I visited GZ yesterday to discover that all the trees have been chopped down as part of a new housing subdivision, so this cache cannot be resurrected and must be archived. Thanks to all that visited it, and awarded it a FP - much appreciated.
I've been out of the country for a while, but will be visiting GZ to replace (if necessary) this cache within 2 weeks.
Visited GZ today after being contacted by a previous finder.Sure enough the container has been damaged (again), so I have removed it whilst I contemplate the future of this cache.
Sadly, the third damaged cache today. The lid failed. Probably UV exposure
Found while out solo-caching today Nice intricate hide Twig, I dont know what I was expecting but it wasnt that. FP from me tftc
Visited this cache today and discovered for myself the damage to the container.Container has now been removed for overnight repairs, and I hope to have this one back up and running again tomorrow.
Geohubby and grandson (JoggIn jnr) went in to find this one. Didn't take them long. Note: the handle is about to come off the cache, so needs repair. Nevertheless this is worth a Fav.Thanks for the cache and the fun in finding it.
Great cache, always appreciate the effort put into these.Port of the handle was damaged, I've done a quick bush fix with some tape.TFTC
**19,046**We didnt have our ladder on this trip so glad to have an alternative to these levitation ones that keep appearing down these ways. Cache a quick, easy find. TFTC
After attending the CO'S event in Levin today it seemed obvious to nab some of his other caches in the area. I love this one, and definitely deserves a FP from me! Thanks for the fun cache TwigNZ!
After the COs event today, some of us ended up here as it is very close to another of COs caches. There are a couple of ways to GZ, and I decided to take the easier option. That meant I arrived slightly after the others, so wasnt involved with extraction. I did put it back though. Clever cache!
Time for another caching adventure with NZ_B. A event in Levin to celebrate daylight savings seems like a reason to head out for the day. Having just visited an impressive tree climb down the road it was nice to get here and find this one. Luv it a easy FAV for the fun - thank you TwigNZ.
**taybee** is caching again with **taybee nz** for the dayQuick find here today All in good order, sign log book as **taybee** or **tb** or ( **TNZ** or **taybee/nz** as *taybee and taybee nz joint sign* ) TFTC Cache was found at **24/09/2023 @ 14:24:00**
A fun find with eldest son, he hasn't seen one of this type before and was quite impressed with the hide, I've seen similar before but this one was very well executed and the retrieval and return worked very smoothly. The cache hint refers to an item but we didn't see one in there (I thought it best to mention it in the log seeing as we were the first visitors after the recent maintenance)? TFTC
A bit daft that I have to clear a 'needs maintenance' log manually after I've re-enable the cache. Surely one implies the other...
I've been doing a lot of cache maintenance over the last couple of weeks, and this weekend I was able to get around to checking this one.
Sadly, someone has made a right hash of the whole thing and completely munted the mechanism.
So the cache has been physically removed whilst I fix it, and should be back up and running again in 2 week's time.

A very easy find given its current location. I suspect it was similar to one on a pole nearer to Levin, which was a clever setup.
Out on a Pre Christmas adventure with Hamish.D
2nd one for the day, Im guessing this was a bit easier to find than it should have been as we just found the cache lying on the ground, Directly opposite to what the hint suggests. Cool little find none the less. TFTC

Out today with [JordanD125](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=d447c422-3a9c-47f1-8ab9-9610b3913050) doing a bit of last minute Christmas shopping for geocache finds.
Cache #2 for today and after parking in the recommended spot we stepped into the cover of the trees and made our way to GZ. Sadly that's where we found the cache container laying on the ground. Inside the container everything was in great condition however never spotted the hinted rock in the bottom of the container. Signed the log sheet then used a piece of fishing line to hang the container on a branch to at least get it off the ground until it can be fixed by the CO

My thanks to Hamish D for letting me know about this cache. Unfortunately it will have to stay that way for a few weeks as I'm currently elsewhere, but at least it is still in working order albeit not working as it should. I will get it re-hung properly on my return.
A morning caching in and around Levin. A favorite point from me Thanks TwigNZ for the cache.
So after a long day of work me and Clarke_nua went to go spend the afternoon finding some geocaches in order to get to cache 100 by Monday evening so we headed down to ohau to find a few I hadn't already found.
After accidently missing the parking spot and grabbing the other cache nearby it we then went and parked the car as close as possible to the cache and went and grabbed it recognized the style cache and got it in had quickly

Found this one on a pleasant Sunday afternoon. A well set up cache hide, worked without a hitch. Thanks for the cache, TwigNZ!
I usually do a big maintenance run around this time of year, and I was certainly glad I checked up on this one. What a mess it had been left it!
Cache retrieval mechanism completely totaled!
Part of the cache missing!
Chocolate left in the cache!
Suffice to say I was not impressed to effectively have to reassemble the whole cache from scratch.
But cache in now back up and running as it should be. Hopefully any new finders will leave it in the same condition.

On our way south and in 2 minds in doing this last peak but decided its a good way to get out for a day. Thanks for the placement. - fav point added
It took a couple of minutes before we spotted something. Nicely constructed cache. Thanks TwigNZ

As we were to find out as the weekend progressed there are many, many tree climbs required to sign off caches round here. We both approached from different levels and were standing pondering when paddle chick turned round and saw what the tell tale signs. Have another favourite for the fun of it. TFTC # 18,079
#10,850. After attending the nearby Cannonball event in Levin, I decided to pick up this cache today. We parked nearby and scrambled up the bank to reach the trees. Infoferret had been here before and virtually put my hand on the mechanism so keen was she to find more caches back in Levin. The container soon reached my level and I signed the logbook. I have a couple of caches of this type and I know the perils of keeping them from getting tangled. But this one is working very well. Thanks TwigNZ for placing it here.
What a clever cache. Something different and for a bonus there was a lovely crop of blackberries right next to the park spot. Tftc
For this part of the caching day I decided to start down at Ohau and cache my way back up doing some, not all, of the available caches. A good plan, though I ended up coming back down this way later due to my seeming inability to follow instructions! All good here and after parking nearby I headed into the bush, much to the consternation of the pram-pushing young Mum. Soon spotted what was required and soon had my name added to the log (but not those TBs!) Cheers Twig, I do like these types.
An unusual weekend this was, with mrs c in the region since Wednesday afternoon but me working meant it was Friday evening before we got together and discussed the new house we will soon be moving to. She'd come down in case it fell through which was looking possible at some points last week, but all good in the end. She headed back up North to Auckland this morning and the day was forecast for, and started off with, plenty of the wet stuff. I decided a trip to Foxton and Levin was happening anyway, even if just for a few Ad Lab stages. In the end the big yellow thing prevailed and dried up all the rain and I was able to make a few finds and not get too wet. Even got to (finally) meet TwigNZ, which was good, esp as I'd found a few of his today. Thanks to all COs for their contributions to my fun today.

#1858. Spent the day at our orchard doing inside and outside maintenance. Started coolish, but soon sweltered to 24C. Needed a quick cache to maintain my current streak, and this was was only 6.3km away - after 7 traffic was minimal. No sign of the “Freedom Convoy” which passed noisily this morning.
No climb for a Twig cache, that’s a bonus. Nice straightforward park and grab really, no special skill required. FP for ingenuity. Tftc TwigNZ.
Streak Day #29. And, an email from Groundspeak advising I have been allocated a Spongebob Squarepants trackable.

My tree climbing days are well past me so I enjoy these types of caches as a kind of substitute. I always feel the need to carefully study the workings of such caches in order to put things back the way I found them but this one is uncomplicated and looks to be a robust set up that should continue to work well without any intervention. Having run out of favourite points a while ago, I resolved to be a little tougher with my awarding of them. However, I simply had to relinquish one here; the second in the last ten minutes or so.
I was almost sorry to miss out on the climb, that would have been an easy one and quite fun! Had the cache in hand within a couple of minutes or so of arriving at GZ - had to give a couple of tugs at first to free up the mechanism so that the cache could descend easily. No problems after that. Signed log, TFTC!
Such a great hide. Did this one with geo kids and sweatyyetinz. Dropped the pen one the way to GZ so messaged CO. Thanks John for the awesome cache, and the recommendation for another one to check out!
*Very nice find with woolwood9 on the way to the GIFF event.*
Took a minute or 2 to spot as we came from the wrong direction through the long wet grass.

A very clever hide in a peaceful spot in the country side. A well deserved Favourite point from me. Thanks for placing the cache
Found anfter a good look about around for something to sign, then oh, what's this! Clever hide indeed and thankful no tree climing was required. Worth a FAV - TFTC
Due to the postponement of the Auckland Mega, Buttels and the Crystal half decided to use the dates planned for the event to do some caching between Wellington and Palmy. Having a look at the previous tree we liked the name of this one.. It did take us a while to find the cache as the co-ords seemed to be quite far out, but once we looked in the correct direction we quickly spotted it. Very cleverly crafted. Thanks for the cache
We had an idea what type of cache this might be, and this proved to be correct. We always enjoy this type of cache, and everything worked smoothly. A favourite from us. TFTC
I parked up and followed the trail into the trees. I soon noticed what I was looking for. All in good working order. TFTC
Found the expansive car parking area and decided to make my first shoe change of the day into my gumboots for tackling the long wet grass. Wasn't sure whether to go along the fence or along the road. I chose the road and soon spotted the path that others had taken from the road and clambered up. Got to GZ and spied the cache and the lowering mechanism. Retrieved the cache and signed the log, and replaced, although it was getting a little tough friction-wise near the top. Headed back out where I saw that the fence-line was indeed the best option. All good here, and TFTC+FP
9.30am. I have just read the previous logs. Does this make a second to find for here? I think the first one I found like this was in Brisbane- a few years ago. Worth a favourite point for this hide. Thank you. David.
Really smart and good place clever design left Mr turtle TB here although I saw he got snatched up quickly thanks to Twignz for this cache and the event yesterday
Thanks TwigNZ for another cool cache in this scenic location!
I was sad that I couldn't make it to the Event yesterday... I'm sure it was lots of fun!!
But despite 21people finding this before me I may still be {2TF} ??
I love this type of hide and it has been nicely constructed!

A nice group geocaching find here today lots of cars around but all geocachers cars today so nice to catc up with a great group of fellow geocachers. A Joint (FTF) cache signed and ten onto the next cache for the day.
{FTF} with Flowerydaze for the event and then the three caches TwigNZ had put out. A well crafted hide which lived up to its name...thankfully.
I came to town as a passenger initially for the event but had my arm twisted, stop that's enough, up my back to join in the hunt for a few others, some new and some old.
This was one of the new ones.
Cheers for the cache.

SkyCraneKid (formally known as EtherMaster) and I are heading on a boy's roadtrip to TwigNZ's "On your marks, get set, GO! 3" Meet&Greet event at Ohau.
This was one of the caches released for/at the event.
We didn't find this one, rather it had already been found and was pointed out to us. SCK did the honors of retrieving the container and the names of those who joined us were also added before the container was re-hidden.
This is a well executed hide, and I feel that it would have taken me quite some time to find it if I had of been searching by myself.
Thanks for the Joint {FTF} shared with the other event attendees.

26 September 2021 14:04. One down, and 2 parents eager to be out and about, so off here we headed. Another very clever little hide, and an unexpectedly blank logbook..TFTC, another well deserved FP.

{FTF} with many others. I like trees I don’t have to climb yet need to look hard for the cache. This one gets a favourite. TFTC TwigNZ.
A group of us headed out and quickly located this cache which was released today by Twignz who did a fantastic job holding an event as well organizing the release of three brand new caches. Awesome to have been in attendance.
a new cache put out to follow the great lunch time event at Ohau and as we were very close by another of todays challenges it did not take to long to locate this cache and have it signed , esp as there was a hoard of other cachers all milling around and parked nearby !
Thank you for this cache after the great event . And another joint {FTF} .

It was great to travel down to Ohau today in the very good company of haydn.seek and edvern for the annual celebration of daylight saving event, "On your marks, get set, GO! 3".
Three new caches were generously provided by the CO, TwigNZ.
This was the second of the new ones we visited. We certainly appreciated not having to climb the tree here. Several others had arrived ahead of us and there was a very good geotrail to follow! TFTC TwigNZ and the joint {FTF}

After the CO’s terrific event today in Ohau, a small group of us wandered off in a convoy to get the newly published caches and to knock off a few of the CO’s local tree-climbing geocaches.
Fortunately this cache did not require climbing (except if you’re the CO and one doesn’t put the rock back!). Once again I’m pleased to gain a {FTF} for sharing finding it.
Thanks for placing this cache and the opportunity for another {FTF}

Having attended the nearby event when this was published, I got sidetracked by another nearby cache and so missed the initial group(s) finding this one. When I arrived there was one other person searching - turned out he was a local cacher who just happened to see the hoards of people and figured out what was going on. Did not take long to notice something out of place that very much reminded me of one of the COs other caches, and the log was soon signed. TFTC.
The last cache for us today before heading home, and the 'mob' were in attendance here too.
We followed the trail of people (and geo trail) to GZ where the log book was spotted going from hand to hand.
Thanks for setting this up and for the joint {FTF}

I love as good tree climb, as the CO here knows - I think every tree climb cache I have done has been given a favourite, even if it is a dreaded micro.
So after the Ready Set Go / Daylight Saving / Start of the summer geocaching season event in Ohau we all split up to find some local caches. We all headed off in different directions, partly because we wanted to, and partly because the CO specifically requested that we do not all turn up at the same cache together - might get the muggles wondering what's going on. So - we all split up. My team found a couple of caches then headed here.
What? How did that happen? We are ALL here! We all arrived together! (Okay, some didn't, but they arrived before we left, so that still counts). And another empty log book now nearly have full... [FTF]
Okay, it's not a tree climb, but it does tick everything else, so gets a favourite. Nicely done, Twig.
Okay, next cache - hmm. Another tree climb. I bet everyone turns up there too!

After attending TwigNZ’s lively event On your marks Get set Go 3 some of us teamed up to collect the three new caches published this afternoon. Having been instructed to try and spread out, there seemed to be a collective effort to all get to this cache at the same time! Joined the line to sign the cache. Appears nicely constructed. Thanks John for the smiley and the joint {FTF}

Best tree climb ever … for a cache. These tree climbs are my style. Unfortunately hubby and I were unable to meet up for Twigs Daylight Saving event today due to a prior family commitment, but managed to come down to Ohau later in the afternoon when Ethness advised these had been published. (FTF) Hubby & I enjoyed this contraption and appreciated the cache construction. Favourite given, many thanks Twig for the cache.
{FTF} joint with a whole convoy of others from TwigNZ's nearby event. What a good hide! Thanks, Twig, for placing these caches for us to find after your excellent event. A most enjoyable afternoon.
#12,555. Joint {FTF} and first day find. After attending the enjoyable On your marks, get set, GO! 3 event in Ōhau, a group of us recruited the help of Rubbishparty to accompany us to a number of tree-climbing caches and the set of three new geocaches that were published in conjunction with the event.
Arrived on Muhunoa West Road in Ōhau. Apart from the group of geocachers about, fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. It was a super quick find for us as the cache had been retrieved by the time we arrived. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
