Another successful day in Auckland with KGD & EyespybenThis one was a nice quick find before the rain thanks
Up in Auckland for a day with ABCDF4 and eyespyben. Quickly found by ABCDF. Signed and put it back. Thank you for the placement.
My first geocache! It was a fun little adventure for the afternoon. Might want to replace the log.
Removed the paper mache that was pretending to be a logbook, and left a small piece of paper instead TFTC
had to leave and come back later, damm muggles near GZ, but easily found
Had to wait for some school children to leave as they were congregating right at GZ, but after a minute they were off and we could go over to make a quick find here. TFTC!!!
Very nice all round good spot. Was a little tricky as my first one but I enjoyed it
We are caching with Team Welsh this morning trying to boost our Found numbers for this date. The Parks & Recreation series that neither of us had done previously was a big factor in bringing us to Howick. We arrived at GZ and had an almost instantaneous find. TFTC.
Kiwicouple and I were out this way as it was cache rich for both of us. We targeted the ones that had recent finds as some of them appear to be missing and we didn't want to spend too long hunting for something that was no longer here. Mixed success but this was one we managed to find. This was prob the quickest find of the day, TFTC
Start of Tag season and friend roped me in. First question was where is it? Very happy to see a cache here to quench my need too
We looked fairly carefully, but there was a game transpiring nearby, so off wee went without the find.
Local one. Greeted at the park entrance by a large dog emptying its bowels, then the owner sheepishly tidying up and moving on. A little activity on the field, people arriving for practice. All good at GZ, got the job done, much like the dog, but with a pen instead of a squat and doggie bag. Left with a satisfying feeling, much like the dog. TFTC
Not the easiest one to spot. I passed it, not there. I passed it again. There it is...

Had plans to meet up with a group of cachers to kayak across to Brown's Island from Bucklands Beach. Well, this plan was scarpered the night before as strong winds were forecast for the next day. A couple of us still decided to meet at 6am and go caching in the area. First, Gorby, tramyard and I went for breakfast in Howick and made a plan to target this Parks & Recreation series in the area.
Wasn't sure about parking here so we ended up walking through the cemetery and soon found the cache once our GPS had settled.

Fund it with company of Aiden29 and Gorby. The plan was to paddle Browns Island but the wind was too strong so we ended up in Howick to grab some hides instead.
Thanks for the placement.
P.S. Ready the Gorby`s story to find out more

A group of us were supposed to be heading over to Brown’s Island at 6am in our kayaks, Georick, tramyard, Aiden29, Jard1037, Rebel98, rustynz and myself. But the weather was terrible and the winds were hovering around 28km/hr. No way was this going to happen.
Nevertheless I still went to near top end of Buckland’s beach at 6am, Aiden was right behind me and tramyard was already there. But still it was a no go, too choppy. So we stood around and yakked and decided to head over to Eastern beach and pick up a WP for Life’s a Beach – NZ Mega ad lab. Then we would head into Howick to a fav café of mine that makes excellent omelettes. A good plan. While there at the café we decided on doing this C.O’s series of caches.
For some reason, we didn't park close enough to the cache, instead we walked thru the cemetery, over the other side, our mobiles seemed to have trouble settling in on this one, but once we read the hint, it became quite obvious.

2nd DNF at this one, were hoping for a quick find but it to be again. I blame Phil.
Walking past this today so stopped in to grab it. Still took me a while. Nice to turn the DNF into a Found. TFTC
Thankfully this was a bit away from the rugby field where some training was going on. Was fairly quick to spot once I got near. Thanks!
Was bored, so contacted my buddies Liverkiwi and we went out for the afternoon and did some caching. Was a quick and easy find.
Beware of the Hornets here M12 said it was lucky he has a SJ side step and got through without getting tackled.

I played softball in this park in my younger days so another park familiar to me. Nette spied this hide for us
PArked near the main entrance but turned out it was easier to walk around the corner and enter the paparoa park litten road entrance. found quickly. TFTC!
Heading out on a girls caching day with Supernannny, Merlot58 and Nette1234 during COVID-19 lockdown level 3.2. There was a family of muggles on the seat near the entrance to this park, but this did not stop us finding our way to gz where the cache was soon in hand. Walked back through the cemetery to the car taking time to read some of the gravestones on the way. TFTC
After visiting a family member in the cemetery we headed through the gap in the fence and were startled by a guy who came from nowhere doing the same thing from the other direction.
We spotted the decoy item mentioned in a previous log so ignored that and soon found the actual cache.
Only one more left to find in this series .

The original pot had gone and I have now replaced it with a black bison. Sorry to the caches that have tried to find this. All good now
