With a day of warm, sunny weather, before a week of clouds of and rain, I decided to make the most of it and head out for a day of caching. One of the targets for this afternoon was to head to Scott Conservation Park for a good stretch of the legs and search for a few caches. Having done what I was after in the conservation park, I decided to go after a few caches in the nearby area before heading home. All caches were found in good condition, unless otherwise stated, in what was an enjoyable afternoon making my way around the dirt roads of country South Australia.Find #11223, at 03:31 pmTFTC Smile

Found today on a nice Saturday afternoon out caching with my Shatzy.

Pulled up just a bit short as there was an aged bearded dragon sunning himself on the road, so jumped out, picked him up and placed him back in the grass to survive another day. Cache was an east find and in goon Nic

Alas another church that no longer has god hanging around in it. We think God just hangs out on the internet these days, gosh the internet has everything doesnt it?
Lets have a Hozier song now .....
My lover's got humor
She's the giggle at a funeral
Knows everybody's disapproval
I should've worshiped her sooner
If the Heavens ever did speak
She's the last true mouthpiece
Every Sunday's getting more bleak
A fresh poison each week
"We were born sick", you heard them say it
My church offers no absolutes
She tells me, "Worship in the bedroom"
The only Heaven I'll be sent to
Is when I'm alone with you
I was born sick, but I love it
Command me to be well
A-, Amen, Amen, Amen
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
If I'm a pagan of the good times
My lover's the sunlight
To keep the Goddess on my side
She demands a sacrifice
Drain the whole sea
Get something shiny
Something meaty for the main course
That's a fine looking high horse
What you got in the stable?
We've a lot of starving faithful
That looks tasty
That looks plenty
This is hungry work
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me my deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins so you can sharpen your knife
Offer me my deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
No masters or kings when the ritual begins
There is no sweeter innocence than our gentle sin
In the madness and soil of that sad earthly scene
Only then I am human
Only then I am clean
Oh, oh, Amen, Amen, Amen
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life
Take me to church
I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies
I'll tell you my sins and you can sharpen your knife
Offer me that deathless death
Good God, let me give you my life

Well it seems better when you hear it sung.
Thanks for the cache Freddo, TFTC

Ah Freddo, your placement has no bounds. They seek him here, they seek him there, they seek his hides everywhere.

After taking a phone call and being parked on the corner in the shade, I ventured out here to find this robust hide. This one is going to last the tests of time, I know some archeologists in 3021 who will marvel at the technology employed in this item.

Thanks for the cache. Found on a day that mother bumped the oven knob and we jumped to 35 degrees without notice.

Cache in good condition.

I apologise right ..... now.... for the following padding in my log.
The Scarlet Freddonel is set in 1792, during the early stages of the French Revolution. Marguerite St. Just, a beautiful French actress, is married to wealthy English fop Sir Percy Blakeney, a baronet. Before their marriage, Marguerite took revenge upon the Marquis de St. Cyr, who had ordered her brother to be beaten for his romantic interest in the Marquis' daughter, with the unintended consequence of the Marquis and his sons being sent to the guillotine. When Percy found out, he became estranged from his wife. Marguerite, for her part, became disillusioned with Percy's shallow, dandyish lifestyle.

Meanwhile, the "League of the Scarlet Pimpernel", a secret society of twenty English aristocrats (cachercrats), "one to command, and nineteen to obey", is engaged in rescuing their French counterparts from the daily executions of the Reign of Terror. Their leader, the mysterious Scarlet Freddonel, takes his nickname from the small red flower he draws on his messages. Despite being the talk of London society, only his followers and possibly the Prince of Wales know the Pimpernel's true identity. Like many others, Marguerite is entranced by the Freddonel's daring exploits. I could go on, but there is caching to go on with.

Another caching day with Doctor Owl was organised this time heading to Victor Harbor to start with and then just getting stray caches while completing a big circuit. [^] The sky looked threatening but we only had a few spots on our nice drive on some roads we both had not been on before. A successful day finding all the caches we looked for. Big Grin

We were on our way to Strathalbyn and couldn't resist finding another Used 2B. Cool

Thanks for the cache Freddo. Smile

Time for another road trip to unwind! Owl gathered JJ52 and took off. The rain was thinking about starting but they managed to avoid it and did a big circuit of the south to collect stray caches that appeared on the map, including some of those 'one day' caches. The church was spotted and the cache soon afterwards.

Flushed with success from a FTF up the road, I debate whether or not to run for this one too. I’m not sure who the competition is this far south, and the weather is closing in. It’s only 25km, lets give it a whirl.

A heavy downpour passes through as I head on south, but has finished when I arrive at GZ. I can see the cache from the car. The former church took longer to spot, glad it wasn’t a multi.

An exciting drive along a route I haven’t travelled before, thanks for the midweek mid afternoon fun Freddo.
