After a morning appointment I found myself with time to grab this multi. Not one to miss an opportunity I found the info required and after a short walk had the cache in hand and the log signed. Not sure it is exactly where the CO placed it anymore as the hide now seems to be a receptacle for cigarette butts! I put it back where I found it, tho it might need checking. TFTC
17:04Well, we knocked off an hour early today, so I took advantage of the freedom to take another trip to Croydon and have a nice walk in the park. And neatly fill in a hole in the calendar. Thanks, BernieH. Yesterday a mural (muriel?), today a mosaic. Tomorrow? I might give it a rest. The cache location is currently a little unpleasant, as someone appears to have used it as an ashtray. Ick.#9285
Enjoying the sun and the park. My husband is now band from counting things. Tftc
I had some time to devote to caching in Croydon while The_EVIL _MUGGLE spent some time at the nearby Croydon Camera House. The caches at the railway station were inaccessible or way too difficult to access, especially with the crowds of workers milling around the location. I gave up there and walked to the Park. The small mosaic is a beautiful and ornate work of art and I was able to work out the required numbers quickly. My trouble was transferring them into the coordinates. My initial calculations didnt add up and I couldnt see where Id gone wrong. I rang the CO for confirmation. He kindly tolerated my stupidity, or was it just visual problems (Im due for cataract surgery soon) ? Eventually, after two attempts, I got the right coordinates and walked to first one then a second lot of coordinates. Even there I had trouble finding what I was looking for. Lesson to myself. If at first you dont succeed try again. Three possibilities whittled down to one right one! Boy was I glad to find this one. It filled my time in Croydon perfectly and successfully! Thanks BernieH!
Another interesting multi in a very quiet area this early morning. Thanks for the cache.
A Friday afternoon sojourn around Croydon with +Wife and EveTheStaffy. This was our first multicache find for the day.I still remember the amazement that I felt when I found a cache here the Fourth of July 2013.It was my fifth find.A micro in a snail.Thank you for taking me back BernieH.
Sorted it out and had to wait for some muggles. Picked the wrong spot at first . Once the GPS settled tried another likely spot and all good then.THanks BernieH
I enjoyed this multi- quick and easy to complete. It took me to a lovely park for a short stroll. Needed a cache for my current project to complete my calendar, chose this one. Cache found a few metres away from where my gps indicated it should be. TFTC
Out for the day with ConnieandRick enjoying a stroll around this reserve, finding caches including this one as we go. After some straightforward calculations, we later returned to find this cache. I was surprised to find this cache out in the open.
Out with TIZ13, this area made for a nice walk at the end of our caching day. This multi was quick, as was the find.
This was my first multi it was fun even if I was questioning my counting skills. Nice hide. Nice container.
A nice easy to follow multi. Thank you BernieH for placing and maintaining Mosaic for us to find today.
I had previously solved this, but ran out of time to search as my food order was ready and I didn’t think the family would be happy eating cold Mexican. So I decided to leave it for another day. That day was today.
One multi left to go and then this lovely park will be full of smileys. Thanks BernieH for creating and maintaining the caches around Croydon.

On a beautiful autumn day, my geoboy has an appt nearby, so I set off to do some multi caches. I am trying to tick off a few challenges in Dunsborough, WA for the June/July holidays. I needed to do 20 more Multi caches. Now 18 as I have done the other one at this oval.
The cache WP1 instructions were clear. Checksums are great and I ticked it off. At GZ had 3 to choose from. Eventually, I found it. I am surprised to be able to do two Multis in less than 1 hr.
Thanks for the cache.

We passed this nice mosaic on our way to another cache in this park then noticed this was a multi. So we did the maths and was soon on our way to GZ.
Great coordinates here and we soon had ourselves a cache.
All is nice and dry in the ziplock bag.
That’s a nice little multi.
Thank you.

Grub62 and I were over this way for an appointment and with some time on our hands so of course we filled it up with some Geocaching. After we arrived at the first way point Grub62 started getting the figures with a little bit of help from me. After that we had a pleasant walk to GZ where I wandered around until Grub62 found the cache. I did help a little by wandering back to our Geocaching transport vehicle to get a new dry logbook and zip lock bag. Gee Geocaching is much easier when you go with others!!! TFTC.
Bunadoorian and I were over this way for a medical appointment this morning. we had some time up our sleeves so we decided to come and finish finding the caches in this park. We gained the information and I did the maths! OH do we walk back past the fitness group or should we go for a longer walk. Longer walk and we will try and pick up a cache we couldn't get back in November. Once we arrived at GZ we quickly had the cache in hand. I sat and signed the log book while Bunadoorian went back to the car to get another logbook and plastic bag to put it in. It was swimming carnival day for a secondary school as the students were all dressed up in their house colours nearby. TFTC and for bringing us back here BernieH.
With some errands to run in Croydon this morning, there was a great opportunity to grab some BernieH caches during our outing. After completing the ‘Croydon Park’ multi we came across to this cute little mosaic. The numbers were calculated and we headed across to find the cache.
Cache maintenance status: The log book is really damp. It can still be signed but it is quite torn up and really needs a snap lock. Unfortunately we didn’t have one with us.
Thanks for the cache BernieH

Finally doing some caching with day1976, the last lot of caching for the year. As I only had an afternoon free, we kept the caching fairly local to my area.
Found hiding under a stubbie.

This cache was found on an enjoyable day caching with ilukaperi. It would be our last caching day for 2022. Hope to have many more in 2023. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. Sorry for the generic log.
All good to go, now come and find it!

over from the UK to attend the mega and gps maze
staying at the Dorset Hotel for 8 days, so had plenty of walking in the area to pass the time
how good is geocaching to get you out and about
the weather not the best, as a few days we had floods
thanks for the cache

While waiting for my food order, found one cache nearby, and decide to look for another one. A quick and nice multi here. Thanks BernieH for the cache.
After putting off the multis for a while me and a mate decided to have a crack, very fun, the log may need to be replaced or dried off as it is quite damp, tftc!
This was a really enjoyable multi. Quick answers that lead to a quick find not too far away! Thanks BernieH!
I have to say, if you want a Masterclass in setting up a multi-cache, you could do a lot worse than a BernieH cache!
1) Spot on posted coords led straight to a very clear (and interesting) location.
2) Counting tasks were unambiguous, well-described and not onerous.
3) GZ was a short and pleasant walk away.
4) GZ coords were again spot on.
5) Despite a potentially tricky location, cache was easily found.
6) Container was watertight (and not a bison ), log was in excellent condition, and a dessicant pack was thoughtfully included.
I did feel somewhat disappointed that the sunshine advertised at the posted coords was nowhere to be found. I guess the muggle-repellent falling from the sky was a mixed blessing, in that I could go about my business in peace and quiet!

Nice day for a multi cache. Co-ordinants bounced around a little bit but got there in the end.

Found with PapaGrouch. After buying some lunch we looked for somewhere to stop and eat, this park was chosen. Once we were heading here I realised there were some caches to find which made it even better. Our last one for this area, another where you have to be very careful when collecting your information, easy to miss things. After the second lot of calculations we had it correct, then strolled along and made the find in the third place we looked. Our devices were being a bit temperamental and had us searching in the wrong area to start with. TFTC
Picking these local ones off gradually. This time in the area for another geolocation game event so collected the clues then returned the way I came for an easy find. Thanks.
Already calculated the coordinates a while back, but there were too many muggles around at that time. It was nice and quiet here now so I spotted it very easily! Tftc!
The plan for the afternoon was find a few caches including a "non Trad" cache for ** The Non-Traditional Calendar Challenge ** which I have now nearly qualified for and end up at the **Pi Approximation Day** event in Mooroolbark... and with the "non Trad" find taken care of, it was now time to spend the rest of the afternoon chasing down a nice grouping of caches on either side of Mt Dandenong Rd.
My first attempt at this multi was thwarted by a couple of muggles were sitting right on top of the mosaic so I detoured over to **Croydon Memorial Pool** first. On my return I found that the muggles had moved on so I was able to collect the answers and calculate GZ. I don't think it is giving too much away to say that *Murphy's Law* kicked in and I found myself retracing my steps in the general direction of my previous find... *such is life!*
Thanks **BernieH** for another cache in Croydon.

Lovely weather for me out for the day. Enjoyed this multi. Thanks BernieH for placing this cache
Thanks Bernie my first coordinated find. Once I figured out what I was doing it was fun. TFTC.
Not too many people in the park today so I had time to admire the mosaic and continue onto the final location to collect the cache which was nicely hidden and in good condition. Thanks again BernieH for another cache
Got the coords right the first time, then a short walk to gz - picking two before the right one , then a quick find. tftc
As I slowly fill in my multi calendar and thus increase the distance to each multi, the eastern suburbs now beckon. They aren't quite as far as the Manfred series but remain easier to access then Eltham.
All of the above was a long-winded way of saying I arrived in your little slice of paradise, B, found the required information and had a short walk to the cache. I'll be back tomorrow for another of the three.

Loved the mosaic, something I would have missed if not for this multi. Thanks for placing the cache BernieH.
Another nice little quick and easy multi…. The way we like them!

This is a beautiful mosaic. An excellent way to recycle old tiles. I counted the necessary objects in the mosaic and calculated a plausible GZ. The cache was found in the expected location.
I wanted to visit the European grocery store in Croydon and decided it was a good opportunity to claim a few caches in the area.
The number for the location of the cache were soon found.

Not a lot of spare time today, so a quick find on the way home was in order. The first of many relatively new placements in my area.
Did all the calcs at posted coords, headed to gz where my GPSr couldn’t decide between 3 possibilities. Read the hint. Nearly bailed
Persisted and found the cache, sans crawlies.

It was a lovely morning to be out caching today. I joined with Redcb for some enjoyable hunting. After gathering the information required, we calculated the coords for GZ, and took a short walk. The cache was soon located and the log signed.
Thanks BernieH, you've certainly got this park covered with geocaches.

A fun introduction to a great piece of art that I hadn't previously noticed. Tftc.
We were in the park plus others waiting for our car to be serviced. Another great case and a great walk around.
With the holidays winding up I convinced Mrs frilk that we really should take the geo-hound for a walk around this area...and grab a few caches on the way.
We parked up nearby and made our way to WP1 and soon had the requisite info in hand. A walk to the GZ and a quick find meant that we were soon on our way again. TFTC.

Out on an evening hike with Trailstevo. Just sneaking in another 11km to make sure I can continue to work my way through the remaining naughty Christmas food! Thanks for the adventure and hide.
Evening walk with Gunks to clean up some of the Croydon area. 11km in total and some hills. Couldn't find it at first and used the checksum, then widened the search area a little to come up with the goods. TFTC
Found at 5:06 pm.
With good weather again Fleabag- and I decided to have another BernieH evening on the scooters, much easier than finding car parks and driving around. Fleabag- has nearly reached 2021 caches for 2021 so I was happy to help him out to encourage him to remain dedicated enough to catch me one day.
A very short jump from the final of the last one, had a small debate over one answer but the checksums cleared that up and a short scooter ride later we were signing the log in the same place I am sure I have found a cache before many years ago.
Thanks BernieH for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Spiffy- and I along with geokids and partner came out this way a couple of days back. We made a dent in these new cache hides and so decided tonight on scooters minus geokid and partner we would continue the fun. Plus I needed only another 23 caches to bring my 2021 tally to 2021...
Always a satisfying feeling when the check sums work. Spiffy had this one in hand quickly.

Another straight forward multi. The cache took awhile to find. Helps if you target the right tree to search.

A plethora of choice and wobbly GPS had us looking for a bit, but was straightforward. Tftc! (The crackling branch sounds in the wind are disconcerting though!)
Wandering past the pool, a plethora of trees to choose from, a very nice mosaic to admire. (I've performed at that festival!)

Out and about with a echidna44 exploring this really lovely park with the big shady trees. Picked up the nice easy clues. Headed off after doing the auto check. Love the auto check. Nice easy find and enjoy the walk around this park under the variety of trees. Thanks for the cache BH and congrats.
After a big afternoon caching down south i stopped in for a very late dinner on the journey home. Wow, nearly midnight, it’s definitely time to get home. The clock ticked past midnight not long after the journey began, so why not one more cache to round out the evening and conveniently fill a multi grid spot with a far away cache.
I pulled into the well lit carpark and made my way to the mosaic. I thought it was just a manhole in the dark and almost walked past it, but once I shone some light on it it’s colours glowed. Wow there are lots of eyes here … if pays to read ALL of the instruction first. With the counts completed and the checksum happy it was a short trip to the final where the cache was found quickly, sans spiders or anything else fortunately. The log signed and it was back to the car to finally head home.
I noticed there were very few cars in the Toyota used car lot nearby. I guess it’s a sign of the Covid times and the crunch on the car market!
Thanks BernieH for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

We can certainly remember this one. It was pouring rain and we needed a multi to fill a gap for a challenge. This one was nice and close and we had decided to leave these new close ones for a rainy day, wow did today qualify for that. We were even maybe lucky that it was raining so hard as the birds had hidden some of the details that we needed. It was only with thanks to the check sum that we realised that we had made an error. On rechecking our answers, we noticed that the flower was blooming, lol. We made the find nice and quickly and went straight home to warm up and get some dry clothes. Thanks for the cache.
We had a good laugh when doing this cache. We needed a cache for today but it was absolutely pouring rain. When it eased off a little, we bolted for Croydon. It was great to have some caches close to home again without having to be half mountain goat. We did the counting and worried that we had done it too quickly as the check sum didn't work. We have to thank the rain as the birds had obscured part of one of the answers. Very pleased to make a quick find so that we can get home and get out of the wet clothes. Thanks for placing these nice close caches and a special thanks for including the check sum. Most appreciated.
A quick calc and off to GZ where it was a big quieter in the park

I really am pretty hopeless at my chosen hobby! I got the info, confirmed my answers via the checksum but couldn't find the cache. Back to the mosaic, another go at the checksum - same answer . . . but, doh, had transposed two numbers in plugging in the GZ coords so was searching slightly the wrong area. Once I'd made the correction, it was a really quick find!
We certainly did these in the right order with the start of this one close by. Answers found and co-ords calculated and off to GZ. My phone rang on the way to GZ so I didn't really participate in the hunting for this one. We then moved our cars to find the next group of caches.
The date this one was hidden was the date we got the 2nd vaccine!!!

Second multi & third cache for the day in this nice cluster, we headed to find the mosiac which turned out to be smaller than I had expected. Information gathered, checksums made we headed off to GZ where (for a change) my GPS was spot on and took me to a different place than G&J of GJMMelb (only a few metres away mind you) and the cache was spotted and quickly logged. We headed back to our cars to head to a convenient parking area for the next cluster of caches nearby.
Having completed the Croydon Park multi we found the nearby mosaic and collected the required data to determine GZ for the cache. Fortunately we did not have to back track and that the direction would take us back to our car. A short search at GZ located the cache. We signed the log and replaced. Thanks to BernieH for the cache and our visit to Croydon Park.
Out and about after the most recent publications, and decided to find a few more from the last couple of weeks.
A stroll to the mosaic, collected some numbers (thanks for the checksum),
and then a stroll back towards the car.
A quite well camoed container with few muggles about today.

Feeling as though our Multi curse had been temporarily lifted we came here to discover the nifty WP1. Geobabe did the hard work and we soon had the cache in hand. I'm sure the people watching the cricket were very confused to see us pointing our car away from the action. Ha.

I found this cache today on my Wednesday Morning Croydon Cache Caper - The Sequel. A nice little mosaic although I was almost at it before I spotted it. Our 5th find in this park and 2nd that was in almost the same spot after finding "Snail" near here a few years back and also our 187th 3TF. Thanks from D B-A
Today was full of firsts for me, beginning with meeting my first geochachers out in the wild! I met a quarter of team pnja at a nearby cache, where I juuuust snuck in the FTF. Thankfully they'd just found a FTF on another nearby BernieH cache so I didn't feel so bad. We had a great chat and the geopups loved all the attention!
After signing that logbook I decided to come and attempt this Multi as the dogs were desperate for a longer walk (which they well deserved considering the 25 minute drive we'd just had). I arrived at stage one to find that we had the same idea and another quarter of team pnja was there now too!
We worked out the answers together and had a lovely chat on the way to GZ. A quick hunt around and we soon had the logbook in hand, it was blank! Hooray! Another [FTF] for both of us!
Considering this was my first BernieH FTF they graciously gave me the pathtag from both this cache and the other nearby. My first pathtags! So many exciting firsts!
After chatting for a bit longer, talking all things geocaching, pnja gave me some helpful hints about where to walk the dogs nearby. So I finally gave the geohounds the long walk I had promised them, turns out there are some really nice tracks around this park and nearby!
Thanks for the cache and adventure!

Joint FTF with alissahgrace and the geopuppers. After watching N's location move around on the map going for the other two newly published caches, and getting the message that she had just missed out on the second one, the clock hit 5pm and P felt okay with clocking off from WFH and joining the hunt.
We knew well where to meet/park - the cafe's overlooking the initial waypoint used to be the "Jewels" supermarket - where we worked together and hence first met - awwww!!! Anyway...
Alissahgrace did the heaving lifting on the decoding - while P was counting everything that could possibly be considered an eye. Thankfully N had a pen and paper and could help Alissah while the geopups made their desire for walkies known.
The apartments here used to be a catholic church and primary school... how times change.
