Out for a short walk along a stretch of the Hatea Ive not visited before.Hmm, should I go down from above or up from below?I went up from below as thats where I was standing when I spotted the flat bottom in question. A quick find after that. Thanks KamoRangers#5231Logged using Cachly.
Checked on this cache today whilst I was in the area on a GirlGuiding camp, the cache had a little 'cache creep' so it has been moved to its original location and is looking good.
it took us surprisingly longer than expected because our GPS was all over the place we often have been to whangrei, but had never been at this location before! Getting hungry now, so leaving, but will definitely come back!!
Found it on a bush walk. Up in Whangrei for a trip. Great cache Found with the cuzzies, credits to kale
TFTC! Nothing apart from the log in here so left 50 Pesos that we found in another cache! Duck Caches - #29
Great hiding spot. There is an unending supply of flat bottomed rocks. Nearly gave up lol. Find number 3
11:00 After reading some logs, I was afraid the cache would be gone ore damaged, but it was in good shape!

This was as far as we got in our walk down the valley today. All the tracks are closed with storm damage.
We have replaced the cache container, now a camo container. Hint : rock flat bottom, under
I am one of the Kamo Guide Club leaders and Olies mum, Yvettetb and I will check it out in the next week and replace it.
Possibly been removed? Lost? If someone else finds this we would love to know so we can have another crack at it
I thought I gave this one a fairly good go but I eventually had to call off the search as I had another commitment to attend to.
Still can't find this one. Looked all around the rock in the image attached. Nothing.
On the way back after our short walk and me and the twins diverted up the side path. There was another searcher nearby, nice to meet you, and after checking a few places we got lucky and made the find. Nicely decorated container here, nice one. All good and replaced as found.
(Full) day 2 and a meet up with Ed and his partner and the kids at Mair Park. We'd not been there before so was a nice new place to explore and we had a picnic lunch afterwards whilst the kids enjoyed the park facilities. Not too hot, and not too cold. Just like the Goldilocks' porridge, just right (for caching)
A long weekend in Northland and a nice catch up with our son and his family. We had 4 days and 3 nights staying at Ngunguru in the works bach and although caching wasn't high on the list we still had a couple of trips out and found a few, thanks to all COs. It's been a couple of months since we last saw little Hayes, our 16tth grandchild, so was good to see how much he'd grown.

Took a bit of hunting but found the stars and rainbow thanks to meeting others who confirmed it still existed. TFTC
Nice little cache to find out at mair park easy to find once you know what you're looking for. Cheers!
This is my first geocache. Thank you for making it a fun and worthwhile experience.
You are the change.

Tried all the rocks that fitted the description on two separate occasions but found nothing.
Found with JoannaUK and a whole bunch of mossies. Had to check a few rocks before we found it, lucky the whole tribe was here with extras so we were quick! TFTC
Out for a walk in Mair Park and decided to grab this cache wile here with the kids. Checked a couple of options at GZ and found the cache. Signed and replaced. TFTC
1359. 9:30 am. A spot where you really have to be on the watch for muggles. TFT(Mair Park)C.
Out for a lunch time walk and called into the park to have a look for this cache. Once my phone started to behave, I soon had the right rock located and a cache in hand. Great spot for a cache. TFTC
When this cache was published Pete messaged me asking if I wanted to join him for the first to find hunt. Unfortunately I was at work so I couldn't make it.
I had a bit of spare time before work the other day so I popped down here to suss out this hide. A muggle was enjoying this lovely little dell so that was the end of that. I then wandered along to the Deveron Reserve. Again I was thwarted by muggles. I didn't want to head off track to the other cache so I just had an exploratory walk. Nice to see the lovely young Kauri trees there. Surprisingly I'd never seen them before despite visiting Mair Park many, many times over the years.
I'm working on filling in my calendar days and today I had no cache, so here I am. There wasn't much parking today but luckily there were no muggles near gz today. I quickly spotted the big flattish rock and made a quick find. Thanks for the hide

Thank you girls, there are lots of funny shaped rocks here aren't there and so many up the hill slope.
Thanks girls for hiding this cache, we had fun finding it with Nessvab & Toby (Olies little brother).
2nd to find at 6.30pm with Yvettetb and Toby (Olies little brother). Watch out for the mozzies they were huge. Thanks for the great hide girls, we enjoyed our stroll.
