Logs
Tftc, Lou and Paul from the Blue Mountains NSW. Travelling with Savannah and D.B Biker. Cache in good order.
#11451 12:50
The third day of geocaching with Team Canary, Brewmaker, Noodles21, ziggiau and Rainbow Spirit. For today the focus was on Wattle Flat.
With a few extra solved puzzle caches, the first stop was at the Southern side of Wattle Flat. After finding the answers to the multi in the informative, but run down park, we headed down the trails to collect the 34 NSW attendees. We had no problems with all caches; two caches were not found but with the green light from Joshwa we replaced with a new container.
After morning tea at the nearby Wattle Flat General Store we then drove via Paling Yards to Upper Turon for a few traditionals and the odd puzzle cache, followed by a picnic in Wattle Flat.
ziggiau and Brewmaker had no problem driving their car along these dirt tracks!
Logs were signed with the team name BRINTZ. TFTC!

Third day on a caching holiday along with The Geocaching Adventures group: Brewmaker, Rainbow Spirit, Its Dozzie, Team Canary and Ziggiau.
Today we set out to complete the trails in Wattle Flat and surrounding areas.
After walking the southern Heritage loop we needed a break, so after a stop for some local coffee we went on to find some drive by caches.
When we got to this one we were doubtful that we'd be able to get to Sofala from here. With the river so high and fast flowing part of the causeway here had washed away. The next river crossing was also a definite no, so we turned around and went back to Wattle Flat the way we came.
Signed group as BRINTZ
Thanks for the cache.

What a beautiful tree this cache is hidden next to. We had hoped to continue on to Sofala from here but the Turon was up and not at all safe so we had to return to Wattle Flat and go that way. We really enjoyed our drive here so a favourite from us.
Came home the back way to pick up these more out of the way caches.
The road was a bit rough but easy enough with a little care.
Been quite a few years since I last travelled this road.
