Found on 4/8/24Nearly gave up but found it. Nice spot. Confession- I did accidently dropped the joker but he was found and placed back in the cache!Lovely little park
We all wanted to give up - after so much spiking... But after walking away and back with fresh eyes - boom - there it was.
I found it but it was floating in the river so I had to pull it out and put it back into place
Found with icw who made the plunge. Serious Magpie business was going on as an interloper bird had entered the local family's territory, not a good career move. Tftc.
After giving up another time, we found it lost straight away. Took nothing, left a Joker wobble mini. Tftc
Nice find though it was drugs at first but then realised it was the geocath
In the area for some survey work, I got delayed by the client and decided to have some fun while waiting.Got lucky and found 4!
GPS was telling me to go for a swim, but I ignored it. Dont like searching among those types of plants as they can hurt a bit. Found after a short hunt
Would love a hint if the coordinates have changed
Two kids and I tried our best though

T'was a cold and rainy afternoon in old Croydon town. There was a window of opportunity to dart out between meetings for another BernieH lockdown cache.
I seized the chance, grabbed the raincoat and gortex boots and ventured out. Nine minute drive. Great. Arrived and parked near the school entrance, glad that it was school holidays. I meandered over to GZ and a shudder of dread passed through me. Nothing for it but to dive in and get dirty. After 20 min of furious searching and suffering multiple spikes from the bushes I was ready to call it a DNF. The precipitation had increased dramatically and the rain was streaming into my eyes, obscuring vision.
Nope, not again BernieH, not this time. And low and behold there it was like manna from heaven. I'm sure I looked here. Amazing how you can turn what should be a simple find into something else. Thanks for the cache BernieH.

Geoson was out and about with a friend. The friend located this challenging cheeky hide. Thanks for the cache
I had a DNF on this cache a few months ago and vowed never to return, as my least favorite type of hide is in this type of vegetation. However the blue face annoyed me, so a return trip was arranged. This time the search was successful, and later on in the day I was able to help fellow geocachers find it, in return for them helping me with another cache that was giving me problems. Cooperation and collaboration to the max.
YES FINALLY! Everytime we tried looking for this cache there was some type of disturbance with it and we weren't able to find it. This time with some extra help in making sure it was there we were able to make this find. TFTC
Good news was that today was another Friyay (My work gives me the last Friday afternoon of every month off thus the 'yay' part) so a perfect opportunity to work on completing the hard souvenir for the favourite fan challenge for this month.
I started of trekking around Warrandyte hills gold country and then headed over to Croydon for some less strenuous finds.
I arrived here and noticed a muggle walking towards me way over in the corner of the park so waiting a second... they were moving so slowly (like one step every 10 seconds - it was like the old Six Million Dollar man action sequences) that I had plenty of time to look out of view of them and came up with the goods soon after.
Thanks BernieH for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Of all types of hides, this is my least favorite.
I got dirty and muddy (not a problem) and cut from the nasty grass (problem). I gave it a good shot but could not find this chap, despite it having been found recently. The GPS was jumping around all over the place. Bah. Yuk.

We needed to go to Chirnside Park so took the opportunity to look for this one as we noticed there has been some activity. It was great to get a DNF redemption. Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.
This was a quick find this morning with Papi4506 whilst we were grabbing some shopping. Great to turn a frown upside down. Thanks for the cache.
Really hard to try and find it without nearly slipping in the water, will try again a different day better footwear
Still in place and waiting to be found

We weren’t quite sure what to expect when we arrived at GZ. There seemed to be many places for the container. The initial search proved fruitless but after changing my approach the container was located - in the end a little easier than we expected. Thanks to BernieH for the cache.

Our second time here, as it was missing last time we tried. Still a DNF for us. This place might be a hotspot for muggles.
Couldn’t find it myself so I’ve replaced the container.

There's lots of evidence this area has been searched or at the very least cleaned up by Muggles.
Unsure if it is still here, but 10 minutes of searching yielded nothing.

TFTC.. found Waa a little too much in an open clearing, placed it under in the same spot where I found it.. log a little damp.
Almost got home from my trip away when I realised I didn’t find a cache today. A quick check of the map and this one wasn’t too far out of my way.
Parked the car and wandered over for a quick find in a park I’d not visited before.
Thanks for bringing me here today by placing this cache, BernieH

A beautiful sunny autumn day , so I thought why not take advantage and add some smileys to my local map. A quick find . Thanks BernieH .
It was a little hard because this is my first one but eventually found a container and I was so happy, took the plastic spider and replaced with a dinosaur toy
Out with xambo4u, we were going to have a short day, but we were having far too much success to stop.
Last cache for the day. A beautiful place to finish our tour of the Croydon area. Thanks BernieH

Out and about with echidna44 for what was to be a short day but we just kept going on. This is going to be definitely our last one for us for the day. Nice easy find. Thanks for all your caches today BernieH. Nice little park here.
Found 6:59 am
A quick find and on the last day before having to return to work. Another impressive parkland here.

Although I got to this area first, I had overshot the mark a bit so was at the back of the group once we got to GZ where we disturbed a couple of Woodducks. G found it immediately and not exactly well hidden so another quick and easy find - TFTC
We arranged to meet up with quiet1_au to find your new caches. This was next on the list and GMelb found it straight away as it was completely exposed. After signing we rehid a bit better. Enjoying this tour of the local parks!

My GPS was being uncooperative today and had me going back and forth between likely places but I eventually uncovered the cache .. thanks BernieH for placing the cache
Another cache found whilst in the intrepid company of Crustyvarmint! I didn't know this park existed so enjoyed the surprise of it and watching CrustyK9 splashing in the water doing her best to help find the cache! Thanks BernieH
I found this cache today on my Monday Morning Croydon Cache Caper. This was, believe it or not, our 3rd cache find in this park and all were almost at this spot. A nice cache to find and the park has the same name as my first school, though that was in Adelaide and it is no longer a school. Thanks from D B-A
I was out, enjoying the sunshine with Redcb and Crusty K9 today. We enjoyed tracking down some of the new puzzles in the area, As we walked to GZ, Crusty K9 enjoyed a visit to the dam, and came away in a happy frame of mind.
Thanks for introducing us to this reserve BernieH. I didn't no of it's existence.

A nice sunny day to be out caching with Omegaman1971, we noticed Bernie H had been busy placing some new caches in an area we both knew well, we had a good time revisiting areas we had been to previously over the years.
Thanks BernieH for the cache.

Perfect weather to be out with Rebel Acts putting some smiles on my local map.
I'm sure there was a cache here a few years back.

Had some time off this morning amongst running some errands, so went in search of a few fresh caches.
I was surprised how well hidden a cache of this size was here in this park I've never visited before, but didn't need the hint.

I originally found this cache with my Mum heymissjo, but now that I have my own account, I am logging. Thanks for the cache.
For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache. Joint (FTF) with The Welder

This was a cheeky find...
I had said I was only going for the newly published cache just down the road from home. And so, Geo-bug (mini Heymissjo) was delegated to represent Team HMJ tonight and keep me out of mischief.
But Heymissjo knows me better than I know myself. She knew I wasn't going to be settled at just one find.
She quietly laughed with the new fur baby at her other, oh so predictable, 'hound'.
Some things never change!
Geo-bug was in on it too apparently, for she was more than happy to chase caches with me as a more appealing alternative than following her routine bedtime.
We soon pulled up opposite the park. It was quiet and dark, aside from the cool glow of the sparse street lights and a solitary house flashing the gaudy colours of an impending Yuletide season. It got Geo-bug reminiscing about past years of driving around looking for Christmas lights - you've got to love it when your eleven year old waxes lyrically of distant memories from years gone by...
We cut a B-line across the grass to the path, hoping the terrain would stay kind, for Geo-bug had rushed out the door tonight in just pink pajamas and thongs - so I guess 'stealth mode' wasn't really an option for us tonight, lol.
Our happy conversation began to be accompanied by the sounds of distant dogs and a growing number of nearby frogs. It was a lovely little walk to GZ and I can only imagine that the park is even more beautiful in daylight.
At GZ, nothing immediately struck us in the soft torchlight - I probably should have brought a decent torch, lol. We glanced at the clue to help make some progress...
And we moaned.
That wasn't going to be easy with a bouncy signal, the dark of night and weak torches.
But only a couple of minutes of searching was required and the treasure was found. It was bigger than I had anticipated - surprisingly well concealed given the simple hide.
We popped our names on the log and kindly souvenired a pathtag for 'she who was attending to the fur baby', and who knew we would stay out and keep playing past the single cache I said we'd get..
Yes, indeed - some things never change...
Thanks, BernieH, for so much...
It was your caches that first put me on the hunt and inspired me on my geocaching journey back in 2016. I lived around the corner from you then, and so your caches taught me much about my local area.
But then, as you mentioned in this cache description, you moved.
It's funny how some years later, in another part of the world, I'm again 'just around the corner' from you and you're still teaching me about my local area with your caches!
So yes, some things really never change!
And I'm grateful for that.

Mini heymissjo was on a mission tonight, despite the pj’s, despite the thongs… The Welder is a good trainer of stealth mode. Although maybe next time, we should swap the Fluro pink with black lol. Good to get a second joint (FTF). Thanks BernieH for keeping us busy.
