Was meant to log this yesterday. This was a pretty fun cache. It was well camouflaged. Tftc
Once at the correct tree it was easy to spot the hanging fruit. Thank you very much for adding to the power trail. Now only two caches remain for me in this series, which happen to be tree climbs. Hopefully those can be ticked off soon as well. Thank you very much GeocachingTownsville for creating the 2.0/2.0 Small sized geocache RRPT - No Climb This Time.
Easy find nice and simple but interesting at the same time .nice bike ride with my dadTFTC
Never normally a fan of the hangers, spotted this one nice ad quick though and added my name. Cheers
For my work PT today I did the Geocaching loop from Bowen Road to Aplins weir starting along the North of the river and returning along the South. A nice round number of finds and ignored the tree-climb/monkey ones, not my thing, though did find one of them as it was reachable from the floor. Thanks to GeocachingTownsville for the majority of the finds which were generally in good condition.

Our our day out in the Ville caching and in this local vacinity. We did a quick park. Find sign and replace. TFTC.
Some people might think that early evening isn’t a nice time to go caching with the potential for mozzies and more chance of running into unseen spider webs across a track but it was pretty cool to see the grassy fields alongside the ross river with it’s little billabongs come alive with hundreds of fireflies flickering and flittering as the go about doing firefly things. The cache itself was found a lot more quickly than Hollow and kookaburra sits and actually was signed by yours truly but for a moment I thought i’d have to walk back to the car to get another log, but it was just scrunched down the bottom. The full-ish moon provided a good backdrop for the walk back to the car too. Apparently it’s going to fully eclipse tomorrow night between 7 and 11pm. Nicely hidden and living longer than others adjacent to this pathway. Thanks for the cache.

Found this in the morning. It was fun trying to find it and working at the clue that it gave and writing my name down was so exiting as it was my first cache. TFTC
Found it with my family in the morning. It was easy and I liked the container. TFTC CacheQld
Found with orth71 on a walk along the river on Sunday.

Today we said goodbye to our Townsville geocaching Uber support Bill and Di Morgan, who have been kind enough to drive us around Townsville during the MEga and beyond. They are heading slowly south, while we wait to get the car fixed at Toyota. Today was out on the bike as our now only mode of transport and we decided that Annadale series of caches and those sprinkled around that area would be a good start, as long as the weather held out. A few passing showers but nothing to get us too wet.
Thanks CacheQLD for the caches.

Great Northern escape 2022 Day 14. Townsville post Mega section Day 2. For my last day in Townsville, I joined TikvaNZ for another section of the Ross River power trail, with a bit of on and off again rain and a closed section we did pretty well. After that I set myself a list of puzzles and other non -trad caches to find for the day, which all took a lot longer than I expected, not to mention the ongoing rain all day. It has been a wonderful time in Townsville, and I have many more caches to get, so hopefully I will get to pass through again later in the year.
Thanks for the cache CacheQLD

Day 14 of a 3 week holiday driving from Canberra to Townsville and back to attend the Mega. This morning Albida33 and I did some more of the Ross River Power Trail by bike/scooter. Apart from having to skip 4 due to being fenced off, all caches we attempted were soon found. TFTC.

Found with BecknMonts while out using our electric scooters. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon when we found most of the cachers that we went for.
A lovely cool and overcast Easter Sunday, perfect for doing some more of this fantastic walking trail along the river.
Enjoying a quiet ride along the river with Bill of the DiMorgan. Good of the cache name to let us know no exertion was needed here. [^] TFTC CacheQLD.

Found by Mary and David at 16:05. Mary was visiting a long-time nursing friend nearby, so David set off for a walk to find a few RRPTs. Took a little while to spot this one, but all good after that. Our thanks to CacheQLD.
With a goal of collecting 150 caches in a day, our plan was to tackle both geoarts, hit the RRPT and collect some other caches in between. An early start was in order to achieve this goal before getting ready for the Trivia night at the MEGA.
A huge thank you to all the COs for preparing and placing the caches we collected today, the variety of hide locations, types and containers was fantastic.

The day had come; the plan to get 150 caches (excluding labs) in a day for another challenge was here. The planning and prep started two months ago when I was at the Wangaratta mega. With the recent zoom events for puzzle solving a big help and the Geoarts of the saint and the book catering for two thirds of the task, it was just a matter of finding 50 more caches so as I was able to complete. Today I had Willis007 with me; we picked on a few quick easy finds as we were passing and motoring between arts. We then grabbed the bikes and went for a ride around along the Ross river parkway or is that power trail.
The Geoarts were found easy and thank you. The book art did slow us down a little with some hides a little tuff to find. the power trail was fun some good caches and some that also slowed us down. However, by the end of the day we were done and the challenge completed.
Thanks to my caching buddies, the CO’s for the caches and the great areas I got to see today.

Quick find on this one. Minimal traffic but those escooters are definitely quiet when they come up TFTC.
Back home from being booster-ed this evening, hopefully I get better reception or some 5G. Wanted to grab something because I’m going to do a streak until I don’t want to do one anymore (probably quit tomorrow). It was very late, for me so I wanted to grab something quickly. This was it.
Thank you CacheQLD (and particularly burgo78) for placing this cache for me to enjoy!
