We tried to go in one way but it was blocked off so had to go round the other side. Dont believe the map saying its a road. Mostly the road was ok for SUV or 4WD. Nice views up this way. Cache was in good condition with everything intact. Thanks for getting us out and about The Farmers 5

Despite it being a forecasted hot day and that there had been quite a storm the night before, I headed out to Pieces Creek forest area with Joolay and Kitty Katch to see if we could get to some of the trail based remote caches in the area. There had been lots of wind, but not too much water and the tracks were dry and passable. We found a few steep bits and more closed gates than I was expecting. We even learnt were to goto to start a future Camel back ridge trail hike from. There was a great variety of caches today, even a tree climb, although that was easier than one of the scrambles up to a rock boulder. We saw no snakes today despite the rising heat. I was pretty tired when I arrived home so just sat for the rest of the day. These six movie caches were all well supplied with dress ups and trinkets. They took us on some of the steepest of the trails and to some great outlooks. Even one spot I had been to before for a cache with Big Matt !Thanks for the cache The Farmers 545065.5 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Geocaching NSW 2017 A#450**Albida**

I was out on a maintenance run today and after finishing that I was only a few hundred meters from this one so headed up. I spotted the 'track' to get me closer and managed to park about 15m from GZ.

I then headed in through the afore mentioned regrowth and then spotted the 'huge' cache, largest I've found in a while, just sitting there to be found.

Thanks for nice cache F5 and the excuse to get the 4WD a little more dirty - a fav from me Big Grin

#3550 A little more off the road for this cache, so once again kept an eye out for any unwanted wildlife encounters. Got in and out with no concerns. TFTC.

The dirt bikers all seem to come out of the woodwork by this cache. Another fun wander up to gz with blue skies and green hills. Tftc

Pebbles and I went for a 4WD adventure with a number of scary and other stops along the way. Quite nice out here and very different to how I always imagined it from seeing the parts of this area closer to the river, much less steep than I had though. We had a great drive and enjoyed the caches.

This was the first in the series for us, we roughly knew what to expect but this was also a great setup around the container with all the fingers eye and webs. A FAVpoint!

Thank you The Farmers 5 for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Found this nice Cache together with Flintstones. Thank you for putting it out and maintaining it The Farmers 5.

After the thrill of the last one in the series it was time to head along for the last 3. All were found without issue and it wasn't long til the log was signed. Certainly took longer to walk in, or up, to the cache to make the find. Some great views as well.

Thanks for the series Farmers 5....number one was my fav.

What to say about this series? A lot of effort was put into these; a really fun and engaging series of caches. Thank you The Farmers 5. I don't have enough favorite points to give each one, so just marking the last one.

An easy 2.5 hour hike starting from the edge of the pine forest on Paddy's River Rd and hiking up the very steep starting hill to number 1 (for future cacher's - no way you are getting up this way via car or bike, lots of felled tree's over the very degraded 'track' from the road. Would need to approach this from the Flints Road side if you are planning on doing these via car. Looks like you may be able to approach via Murray's Creek rd via 2WD). This is a great little series with some fun, large caches in very good condition. Will definitely be coming back to do these with some muggles after dark.

Thanks for putting these out, a beautiful view down the valley from up here too. TFTC!

TFTC. Another large! I'm spotting a _theme_ here Smile We'll have to return for the rest another day.

GHJ & I grabbed this on the return trip, made a bit harder with a dodgy phone GPS. Nice, this probably the 2nd largest cache I've ever seen (I could probably have just fitted into the largest cache I've ever found). We then wandered over the tracks toward Black Hill, seeing some great views over the Tidbinbilla Area. Nice! There is a *lot* of forest around here and areas I've barely thought to explore. The bit up to Black Hill would stretch a lower travel car as it's steep and eroded at one point.

At Black Hill there was an excellent dusk view over the Deep Space Tracking Station. Too bad I'd left camera gear at home. From the top the road ended... WTF? We found a trail leading NE and the remnants of the old road. A nice sketchy descent followed, with a pause near the top to get out torches. After skating about we eventually arrived in a heap at the bottom and found a clear trail out (trail bike trail?), then hoofed it down the road to Murrays Corner...

No rain just sunshine to-day. Too good to stay home.

Walked this series starting from Paddys RIver Road. The first hill was the worst but soon at the top of the range. All in nice really big containers.

An entertaining series. (Apologies for incorrect date in log book, I thought it was a few days later in May than to-day.) TFTC.

Took an extra lot of trials and errors to get into this area - could not access from the Entry Point co-ordinates but maybe the old brain isn't as good as it used to be. Anyway, after a circuitous route, we finally got on the right tracks and GeoGrandson pounced on this one with great glee. Golly, what a terrific effort has gone into this series - thank you so much for the great work.

We made it harder for ourselves than we needed to

Interesting that they have replanted the top of this hill, but have left the area with the gum regrowth.

Thanks The Farmers 5

After a sleep-in, some pancakes, hanging out with family, and an early lunch, it was time to grab some caches. I picked up TikvaNZ then collected AngelG27 a little further along the way, and we headed out west to grab some of the newish caches. By 'newish' I mean published since lockdown. We had some good luck with the weather. It hardly rained while we were walking - just light sprinkly stuff. Just enough to keep things cool. We did the 6 scary movies caches and the two next to the fire trail going up to Hardy Hill. 8 finds out 8 today. Zero DNFs. So a successful outing. I had the mischievous idea of deploying a cache or two while we were out, but that didn't happen for various reasons. I got home with 30 minutes to spare, but found out that the next appointment had been cancelled. Oh well, more time to write up some caching logs.
Lots of effort went into all of these. I'm not a fan of scary movies, but I could see that the CO put a lot of thought into these.
This was the first of the day.

Despite the threat of rain, ZQX, AngelG27 and I ventured out for an afternoon's caching to tackle this series. All were easily found. Very impressed by the effort put into these. Thankfully the rain held off. For this cache we were in cloud which added to the spookiness. TFTC.

Cache 8264 on 20 Nov 2021.

Headed out with TikvaNZ and ZQX on a rather damp afternoon to grab these new caches! TikvaNZ managed to find a good way through the maze of roads to pop us in between caches 3 and 4. Grabbed the higher number ones first, which involved pushing past very wet foliage, before heading to the lower numbers which were easier access. All caches found in good order and with all masks intact! Added pathtags to numbers 1,2,3. Fav points all around!

Thanks The Farmers 5 for the cache and the fun!

We decided to find this series of caches at a moment’s notice when two GeoPartners were looking to start an adventure late morning. The location of this series looked interesting so off we went by car not really expecting anything out of the ordinary.

The drive out into the country side was beautiful with the mountains and grasslands a brilliant green. Off Paddy's River Road we found the Murrays Creek Road dirt track and slowly made our way to the of the steep hill. The roads were surprisingly good but it was clear that they have recently been graded/repaired following erosion due to the constant rains. We encountered a 'steam' roller fixing the dirt road on our way up one steep narrow incline coming down the other way. Not being able to pass the massive road machine it reversed up the hill until we could continue on. Phew !

Up the views are beautiful, the air fresh and the caches scary .

This cache was the first we found deep in dense eucalyptus regrowth. Wow! How scary was this intimate enclosed treed location! We don’t normally embrace Halloween but was intrigued by the amount of gory body parts lying about and animals in various life stages. The gifts inside the large containers are generous as are the decorations. At the first two caches we didn’t think to open the black bags in each cache. By the third cache we were curious so opened one up and got into the spirit of the theme enjoying this novelty.

We walked down to caches #6 and #1 alike not prepared to risk the car up the steep decline/incline despite having an appropriate SUV. The walks were short, it was great to stretch the legs and enjoy the views.

Highly recommend the adventure up for the views and a series of unique caches. Lots of effort has definitely been invested here which is impressive. Having just two favourite points (as I’m always giving them away) I am placing them on caches #1 and #6 for the incredible effort put into this series. Quick and easy find once you reach GZ. TFTC The Farmers 5.

Tankengine had come out to grab these as FTFs, but really wanted to come back and check these out during the day as well and admittedly they are best done with at least one other person for a best experience.

The drive is relatively easy to get to most of them. It’s really only number 1 that is the trickiest to drive up to and a 4wd is probably best.

The caches were all fun and we made the most of them. Thanks for a great day Tankengine and of course to The Farmers 5 for setting up this hilarious series.

This cache: This one was another easy one to get to and the extra paraphernalia was fun too. Tftc The Farmers 5!!!

I spotted this cache series come out a few nights ago and rather than go for the First to Find, I decided to do the series as it was intended by taking my time and getting the full experience of these caches.

I called up the Adventure Boys and a plan was hatched to go and get the caches in the series together Loci_162, Sui_001, Sebass19 and I were in for some fun. Let the spookiness begin. Sui-001 and I met at Denman Prospect McDonalds and headed out to the Cotter Dam together were a very keen Sebass19 and Loci_612 were waiting for us to arrive. After checking the map for the best access routes it was time to get into a spooky state of mind and we were off.

The trip through the forest was so much fun. There was Dust, burning Clutches and lots of wheel Spinning. We were all screaming with fun and sometimes fright. finally after driving for what seemed a long time we arrived at the first challenge. A massive steep hill. We all got out and debated if the cars would make it. The decision was yes and we went for it. I was in the Ute with Sui_001. With wheels spinning on loose rocks we took off like a bat out of hell. Before long we were at the first cache.

I will not spoil the fun for others by describing each of the caches, but I will say they are all HUGE...!!! and full of fun. I love watching horror movies — slasher films filled with plenty of blood, guts, and chainsaws so these caches were a real treat.

Every cache had a clear parking and entry waypoint marked out, paths to nearly all caches , decorated hides with bountiful cache contents and the "Extra Contents" in each cache was the highlight. The Adventure Boys sure did have fun with the cache contents. The Farmers 5 has gone way over the top of just a good cache. These caches are so "Bloody" good.

Every cache in the series was something new and better than the last one. We found ourselves giggling like a pack of school boys. We were having so much fun at each cache we didn't even realize that it took us almost 90 minutes t do only six caches.

Thanks The Farmers 5 for a spooky bunch of the best caches ever! You most likely have guessed it but every cache in the series gets a Fav Point from me. Now that is saying something because I almost never give out Fav Points.

Here is a list of my all time fav Scary Movies:

A fast-finishing be-on-me-next-time second to find this wonderful series of caches on Melbourne Cup day.

Nice and quiet out here thismorning. A short drive around the forest along familiar roads via the provided access road waypoint which is exactly where I met an emu and their chicks at the edge of the pine forest, bringing my emu sightings around Paddys River to 3 for the week!

I was able to park quite close to GZ and made my way over to GZ where I quickly found a very imaginative and entertaining cache which reflects a lot of effort. Superb views back to the west from here (and glimpses east) - a great spot.

Thanks, Farmers 5 - a superb series and an obvious favourite from me.

**This Cache**

This series was the highlight of today and what brought us all together this afternoon! Big Grin
We were very keen to find this series after a nudge from the CO and looking at the listings and cache sizes. It looked like a lot of fun!

We met up at the Cotter, with sebass19 in my car and DSD in Sui's Ute we soon started our convoy! The drive was quite simple to the series, my car (which is super low and 2WD) only couldn't make it to #1 and #6. But it made it within a couple hundred metres of them! Sui's Ute (which is also 2WD, but a lot more clearance) managed to drive to EVERY cache. But that is mostly because he is insane! Those two hills were a bugger, I was quite happy to be on foot instead!

We enjoyed taking turns in trying on the costumes and investigating the spookiness of the GZ at each cache!

Take your time to enjoy this series with a group of friends and I guarantee you will have a blast, keep a look out for the " path entry" waypoint at cache #3, and your eyes peeled at #4 also as there is a track all the way to the cache! We only had to push through undergrowth for up to 10 metres when the cache was hidden amongst it out of prying muggle eyes.

You couldn't have picked a better location for this series, not only is it a great road, but there are some fantastic views (especially at #1!), and the growth after the fires has provided perfect opportunity for hiding such large caches!

Thanks Farmers 5 for this epic series, a favourite point for all of them, they certainly deserve it and I wouldn't be able to pick a favourite if you asked me as they were all as fantastic as eachother! As mentioned in the listing, I have uploaded our photos at each cache, but none of which show the cache hide position.

**Today:**

The "Adventure Boys" consisting of DARKSIDEDAN, Sui_001, sebass19 and myself were very keen to give the new "Scary Movies" series a crack ASAP since seeing it come out the other night!

sebass19 and myself met up a couple hours early to do some extra caching in the Cotter before the other two arrived, as Dan didn't clock off work until 5pm. We grabbed a variety of caches before meeting the Dan and Sui in the Cotter at 5:45pm to start our convoy to the series.

Haven't had this much fun for a while, highly recommend this series to everyone! Make sure you come prepared with a couple hours up your sleeve for the full experience, and bring friends as it won't be as fun to do alone!

Finally got back home at 8:30pm and straight to bed for a 5am wake-up the next morning....zzzzz!

Wooooo! Adventure boys adventure!
Such wonderful fun and terrific caches.
Clear parking and entry waypoints, paths to nearly all caches , and such wonderfully seasonally decorated hides with bountiful cache contents!

We all took turns dressing up, others took pics, so they’ll post them, but, woo!

I laughed a lot this evening and enjoyed being out at dusk.

Thanks a spooky bunch for such great caches!

Cake or pie? I can tell a lot about you by which one you pick. It may seem silly, but cake people and pie people are really different. I know which one I hope you are, but that's not for me to decide. So, what is it? Cake or pie?
He walked down the steps from the train station in a bit of a hurry knowing the secrets in the briefcase must be secured as quickly as possible. Bounding down the steps, he heard something behind him and quickly turned in a panic. There was nobody there but a pair of old worn-out shoes were placed neatly on the steps he had just come down. Had he past them without seeing them? It didn't seem possible. He was about to turn and be on his way when a deep chill filled his body.
Turning away from the ledge, he started slowly down the mountain, deciding that he would, that very night, satisfy his curiosity about the man-house. In the meantime, he would go down into the canyon and get a cool drink, after which he would visit some berry patches just over the ridge, and explore among the foothills a bit before his nap-time, which always came just after the sun had walked past the middle of the sky. At that period of the day the sun’s warm rays seemed to cast a sleepy spell over the silent mountainside, so all of the animals, with one accord, had decided it should be the hour for their mid-day sleep.
Sleep deprivation causes all sorts of challenges and problems. When one doesn’t get enough sleep one’s mind doesn’t work clearly. Studies have shown that after staying awake for 24 hours one’s ability to do simple math is greatly impaired. Driving tired has been shown to be as bad as driving drunk. Moods change, depression, anxiety, and mania can be induced by lack of sleep. As much as people try to do without enough sleep it is a wonder more crazy things don’t happen in this world.

Chooo ooo [FTF] - wow, what an adventure… I started this last night, but that fizzled out due to lack of preparation! I forgot to bring my GPS, and the phone maps were wrong, so I couldn't find a way to get to the road! The road I was after was washed out! So last night I walked to the first cache, but that was harder than expected, so left the rest for this morning.

I left bright and early (before sunrise) and using my GPS maps, found a way to drive all the way up!

Finding the caches was a challenge! Despite them being very big and the coordinates spot on, they were well hidden, and the new regrowth here is nuts! You need to fight your way through! Oh, and did I mention - just to make it a tad harder - the crazy regrowth is littered with burnt fallen trees to negotiate! You could be 1m from the cache and not see it! (Well, it was dark, so maybe in the day it might be easier - but much less fun! Smile).

At GZ the spookiness began! Cool! But it didn't end there, as there were plenty of real spiders to negotiate as well! Being by myself on this mission, and on a FTF time schedule, I missed out on the fun that was to be had at each GZ! Maybe next time!

I finished the last one just in time to catch a lovely sunrise over Canberra!
Favourite from me, thanks for the cache The Farmers 5.
