache container does need replacing. Thanks
Great place for early morning walk with lots of birdlife. Rough walking pad across Waterhouse and around eastern side of lake.
Nice find in a hidden park. Coords led me a bit further away but used my geosenses and the hint for a quick find. TFTC
I was in the Bay to get some new golden similes and this one was on the list. When I eventually found a spot to Park not that far away from GZ it was a short walk and a quick find. TFTC
This was a nice quick find in a really pretty park. Lots of ducks out this morning. The cache is in very good condition and the logbook is nice and dry. Replaced with lots of camouflage as requested. TFTC

During our short caravan trip, we spent one day in Hervey Bay. We love the spectacular views on the water and to refresh our memories.
And tackle new caches and older ones.

TFTC. We had come into Hervey Bay to meet up with some friends for a BBQ lunch in the Botanic Gardens. After lunch we headed to GZ for a quick search and retrieve before doing some shopping.
