Find # 16082Down in Melton to hit up some caches and Adventure Labs. But main reason was to go motorbike helmet shopping. After checking out a couple of bike shops in Melton, I headed around town grabbing ad labs. But then decided to head to Keilor to check out a few more bike shops... With shopping done I headed back to my original plan, "cache around Melton", hitting up The Toolern Vale Triangle and the Merry Bush Christmas trails and what ever other caches came up on the GPS. All caches found had no issues. It was great to be on some back tracks and make finds in an area I've had my eye on for some time now.TFTC Benjamin Screamer

Drove up to Ballarat for a Double Significant Morning tea, some AdLabs, and a few Xmas caches on the way home. A lovely day to be out caching..I just noticed this little run of caches when the TDOC23 cache was put out. Today I made a clean sweep of them, a nice Xmas present.A quick find, but reading the hint now, I don't think it is where it should be. Might need a check. Thanks, Robmc.

We set off for a half day of TDOC23 caches over west which ended up being a full day of including other caches and we didn't get home till 7pm lol As we were heading this way we decided to look up to see what COTY22 nominees were in the area as well. We saw this series was on the way to the TDOC23 cache so we stobbed to grab these too.
Oh I forgot to mention on the last log that my maiden name is Hogg, so these may be long distant ancestors of mine!!!!! Great idea for a series which you can add to each year, very cool

I had a number of plans for today's geocaching run. They included :-
20 caches in Macedon Ranges LGA.
12+ caches in Moorabool LGA.
12+ caches in Melton LGA.
CITO, Event and Tree Attribute in new LGA.
2002 old geocache.
And most importantly - Geodetic Survey Way Point.

Not sure about Melton & Moorabool LGA numbers, will have to recheck LGA borders but had a great day with 41 finds in total, in lots of different environments. Highlight would have to be Mt Macedon.

Another car past. Busy back road

Thanks for the cache Benjamin Screamer

Thanks to Benjamin Screamer for this hide.
We found it soon after arriving at GZ.
A nice spot.
We now have the Christmas caches all found. Looking forward to this year's installment if there is to be one.

Complete darkness already. It is as if someone forgot to pay the power bill. **Lights out!**
A few passing muggles, but they didn't even stop to see if we were alright.
That's okay, and so are we. Smile

had run out of time on my last trip in the area and decided to return today to complete this series. With Cachemas on the way it was the perfect time to get into the spirit.

The road was a little busier than expected, but I suspect there was a gathering occurring at a nearby property.

2021 was another year of Covid. Sure was nice to get out over summer again. Spend most of this Christmas break out in Gippsland chasing dead premiers, LGAs and UBD and Polygon challenges.

The cache here was found in good shape.

Thanks Benjamin Screamer for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

We just got back from overseas yesterday and the countries visited had hardly any caches, so we are well behind in this month's wheel of challenge. So, a huge day of caching: ad labs, trads and of course hunting out those with lots of favourite points. Nice easy series, thanks.

I was only just made aware of this series so it was great to be in the area and able to find them all . . . . so far. It is a rather wet day but we managed to find everything without getting wet. It is a really lovely area that you have brought us to. Thanks for showing us this lovely are with these caches.

Headed out west with Geoturtle37 to attend a cito and to do a bit of scooter caching. The day started with black clouds and heavy rain en route, but soon turned into sunshine, albeit a tad chilly.

Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Benjamin Screamer

Lovely cache again. This little series is just like christmas, unwrapping each present is a new pleasure.

The Trip

I think the stars have finally aligned for a two night trip, caching and camping along the Great Dividing Range. It seems that every time i have planned a caching trip in the last six months something has come up to thwart my plans or cut my trip short. I have high hopes that this week it will be perfect.

I started at Moorabool Reservoir and will be collecting caches from there in the direction of Riddells Creek although i have a lot to find so am unlikely to make it that far. The weather is glorious and there is a cool lilt in the air which makes for a pleasant change from home, and the shady forests are vibrant.

Champagne caching!

Find #2947 for me. Found at 12:43 pm with my dog Bonnie after attending the Intervening Days event in Melton. This was another quick find for us. The cache was in excellent condition, but for some reason there was only one small swap left inside this one. Being a Christmas-themed cache that just didn't seem right, so I returned to the car to grab some more swaps to add to it. Thanks for the fun series and the cache Benjamin Screamer!

*Cache find # 13882.*

I had headed to Melton today to attend the Intervening Days (Revisited) XIV event but with a bit of time up my sleeve, I decided to go a little bit further North to find a few other caches in the area, this being one of them.

**Thanks to Benjamin Screamer for placing this cache.**

Decided to take a Christmas trip through the years along this long dirt road. Judging by the length of it, you've got another 20 + on it. I look forward to starting a tradition of returning every christmas to nab the next iteration.
I'm continuing to enjoy all the hiding spots you seem to find and I'm honestly blessed to have these long arms of mine.
6 quick park and grabs for all the years but I found myself chilling out at times admiring how beautiful this part of greater Melton is. Would love myself to have a property out here one day.
Thanks BenjaminScreamer.

We have arrived in Melbourne to attend the MEGA Event at Whittlesea, so of course we came over a few days before to do some geocaching first!
woolwood9 and I had a good time and this was a cache we located.
This area had seen a lot of rain, all the grass was wet and some large areas of flooding.
Very wet near this one!

I don’t like putting my hands in places like this but luckily there was a tool nearby that helped my get what I was seeking. After ascertaining that there was nothing else in there I managed to return cache with signed log book to its hiding spot. TFTC

A quick find on this geocache this morning. Very wet out here this morning, but the cache was all dry in its hiding place.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.

On the way back to pickup the caravan now and grabbing odd geocaches as I pass.
