Full time Nomads since March 2014, in WA to visit family.

Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash, with a slight detour to Kalgoorlie to attempt a few caches. Headed out in the drizzle and freezing cold windy temperatures to claim a couple more smilies today.

We continued our journey from Kalgoorlie to Coolgardie. On the way we visited some Geocaches. This was one of them we found. Thanks to the owner for the cache !

Day 5 of Geotrakka and my road-trip around the Kalgoorlie area. Most of our group has departed, so Geotrakka and I are hoping to get quite a few more smilies around town.

Day 5 of our road trip/ camping adventure. Many packed up and left this morning but N2O and I are here for another day of caching around Kalgoorlie. Planning a busy day to grab local caches after an epic couple of days out at Victoria Springs.
I found your cache jasenjanine which added to my adventures. Thanks for placing it. Your cache makes my 6203 find.
Now this was a fun night find! There were a few campers nearby so we used stealth. Fun

After yesterday's very heavy driving day we decided to take it easy today and explore Kalgoorlie. Of course there is still time for a few caches

It was reasonably dry in the area so we were able to drive to within 20m of the cache with our 4wd.
We found something that stood out from the area but the clue had us stumped.
Thanks for the cache.

Even with the hint and a spot on gps3i almost logged this as a dnf. Just as I was about to leave I thought I would look at previous logs for clues. I found one that was more specific and found I had been scratching in the pine needles right next to cache and still didn't see it. TFTC

Made a quick find here after resorting to looking at previous photos. This helped to narrow down the search with the fading light TFTH

Didn't find it but had fun exploring the lake with my dog anyhow

Considering it is the end of winter I feel lucky that I was able to find this cache today without having to have any Mud Therapy or swimming lessons!
The last time I visited, just over 4 years ago, the water level was up and over the concrete footpath in places. I guess it’s been a dry year.

jasenjanine, I found Douglas Island today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

As local maintainer for this cache, it’s long been on my list to find! Finally got a chance on the way back from Coolgardie with the kids. Had a bit of fun at GZ keeping both of them away from the ant nest entrances. Cache was completely covered in needles dropped from the surrounding trees. Luckily we spied the top of the hint just peeking out otherwise it would’ve been a DNF! Replaced back on top of the needle pile but suspect this may be a seasonal problem each year. TFTC

While the interstate travel is still a bit iffy we decided to spend the time touring southern WA.
We set up camp here for an overnight stay. after settling in we took a walk across to grab this cache. The water level was low enough to walk across and make a quick grab.

This was find number 1 for the day.
