Being back in the area of Auckland and having some muggle friends with me I opted about for a nice (loooong) walk, and they joined me they seemed a bit exhausted after some hours so off we went to waiheke island to visit some vineyards Well foundTftc
A quick find here, which was good as its a lot later in the day than I expected. TFTC
( ) Well, I have my cache for the day, from one I did in Clevedon, but it's been a while since I've been over this way to Maraetai, let's get a a few caches to make it worth the flamin' expensive petrol to get here. I have use of my sister's car while she and hubby are away in USA, they return in 2 days.( ) I parked up and walked across the field in an easterly direction to GZ, was expecting the grass to be quite wet here, but naah. Got to the first fence, and hmmm... GZ is still over 'there'. Bugger, so I managed to make the picket fence part company with a few pickets it didn't really need and with some gymnastics skills I have developed over the years thru necessity, thrust myself thru the gap. Then a jump over the next fence and viola! Exercise done for the day, signed in and.... oh yea, forgot... exercise not over, I still have to return the way I ventured...all good here today Steve, cache going strong.
We are staying just beside this cache, so after unpacking and viewing the stunning sunset it was a quick diversion to here. TFTC all good here.
Not so easy to get to, but a straight forward find.
Thanks for hiding and maintaining.

It turned out to be a nice day so it was time to visit the Far East, that is, of Auckland.
I agree with you, it's a strainer.
Cheers for the cache, Stevecoxnz.

Nice day for fish and chips on the beach and for collecting a few caches. This was a nice quick find . TFTC.
Out and about on the first day of Daylights savings on a stunning day. There was a huge gathering of people across from gz, but we were far away enough from them so that they could not see us or what we were up to.
After parking at the carpark, we soon discovered the trailhead and were at gz in no time. A nice quick find here, and we were back in the car continuing on our adventure. TFTC

We have only explored a small portion of Duders Regional Park before today, but that is about to change. We parked at the coastal carpark this morning and wandered over to this strainer. Dude, there's a cache here. Thanks.
Down this way so thought I would do this one!
Stupidly I didn't notice the waypoint on the map and parked up North Road and wandered across.
Surprised a beautiful Wood Pigeon in a tree as I was approaching the cache near GZ.
Thanks for this...All good here.

Approached this one from the wrong direction and ended up having to climb over a couple of fences in pursuit of this hide. Thankfully it was quickly located and I squelched my way back to the van. TFTC

My last cache today. We used the trailhead wp so didn't have to climb over any fences and once at gz we made a nice quick find
Nice quick find here...last one of the day...Out with Merlot58 who navigated to the right spot .
Don't know if I found this one the easiest way but felt like I was trespassing. Beware of barbed wire too
Nice easy find, all intact. Amazing how dead the grass in the field looks. Killed a other dot day. Will.continue the maraitai coast getting numbers up
FINALLY we get to attend the MEGA. Attending as part of Team BoP. We have a load of solved puzzles and whilst we are concentrating on those, won’t pass up on trads either.
Came round this way fa look and got this one. All good here.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Up in Auckland for the mega with Philip.Perry and McJandals. Left home at 0300 over the hill to Tauranga to pick up the others in Auckland by 6am. Only plans today are to attend Mega sign log there then follow the map to get as many caches as possible. Signed logs TeamBOP.
we have had plans of coming to Duders and collecting then all hopefully in a day.
Best plans don't always work out.
weather has been very good but to hot to spend hours in, so plan was a few today and tomorrow.
collect what we can before mega.
terrain not the easiest to navigate.
we struggle with some caches and some fairly straight forward.
thanks to the owners for placements.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… On a pre-Mega mission… It was far too hot to be wandering around in the sun. We put off caching for the late afternoon and headed back to Duder Regional Park for another go…
We couldn’t head for home without giving this cache a try. A quick find - Thanks stevecoxnz and TFTC.

Sorry for the late log but with found a number of these quite some time ago and are now only just logging. This was a bit tricky as initially we were looking at the wrong one and had to relocate. Got it in the end
We parked near the main road and walked towards GZ but when we had about 8 metres to go we realised this was probably not the best way to approach the cache as there was not one but two barbed wire fences in our way.
Mr Coblet is the tallest so very carefully climbed over and managed to grab the cache without incident before very carefully heading back. Phew.
Thanks stevecocnz for adding a bit of adventure to the end of our day.

Another early morning start. We were up early as we were going for a walk in the Hunua's so got ourselves ready quicker than normal and headed to GZ, was very familiar with this area after another hide in the immediate vicinity had to be archived due to building demolishing.
Mrs NZT scolded me for driving past the "closest" parking spot so I had to do a U Turn and park on the corner intersection.
We decamped and followed the arrow to GZ, then discovered that we had to climb fences to get to GZ.... all of a sudden my parking idea seemed a lot more logical.... (Please no one tell Mrs NZT I said that and I am hoping she doesn't read the log)
As I had the longest legs I had to climb the fence and get to GZ. As I was walking in the long grass something scurried through the undergrowth, not sure what it was, it just seemed long.. either a stoat or a quail.
The cache find was an easy. I found that the cache container was the same container used in the recently archived cache which I had FTF'd as well. Therefore the first 2 signatures are BOTH NZT... I did add the new cache GC number to the log paper.
Thanks for replacing this cache Stevecoxnz.
