Hi there geocaching_mackay, we found your cache 25th Battalion (Australia) at 11:39 today. This is day two of our Nebo power trail" experience. Were caching with Rainforest Cookie and Ratdog. Just like yesterday, our aim is to find as many of the Military" series as we can before we head out on our separate ways. To save space weve just written our initials in the logs. Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking. Cache Condition: Good. Regards Ian & Penny (Found and logged using Cachly).
A drive down to Moranbah with DiMorgan grabbing the caches as we go. A windy day and slowly warming up as we go. Thanks for the effort for placing.
Thanks to geocaching_mackay for their hard work in making this trail . We are finding the cache are in safe spots to pullover and go surching. Cache was easily spotted. Tftc
We are currently staying at Mackay and today we returned to the trail to find more in this series.
Some were quick finds; others took longer to reveal themselves. We added ziplock bags, new log sheets to those that needed it and replaced a couple that were gone due to roadside fires.
A 11hr day by the time we returned to Mackay.
Our thanks to geocaching_mackay for creating, researching and placing this series. We appreciate the time and effort that it must have taken to do so.

Pulling up halfway along the truck stop lane we look out at an area that has recently been burnt out.
With only one tree as a target and nothing else around except a table drain which is well away from GZ, we quickly decide after a search that the fire has got the cache.
Pulling a new Systema container out I fill out the cache details onto a piece of my water proof paper, stick it inside a zip bag and put the whole shebang behind the tree with a rock on it.
I also throw a little camo over it and hope no more fires for a while....
As a War history buff, I appreciate the effort that has gone into keeping the memory of those times and people alive.

Coongoola & Geodog are on an adventure after attending the Townsville Mega event in Qld. We found your cache today 3 May 2022 12:26 pm , while enjoying another day out adding to our tally. TFTC geocaching_mackay
Elpinstone to Nebo. Having a 3 night stay to resume our Military Series. We enjoyed reading the history of the various armed services as we went along.
We plan to base our selves here & head out to the various locations in the area.We have covered quite a large region in the area. Todays trip was visiting Moranbah area & a few more caches nearer Nebo.
This is a great tribute series to all that have served our country.
Thankyou geocaching_mackay for placing this cache.
Day 6 of the road trip to Townsville to with LuckyL10n and today it was all about driving from Emerald to Nebo and grabbing caches along the way and then hitting up some of the military units series.
It was slow going at first (and this was expected) as we made our way along the busier highway, however once we hit Nebo and the surrounding areas, the finds were coming thick and fast. We had no issues with any of the caches...after our first one...and all went well as we cruised around finding and signing caches. Good to see the fly boys get a mention as I've been in a few of those units over time.
Many thanks geocaching mackay for the series and the reason to head to Townsville a different way. Hopefully we'll finish what we think is the first half of the series tomorrow, before hitting the rest on our trip home after the mega.
Most logs were signed SdL / L Lion.

#13711 - 11:09:00 AM; Day six of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune and after spending a couple of nights in Emerald, we are now headed further north collecting a couple of caches along the way, as we make our way towards the Armed Services series around Nebo. As we made our way around the series, all caches were found in good order unless noted in the log and each has been signed L.L10n & Sdl or vice versa. Apologies for the largely generic logs [:o)] TFTC geocaching_mackay
On the hunting trail with SeasonedBird, Liz & Bruce on route to Townsville via the the longer caching route of course. Another great day for caching. TFTC geocaching_mackay

Travelling to Townsville with Wollaston and SeasonedBird. A good series to earn smiley's and learn about Australia's military history. Thanks geocaching Mackay. Not so easy finding them in the dark.

Micaparamedic, Team Crackers, Geoturtle37 and myself decided to tackle this series and see how many we could find. As much as I enjoy searching for caches and the places they take us, the amount of interesting information supplied with these caches was outstanding and well worth reading.
Please excuse the generic logs but know that we appreciate all the time, effort and money that has gone into placing this series and now maintaining it for us to enjoy.
Thank you for everything that has gone into this series.

We started this trail today with micaparamedic, geoturtle37 and Papi4506 wondering how many we would be able to get before the sun went down. Of course we didn't go any other caches as we made our way.
We would have to say that we would recommend this cache series to anybody even if you don't go out to look for the caches but the information on the cache pages is absolutely fantastic and well worth a sit down and read.
We had a great run today with no Dnf's, a couple of damp logs. Our only trouble was the really long grass that at times was well over our heads.
We apologise for the generic logs but isn't meant to take away from all the effort that has gone into the cache pages as well as the hides. When you do this many caches in a short time you lose track of each individual hide.
Many thanks for placing these for us to find.
Found by Mary and David at 09:50 on a drive from Moranbah to Sarina. Took us a while here. Our thanks to geocaching_mackay.
We were on the road again today heading further north with ilook4geo. It was a hot day and the caching happened at a bit slower pace. The log was signed at each cache we found and was then replaced as it had been found. We were lucky to find this one as it had been totally buried deep in leaf litter. Thanks go to geocaching_mackay for placing these caches along the highways.
On the move again today with goingplaces2. Found this cache along the way. Cache retrieved, log signed and replaced. Job done! TFTC.
31/10/21 Out for a daytrip with Learner driver daughter and grabbing some caches. TFTC SL
I met up with Konie again this morning to continue working on this power trail. Next, we came to this cache. A quick find was made and the log signed. TFTC
Heading west from Nebo to Clermont today and picked up the rest of the Military series and other caches along the way.
A great day out with 16 FTF's and only 1 DNF.
Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches for me and others to enjoy.
