Work still going on at GZ so I will look for somewhere else to set up a cache. A pity. Thank you all who enjoyed finding the cache.
GeoGrandKids(GGKs) have repainted the cache and added lots more little swaps so the cache is all ready to go BUT.....the landscapers at GZ are **S...O______S...L...O...W**. At least when they found the cache inadvertently, they looked after it so I could retrieve it. Hopefully with the next update, I will be able to report it is back in action.
Cache temporarily removed while gardening and maintenance work is being carried out at GZ. Cockatoo 2 will be back as soon as the works are completed.
Found at 10:40Out picking up kids from a party in the area and stopped in for a nice quick find. I love the nice quiet area. Luckily for me no muggles on the playground this morning. Thanks GeePy for the cache
Found with icw. I didn't see any Cockatoos here, but had noticed two Eastern rosellas across the road in Eastfield Park. Tftc.
A nice quick and easy find on a beautiful sunny afternoon stroll around the park. Thanks for the cache
A lovely peaceful park. Easy find. The fresh dirt on the sides of the track is very very soft
After visiting BernieH today I swung past this cache for a quick find before heading home. Fortunately it was just before school finished so the nearby park was empty. Thanks GeePy for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------The 12 Days of Cachemas series is now live. I haven't been out this way very much, so I headed to the Library event, then further afield. Thankfully there were no muggles around, so it was a nice quick find.
My thanks to GeePy for the cache.
My thanks to GeePy for the cache.
Left my walk a bit late again tonight so it ended up being in the dark once again, and once again it’s another cold one.
I took the long route to this cache today and found the nearby streets and walkways pretty interesting, such as a now unused street connected to a nearby park that looks like it was once used as a carpark. Now it’s overgrown and doesn’t look like it’s seen any tires on it in quite a long time.
Once I arrived at GZ it was a nice quick find, log signed and replaced as found.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.

Although I’m a past life I spent many hours amongst these streets, I never knew of this little park. With the gloomy and wet weather, it was super quiet here today and so made for a quick find. Thanks for the cache.

I’m really enjoying going for a walk this afternoon. I was lucky enough to knock off work early so I thought I’ll go for a few geocaches in my local area. Thanks for placing
A nice sunny afternoon, perfect weather for caching. Never new this park existed.
Dropped of a TB . Thanks GeePy

Finally doing some caching with day1976, the last lot of caching for the year. As I only had an afternoon free, we kept the caching fairly local to my area.
Just saw a dog in a pink tutu, then we found a cockatoo 2.

This cache was found on an enjoyable day caching with ilukaperi. It would be our last caching day for 2022. Hope to have many more in 2023. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. Sorry for the generic log.
Staying at the hotel near and had a bit of a wandering around the area

Grabbed this one by torchlight which made it a bit more difficult, but otherwise a great quick grab! Thanks GeePy.
This was a nice quick find. Surprisingly there was no one at the playground in this lovely sunny day! Tftc
Out caching today with RedcbBluebm, and Pilot the wonder dog, we parked the car and set off on foot to locate the cache. We ended up walking much further than necessary, following a roundabout route. I recognised the location from a visit to a previous hide in the area.
Thank you GeePy.
Thank you GeePy.
Out today again with Crustyvarmint and Pilot and in the mood for walking...and walking we did! Found this one pretty quick smart. Thanks GeePy
TFTC.. nice quick little find, was out in the open, so I rehid it under some bark there.
A overcast Tuesday, a calendar hole and a need to cycle out of the rain!
This was the second for the day and spot on coords took me straight to the cache! The cockies were noisy today!

On my way home from work and made a slight out-of-my-way detour to find this cache. My kids would love to have this park close by!
Enjoying a public holiday weekend to gather my last few 5km zone caches. Hoping I don’t need to save them any more.
After an appointment in Lilydale, I took advantage of the improved weather to search for a few localish caches.
Yet another little reserve I didn't know existed. A quick find with the hint.

A friend encouraged me to find one today for a souvenir purpose; I am glad to have a good friend to support me while I am busy.
Thanks to GeePy for the cache.

We have the grand kids for a few days so grabbing a couple of caches with them. GT37 is attempting to get them hooked and I must say, they are both very happy with making this find. Thanks for the cache.
Such a shame it is so hot at the moment as the grandies are enjoying looking for and finding caches. Thanks for placing this one for them to find.
Last one for the day, we were tired so it was good that this cache was found speedily. Thirty-one caches with one DNF for the day, excellent work.
Out with BoabTree, we had a very successful day caching in the Croydon area.
This was our last cache for the day, and we were tired as we had been caching for nine hours . I love the beautiful gum trees here. Thanks GeePy.

The gums are shedding their bark at the moment so there is no shortage! Thanks GeePy.

An early morning walk and the nice air after the rain plus this great mature cut through parkland made a great start to the day. Plus the cache find in perfect condition.
Thanks to GeePy for the placement and fun.

Out on an evening hike with Trailstevo. Just sneaking in another 11km to make sure I can continue to work my way through the remaining naughty Christmas food! Thanks for the adventure and hide.
Evening walk with Gunks to clean up some of the Croydon area. 11km in total and some hills. I chose the wrong one, fortunately Gunks did not. TFTC
Quick find. I was having a down/stuck day at home and heading out for this helped a lot!

Arriving at GZ we started our search - the GPSr devices took a little while to settle and we eventually found the cache although the found location didn't quite match the map. THanks to GeePy for the cache.
Found at 7:24 pm.
With a little spare time tonight I headed out to try and keep in front of my caching buddy Fleabag- on the race to reach the next mountain peak souvenir.
A nice quick find here on arrival. It’s nice tonight being cold it keeps the muggles indoors.
Thanks GeePy for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

The rest of the family were at a birthday party so I made the most of the opportunity to go caching! I've cached here in the past though those have long since been archived. I enjoyed my wander and this one did not present any issues. TFTC GeePy
If they were meant to be found in sequence I got that wrong but it was the first on a quick Sunday afternoon cache run. tftc

Spare hour to kill before dinner. Easy find with segull_lad. Nice quiet area. TFTC.
I found this cache today on my Wednesday Morning Croydon Cache Caper - The Sequel. Even though Cockatoo 1 had been up for 8 months, of course #2 would come out the day after I find it. Some other new caches around the area gave me a good excuse to come back. You can release #3 tomorrow. Our 1st find in this park and our 184th 3TF. Thanks from D B-A

A busy day at work in this beautiful sunshine meant that a nanna nap on the couch was necessary when I got home. After snoozing my alarm a couple of times I decided it was time to get up and had a look at my emails. Oooh a cache was published 14 minutes ago! Let's see where it is... oh dear it's a 25 minute drive away. The other two published at the same time were 30 mins, so I decided this was the one to go for!
I grabbed the dogs, filled up our water bottles and chucked everything in the car. The drive here was filled with me repeating to myself that even if the FTF is gone by the time I get there it's the hunt that is the prize. That mantra was quickly thrown out the window when I parked the car and saw the activity page still only had the publish log! The dogs and I ran into the park and checked a few likely spots before the GPS settled and we found its hiding spot.
Just as I opened the cache a quarter of the lovely team pnja rounded the corner and laughed as they saw me tangled in dog leads attempting to write in the logbook! This was my first meeting of a geocacher in the wild and I was very glad to have a wonderful chat as we wrote in the logbook. The geohounds were also grateful for the many pats and for making a new friend!
Thanks for my second ever [FTF], it was lots of fun and well worth the drive!

Found it seconds too late!
I had just come off a successful FTF not far from this one so thought I may as well try my luck. It has been published a while now so I knew my chances were slim, but they weren’t as slim as I thought. As I reached the path I spied someone at GZ crouched down being circled by dogs. I knew she was okay from the look on her face, it was like being caught snooping for Christmas presents followed by a sheepish grin. After some detangling I grabbed the loose dog lead so the log could be signed as FTF a little easier by the deserving finder. Happy to settle for second on this cache. Congrats on your FTF alissahgrace. TFTC
