We were making our way back to our accomodation for our weekend visit to Bendigo, when this cache popped up on our radar. We had just enough time to walk from our parking place to GZ and back before darkness descended. A great walking path and loved the final crossing to the island - all dry today, despite the rain yesterday. SL at 5.30pm #11,080 A favourite point awarded. TFTC TeamRobbie

There were quite a number of birds on the lake as were walked around to the posted coordinates. As I approached GZ I unfortunately managed to disturb a number of Australian White Ibises and a Royal Spoonbill. Pity! The cache was spotted reasonably quickly. Nice cache! Thanks to TeamRobbie for the cache and the bird watching.

A lovely morning walk alongside the lake. The stepping stones to get to GZ were a bonus, and then a quick find.Another beautiful day in Bendigo so we decided to head south. The area was not what we expected, but was interesting just the same with lakes and old water treatment facilities along with other historical sites. Lots of walking and long searches were our lot today.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache TeamRobbie.**SKI Pair****

What a beautiful location for a cache. We live nearby and love visiting this lake, and the linked creek trail.I visited GZ to hunt with my muggle friend, and after reading a few logs, we quickly had it in our sights.Never seen a container like this, and a really fun location. TFTC

In town with 2 cars today while one gets serviced, a shame they don't have a courtesy car for us to go geocaching.Reached GZ and my heart did a flip flop, geohubby recovering and not able to make the crossing at the moment, so it was up to me, AND I DID IT.The cache certainly isn't a drive by and I would say not a T1.5 either, but container is cute.Cache found and log signed, TB's visited

03-Jun-23
Fun one

I dropped my car off to get new tyres so what other way is there to pass time? A coffee from the van & a stroll around the lake. Got a few photos of Mohawk Pigeons for my daughter who loves seeing these.
I loved the crossing and then, yet again, Geocaching taught me to throw out any preconceived ideas regarding hides!!
A fav from me for the location and the container. Many thanks

Ghihash and I made plans to do some caching around Bendigo and grabbed dinner.
After dinner we started a multi and grabbed this cache on the way past; as we went to put this cache back I handed it to Ghihash and we accidentally dropped it, after a quick search we relocated it and replaced it.
Found at 7:35pm

Find # 12413

In Bendigo for my appointment again. A little early so I decided to go caching...

Wow this one took a bit to find. Both GPSr and phone were having hissy fits on the island...but I got the little blighter in the end.

Passing by doing a multi i hadnt done yet. Stopped by with k9team who hadn't done this cache. I loved the new container!

Panic!!! K9 team hands me the micro to place back away when I dropped it!! More panic in the dark as we scambled around via tourch light terrified I'd dropped it in the water.

Desperation hits! Crawling around with the bull ants inches from my face where the heck did it go?!?!

Relief finally found it and so thankful it didn't end up in the water.

Leason learned: Don't be so clumsy with small objects!

Thanks to TeamRobbie for this adventure and hide.
The grass was quite wet as we approached the crossing point. Wet boots and trousers already and the day was still young.
Suscoe made the crossing, found the hide and signed the log.
All good here this morning.

A nice stroll around the lake. The spillway was impassable so via the swingbridge instead.
Hopped across the the island to the well hidden cache.
All good here.
Thanks TeamRobbie

Finally got this one today after a previous DNF where the prize was too deep in the tree for us. This new hide was well worth the effort for LittleBoss2 and I and Geo the puppy, who accidentally had his first swim today due to the first couple of rocks being below the surface. Always a bonus to have a laugh while getting a smilie. Thanks for placing and replacing, great hide

Find No. 3772. Found at 3.45pm

A trip to Bendigo for a look around and do some shopping. Out at Kangaroo Flat we decided to see what caches were close by that we haven't found and this was the second of two that we had time for before heading home.
Such a cute tiny hide on a tiny island that was easy for us to get to today.
We left the area with a smiley but unfortunately no donuts for us as they had packed up and gone home.

We just loved everything about this hide that we are giving it a favourite point.

On my way home from work arfter getting a few days knocked off my calander over the weekend I knew I needed to find atleast 1 cache today. Seeing this cache on the map I thought a walk around the lake would also do me good so off I went.

Really enjoyed finding this one. Thanks TeamRobbie for placing this and for your consistent matinance on the cache.

We actually lived in central Vic for around thirty years, GZ was all new territory for us. Soon had our name in the log of a very clever hide.

Thanks to TeamRobbie for placing caches in interesting locations.

I haven’t spent much time caching in Bendigo, so with a couple of events on for the weekend I decided to team up with OzHockeyChick for some caching adventures.

We crossed the tretcherous waters to reach the island treasure and made the find soon after arriving. It turns out it was our second visit to this area after stopping for donuts in the car park earlier in the day.

Thanks TeamRobbie for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to find.

Can't believe how close to this one we were earlier on in the day. We had stopped over near the road to grab a snack and take a pit stop. It was only when looking for a cache on the road behind this park area that we noticed this one here. A short stroll and a balancing act and the cache was in hand. Thanks for placing it for us to find.

A weekend road trip camping adventure with RoamingHowie, exploring the Bendigo area as well as attending a couple of events and a cito, teaming up with Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 along the way.

We arrived and started heading over to gz, when we realised we'd been so close to here earlier in the day when we stopped for donuts.

Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, TeamRobbie

In Bendigo for Christmas with the rellies and out today to pick up a cache to fill another day on the caching calendar. A great spot for a cache and access today was trouble-free with the weather being dry although we were a little concerned about the creaking tree branches above. Although not in the first place we looked we were able to make a relatively quick easy find. TFTC and bringing us to this great spot. While we have stopped on the Highway side of the Lake a number of times we have never ventured to the other side of the Lake. After locating the cache we did go for a walk around the lake and across the swing bridge.

Found it does need a new pen

10-Dec-21
Replaced pen

Out for the day with LittleBoss2 trying to get her to 1000 caches by years end.
This one didn't help after we'd danced across the steps. We were able to touch it, but with no TOTT to help with the removal, we had to leave it for another day.
Thanks anyway TeamRobbie
