Made this find on an early morning cycle north. Did the work on a previous cycle this way, and CO confirmed my thoughts at an event last year. Made for a swift grab today. Beautiful camo. Wouldve loved to see and ride the extensive Sydney tram network back in the day. Thanks for sharing this location DiscoBob3 #2470

Only time for a quick look. Hoped for a quick find. Disappointed. (checked what ..to me was the obvious)

Im visiting from Brisbane for a few days while my husband is working here. Ive been wanting to visit Cammeray and this bridge to do some geocaching and today I had the opportunity. I managed to find the information this morning before visiting the bridge, so after finding the traditional on the bridge, I headed to gz.I spent about 5 minutes looking in a number of places, then I noticed something a little different, and there it was - very sneaky. Luckily I had my tott with me so could get the logsheet out which was signed and replaced as found. Definitely worth a fp. Tftc

Finally got a chance to find this one after solving it months ago. Nice hide ! (A pair of tweezers would have come in handy - but persistence paid off)TFTCM

After work and needing a multi so came home this way. Some interesting history and to now think we want to build rail to some of these areas that once had a tram. The information was soon collected and the checker agreed first up. you just have to read carefully. Over to GZ and nothing obvious. A check on the size and then something made sense. A little hard to extract but we got there and completed the signign duties. TFTC

We drive past here all the time but today Mrs Gaztek stopped on a chilly winter morning. Seem to recall another similar multi around here not all that long ago. Worked out what was required although one question was a little tricky. At GZ, at first it seemed nothing was there but suddenly there it was. Good hide! SL TFTC Cheers… Gaztek

Visited WP1, and collected the information. Did the calculations and got a plausible location for GZ, to where we then went. Not having noted that there was a Geo Checker available, we finally realised we were in the wrong spot. Re-did the calculations (one of the clues were a bit dubious), and returned to the proper GZ. Alas, having searched and searched there for a while, we had to give up, at least for this time,

Got the coordinates but couldn’t find the cache

Today we head across the Roseville Bridge, visiting the suburbs of Castle Cove, Castlecrag, Northbridge, and Cammeray, with the intention of clearing all of the caches & Adventure Lab stages we hadn't yet found in the area. Managed to clear six, but sadly were unable to locate another two, resulting in a couple of DNFs. This was the 5th of 6 finds, plus 2 DNFs, for today.

After suffering two DNFs in a row we really hoped that our luck was going to change with this one, and thankfully it did.

Parked the geomobile on The Boulevarde and then walked up to WP1, gathered the required information, did the computations, then headed off to final GZ for a nice quick find. Signed the log sheet and then replaced as found. Seen many of these types of hide over the years, but this one is very nicely engineered and blends in really well here.

It was nice that they retained the old sandstone support towers & light pillars from the original bridge, when they built this more modern replacement, making it so much more appealing than it would have otherwise been. But it was sad we lost the huge Sydney tramway system, the largest in the Southern hemisphere at the time, and are only now starting to rebuild small parts of it with the Sydney Light Rail.

TFTC DiscoBob3, and you can have a Favourite point for the bridge, the history, and the well engineered cache container.

Got info and went back to GZ and spent ages looking at all the likely spots. Gave up and went for another cache on the bright she. Came back and noticed something that I had dismissed initially and thought that looks abit odd, so tugged at it and yes it was the cache

Nice little multi and quick find at GZ. Love this bridge TFTM

Parked close by and wandered the bridge collecting the relevant info, while marvelling at the architecture of this structure.
Later, Walked downstairs to collect the trad underneath a short time afterwards and “man” the height is obscene from down here.
Oh yeah, quickish find at GZ, thanks for the multi smiley

Replaced log with one with better paper. Right to go now

After getting the required info at the plaque, moved on to the hide. Found it quickly but was impressed by the great camo. Thanks, nice one

Log replaced. Though thought I had a waterproof, thicker log on me, but turned out it was in another bag. Just put normal paper in there for now. I'll replace when I'm back from a trip in a week or so. If someone happens to have one on them feel free to replace as not sure the paper will last long as very thin. Or I'll do as soon as I can.

Doing a spot of caching in this part of the world today while my snuggle muggle undergoes a medical procedure at RNHS. A nice hide here to finish off an interesting multi ... but note the logsheet is full and I had to overwrite an earlier log.

Thanks for this multi DiscoBob.

We passed this one up last time we visited the bridge, thinking a multi would take too long. Decided to do it today as we were in the area. The multi part was quick, but the actual find had us stumped for a while until we inspected something for the second time and realised that not all is as it seems! TFTC!

Caching with oldmorty this morning. Know this area very well, but didn’t know the history associated with the bridge. Always too busy to stop and look at what is before your eyes I suspect.
Thank you. Also loved the cache.
Thanks DiscoBob3 for putting this together.

I've always admired this old suspension bridge and I enjoyed reading the history surrounding it and loved the home made cache container. FP awarded.

TFTC from the Kayakviking!
One of my favourite bridges...a classic.
Solved a while back but had to take a walk to GZ. Sat and pondered and saw the odd man out.
Log is full. Cheers

I really like this type of historical cache with the old photos and the tram route map.
I noticed when the cache was published but did not look at it until last night.

So, for another project for 2022 I have already taken a photo of the very plaque required for this cache. You see this year is one of those _0 year anniversaries for my year at high school so I have been making a photo memorabilia sheet of all our old haunts. One of my closest friends lived in the street beside this bridge in fact within spitting distance of GZ.

So last night I looked at my photo, found the necessary info, checked with the checker and got the green light. So this morning I headed down to GZ. Not many of the houses look the same these days, in fact there was no guard rail along the street back then and you could see more down in the park below in those days too, not that I could really see anything with it raining this morning.

A couple of minutes surveying the location and I spotted something worth checking - very well disguised!

Favourite point, right up my alley!

An easy cache that was solved from the comfort of home and Internet.
Today I visited Cammeray with Eagle Eyed Monkey Girl and we needed a bit of time inspecting all the obvious hiding places before this cleverly disguised cache was found.

We had a vet appointment in Willoughby this morning which put us close to a couple of caches.

With the required info collected I soon had a confirmed GZ.

Sneaky hide and very well done.

On route to shopping for essentials before leaving the country, I stopped, read the plaque and returned to car to do the math. Wandered around and then went back up to leave empty handed when i noticed something new. Great use of this kind of container. TFTC!

Great place for a bit of history!! And a neat hide. Gotta give it a favourite point.

Thank you DiscoBob3...

Always enjoy these history caches. We had trams when I was very small but they were quickly removed for 60 years before making a reappearance. I'd grabbed a pic of the plaque on an earlier trip to do the numbers at home. Fudged them a couple of times before interpreting "sections" correctly to get the green tick. Thanks DiscoBob3.

*FTF* with Gatherer Hade and Baby J Man at 3:58pm

Tore down from the other new DiscoBob3 cache to a somewhat familiar WP1. Turning into The Boulevarde, we spotted Gatherer Hade finishing up at WP1.

Information obtained (and a bit of history -- despite walking this bridge many times I can't recall reading this plaque), we caught up with GH at GZ who had not yet uncovered the cache. Despite a fairly distinct GZ, this one took a little to spot... very nice work, gets a favourite from me Smile

All up 2 FTFs a couple of km apart within 18 minutes... not bad!

Cheers
