On our way to 4 days of caching based at Echuca so it was time to take the back roads and pick up the less visited areas and caches.TFTC, we felt a wee bit vertically challenged here, but good hide.
Were so grateful for your effort in placing this cache! Crustvarmint and I enjoyed a fantastic day out in this beautiful spot, and the cache itself was a pleasure to find, as its in excellent shape.
I came to ride the Murchison Rushworth Rail Trail, with my mate, Juzzmagic, and we decided to do a loop around Waranga Basin. I hadn't been to this part of the Basin, and it certainly was pretty in this beautiful weather. The cache was found quickly, in good condition. Thanks for placing the cache, lorigus74.
Driving up to stay at Tatura for the events tomorrow.Collected a few AdLabs and caches on the way.Not really dip weather! Although I got quite wet caching earlier today.Took longer to find than it should have. Thanks, Robmc.
A lovely lakeside area, Must get busy in summer. No dip for us today.Neat hide. Thanks K&M
After camping last night at Ayson's Reserve, Chook headed off to Tatura for the Central Vic Annual Event. After enjoying a good part of the afternoon at that fabulous event, and exploring the town via the new Adventure Labs and a couple of caches, Chook decided she had better start heading home before it got too dark. Of course there were caches to get along the way too.Well this cache firstly took a while to locate. Just as Chook was reaching out to the CO (who responded incredibly promptly), she spotted something that turned out to be what she needed. Chook is called Chook because her backside is close to the ground - so this one was quite challenging for her. But with some lateral thinking and some jiggling and cajoling, she eventually had the cache in hand. Would probably rate this as a D2.5 hide, but it was heaps of fun and cleverly hidden, so well worth a favourite point for the adventure. TFTC lorigus74.
Found with Bogonghazy on our way home whilst staying at Numurkah for a week. Thanks for placing the geocache clever hide
Quick find with LittleBoss2 while heading back to Bendigo. Thanks again lorigus74. This one was only found after a second look. Loved it

Caching in the area with @MayFamily. We love that caching is a great way to discover places. Such a rich history in this area. Great hide. TFTC
Arriving at GZ I thought that I may have been having a dip-whether I liked it or not, but thankfully I managed to keep my tootsies dry.TFTC Lorigus74
My gps coordinates were bouncing everywhere. I only had a few minutes before I had to pick up my daughter from training so I was in a bit of a panic.
Kangaroos were out and so we’re those huge 8 legged creepy things eek!
Cache was finally located, log signed and returned

I have wonderful memories of camping holidays here at Waranga Dam which included lots of sailing. No activity visible today but a well hidden cache. Thanks lorigus74
My geopooch team member always says yes to a dip so we had a stop by the water for a while before looking for the cache. This one took me a little while to find but got there in the end.
Found on our little journey for palindrome day on a 2'sday.
Heading to Mooroopna for a meal with like minded cachers but decided an afternoon of caching would be a great idea, so we are journeying to Rushworth, Tatura the Mooroopna.
Found quickly and cache in good condition.
Stamped log and continued our journey.

Made a quick find after the nice views of the lake. I enjoyed the hide so giving it a fav tftc
Looks like there has probably been some flooding around here but this little cache is not going anywhere.
A great hide and top views. Lunch spot for me.
Thanks lorigus74

This one took us some time but after reading some logs we knew what to look out for. TFTC and bring us here.
#4772 A good spot to pull up for my lunch break. Today is cool and rainy so a "Dip" is definitely not on the cards! After finishing a ham salad roll, I looked at the phone to see I had parked only 3 metres from the cache. A short search later and the clever little hide was spotted high and dry. TFTC lorigus74.
Found with Nan on a day out. Water is right up to the cache location so had to watch our step but cache was high and dry. TFTC
So good to see the Waranga Basin so full! It was almost lapping the feet of the gingerbread man! SL at 11.45am No time for a dip today, there’s more caches to find. #8292 TFTC lorigus74
I was thankful to come along to this one after the dust had settled on the first second and third to find frenzy from the other day. A much quieter time had me taking some glorious photos of the area and generally taking in the serenity with dalerious by my side. Lovely . Some clever hides for this series. Thanks again lorigus74 .

A pretzel, biscuits, bread rolls, cake, panini and lastly a Toast! We gathered all the Bread Crumbs on our homeward journey from the Goulburn Valley to the Bellarine. What an amazing series, so well set up and presented, the back roads were familiar to us, it gave the drive a very special flavour.
No dipping today, but water was very close to cache location!
Thanks lorigus74 for creating this tasty series.

PS Is there a special treat for being first to complete the series?

Trying to fill a hole in the calendar (there are currently a lot of holes) I decided to take the 30mins drive out to Waranga Basin. Well I wasn't expecting to get my feet wet looking for this cache but sure enough I went out a bit too far before retreating and spotting the prize. Yet another clever cache and hide from Lorigus74. TFTC.
A dip ??
Too cold, too windy !!
There is plenty of the wet stuff here at the moment to go dipping in
The water is lapping at GZ !!

Find #2586 for me. Found at 1:51 pm with my dog Bonnie while visiting the area from Bendigo. Although this location may be popular in summer, there was nobody in sight today. This was fortunate as I was actually stumped here for a while, searching in vain before I finally spotted the very clever concealment. Nice one! Thanks for the fun and the cache lorigus74!
Joint FTF with WeAreGleesos! I was out walking the pooch & I checked my emails & made a dash home as fast as the pooch could walk. Quickly jumped in the car & headed out to a spot I know well. Haven’t seen the water up this high for a while. Parked the car & organised geobaby with shoes. He was excited to find the treasure. WeAreGleesos showed up & we soon had found the treasure! Not much time had past & more cars arrived. WeAreGleesos departed & I loaded up geobaby & headed off to pick up a couple more on the other side of town! As I was leaving a friendly thumbs up to another fellow geocacher who we’d only beaten by minutes. TFTC!
Seems no matter how fast I am these days, there's faster teams out there now[xx(]
Having seen new caches published and then looking at where they were[?][^], I figured Tatura would be a miss anyway as there are so many teams around there now so I headed further West to try my luck for unchartered territory out yonder[^][^]
As I got near to GZ of the 1st target I saw a vehicle on the opposite side of the road[?]
Eventually I realised that it was dalerious in his dad's X-Trail He'd already signed the log book[xx(] with his passenger, who I assumed was catnap777
I decided to race dalerious and his passenger to Waranga Basin to try for the cache there[^]
Except as I pulled in to GZ there was already a gaggle of geocachers
They'd SL too so a chat was had because I had forgotten everyone's team names
Then I tried to ring catnap777 to say 'don't bother coming down as FTF has gone' but dalerious then pulled in too
Finally I worked out that his passenger was NOT catnap777[?] but was actually the female half of Lizzie&E[^]
So as GleesonsTribe and WeAreGleesos left, Lizzie&E, dalerious and I all signed the log book on this clever hide[^]

Joint 3TF with Lizzie&E and locus cache at 5:15pm, only minutes after the swarms of "Gleesons" had dissipated.
I can honestly say that I have been to geocaching events with fewer teams represented at GZ. [:o]
As Lizzie' and I pulled up, there were 5 teams within stone's throw of each other [^], well, nearly . By the time I found a decent yonny, the FTFers had already hit the bitumen. So I put down my rock, gave Rex a pat and said g'day to locus cache who was parked nearby having also been pipped at the post.
The log for this beaut new hide soon had 3 more names added below the FTF line and we all hung around for a while catching up talking all things geocaching while watching the water lap the banks higher than any of us can recall for a long while. [8)]
Realising there was no sense of urgency any more, we left the other 4 new caches for another day and eventually made our own ways home.
