I was in the area doing some maintenance on my own geocaches, so I thought Id grab this one. I parked in a nearby street, and as I walked through the passage, two yappy dogs came running at my heels, dragging their leads. I stepped on the leads to stop the dogs running away, picked up the leads, and looked around for an owner. A little old lady came through the back gate of the retirement village in her motored scooter. I said that I wasnt sure if theyd gotten away or been let go on purpose. She said that she cant open the gate and hold onto them at the same time, and that the dogs usually come back to her. We talked briefly about what a lovely day it is for a walk, then I grabbed the cache. Thanks, BernieH! I think Ive just met one of your neighbours
*Found on the 4 Aug 2024 @ 1:52PM.**Cache find # 15702.* Today I headed over this way to tackle a few of the new Ringwood Ramble series of caches.I had got to the end of the Ramble caches in this direction but there were a few other caches which I had not found yet so I continued further along the trail to have a look for this one.I had stopped at this one a bit earlier but there was a constant flow of muggles so I continued on to the next, I was now on the return run so I made another stop and this time the coast was clear, I was able to make a quick find, signed the log and continued on my way.**Thanks to BernieH for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**
Found while walking the dogs. Notebook was a little damp but was still able to write in it. Thanks for the cache!

A bit tricky wading through to this one! Our second family geocache adventure.
Its hard to miss if you go to the right post youll see it straight away. TFTC
This one was a bit harder than we expected but with the help of a mate from FisherFamFive we ended up finding it TFTC:(
Out and about with my good mate AdamWickenton on a sunny Saturday morning, making the most of having the bye for footy this week. Parked close to nearby [Maggs Trees](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9GBDY_maggs-trees) so that Adam could collect that find, and then made our way over to this one and then further to [Source of the Mullum Mullum](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9GBE0_source-of-the-mullum-mullum). Once at GZ, we waited for some walkers to pass to find the perfect moment to swoop in for this cache. Once that moment arose, it was a nice quick find. Tftc BernieH
Quite the wade through the grass. Ended up jumping a locked gate to get around the other side, not ideal. Logbook is soaked, seal on the bottle is broken.
What a beautiful day! It would have been churlish not to get out and about geocaching so mrs frilk and I grabbed the geo-pooch and came to the area.No luck this time. Next time...
How difficult should this one have been... there seemed to be only one logical place for the cache but I couldn't find anything there. Even checked out nearby alternatives without success. Oh well, another day maybe...
Me, my brother and dad couldn’t find it at first but just as we were about to leave,we found it behind the post. Good hiding spot Bernie
After waiting for a few walkers to pass, I dived in and extracted the cache. Nice seat nearby to sign the log, which was very wet. Cool container, and a bit surprised how the water gets in.
Good find, don't think it was exactly where it should have been but returned it to its original position.

Woah what a week… what a month…. Finally made it to Friday and now school holidays for the kids. With Master eleven aka geoninja finishing school an hour than normal, I picked him up and had an hour to kill before we returned to pick up miss thirteen aka Ge0Bug… so what to do… what to do… we’ll get a BernieH cache of course.
This was the perfect one for today, although the nearby sword grass got a little excited and I scored some cuts. And despite the awesome and apparent solid container, the log book is damp, but not enough that I couldn’t sign my name. Thanks for the cache!

Quick find today. Only passed one group of dog walkers, so muggle free for our find. Managed to sign log but very damp. Thanks BernieH
Pleased to make a quick find here as I have so much to get done. Thanks for another cache close to home.
Today I had the morning free and thought it was a nice day to go geocaching. Today the plan was to collect a number of geocaches that I needed a challenge, the one where you need 20 geocaches in each Victorian LGA. Turns out I've only ever found 5 geocaches in the Maroondah LGA, so time to fix that.
Very busy path at 11 am on a Sunday morning. Glad there was a seat here as I had to take a seat and wait out a number of people. Pleased it was a quick find when the area was free.
Thanks for the cache Bernie H

Really fun find! It took my a little while to find it but I eventually did, the stuff inside was a bit moist, probably from the climate though, overall super fun!
The log book was pretty damp and moldy kind of hard to write on also the pen is running out of ink
Found it after much looking. It was not behind the ‘pole’, just tossed onto shrubs. We moved it back to be more consistent with clue.
Beautiful area, never been up here before, will be back. Perfect weather for a quick little find. Log a little damp otherwise found safe and sound. TFTC
After spending way too much time locating our previous find, RedCb and I enjoyed a walk along the trail, and made a quick find. With the log signed, and stowed away again, we headed off along the trail again.
Thanks BernieH.
Thanks BernieH.
Continuing our nice afternoon walk Crustyvarmit, Pilot and I found this one relatively quickly. A nice one to finish an enjoyable afternoon. Thanks BernieH
Server crashed at work, so we were sent home. Stopped here for a quick find on the way.
Thanks for bringing me here today by placing this cache, BernieH

I had 30mins to kill after dropping wife and x2 kids to prepare for their school concert with my eldest one of the stars of the show - super proud of him and can’t wait. A quick find - locating where to park the car and access the bike track to longer! tftc
#1337 - Last cache of the day today on a part of the Mullum Mullum trail that I hadn't;'t been to before. Loved the cache container!

Out for a walk on this lovely sunny winters day and to pick up a couple of caches. The area was deserted and it was Mrs Pooky who made the find with the help of the hint. Whilst we were signing the log Muggles came from everywhere, dog walkers, walkers, and cyclists so we sat down on a conveniently placed seat nearby and waited till everyone had passed and the area was once again deserted before returning the cache to its hiding spot. TFTC and bringing us to this walking track to show us more of the area. TNLN.
A nice autumn day. Perfect weather to get out and find some caches . A pleasant walk along the mullum mullum Trail. Found this one quickly . Thanks BernieH
Thanks for the hide. Once we had the cache in hand we were able to sit on the bench and pretend it was our thermos while we logged the find.
Thanks BernieH for the cache and marketing lesson relating to Croydon's history. Giddy up
I met a lovely elderly gentleman enjoying the lovely weather on the way to GZ ..after a chat I made my way to GZ and made a quick find. Thanks BernieH for placing the cache
I had an errand to run in Templestowe today, and had time to find a few caches on the way towards home.
A quick wander along from the Mullum Mullum source to this hide, located where the name suggests.
A very substantial container, this one.

Found, signed and returned while icw shielded me from the gaze of two distant muggles. Tftc.
A beautiful walk along the creek and a nice quick find.
Cache is in perfect shape and logbook is nice and dry. TFTC

Nice spot with somewhere to sit close by. That’s always a bonus to log comfortably! TFTC!
My mission is to find all of the new BernieH caches, as my caching chums have found them all. I am lagging behind somewhat and this needs to be rectified. This is another I can tick off.
Beautiful weather this morning and the caches were calling. It was high time I made a start on all these wonderful BernieH hides - and this was the second.
This was really nice. Really nice container, great placement, handy bench and another nice history snippet. Can’t imagine a market here only 10 years ago. Great research you old timer local you!

A few walkers and cyclists on the nearby path so a little care was required. Lyn spotted the container reasonably quickly and we were able to sign the log. A short wait for the path to clear and we could replace the cache. Thanks to BernieH for the cache.
Logged with original account BlackOpal2005. We've now decided we need our own accounts so I'm playing catchup.
On another BernieH run today with quiet1_au, making the most of the cooler weather today and the fact that I am NOT an Educational Contact this week (after 2 weeks in a row!!) It was fantastic to be out in the fresh air!! We had to skip this one on the way to Maggs as people were sitting on the nearby seat. On the way back all was clear and JMelb made the find
TFTC BernieH and for all the caches of yours we found today giving us much needed fresh cool air and exercise. Glad you made such great use of your lockdown walks!! We had intentions and not many have come to fruition yet! lol - GJMMelb

Oops, forgot to log this one. Whilst Cygnus3333 had her hair done I decided to go for a walk to try to get a few caches. This was the first and and easy one at that without muggles near GZ to deal with. The next was a DNF (since found with GJMMelb) and a rapid march back to the car as I took far longer than expected - so a did not attempt on the third cache target... Oh well! TFTC
