Juzzmagic** here with **Crustyvarmint**, having an absolute blast in this beautiful spot! Sunny day, lots of activity, and Sonics caches making us smile with their variety. Thanks for bringing us here!
Enjoying a ride along the trail with Team Juzzmagic today, we managed to find all but one of the caches we had planned to find. I wasnt expecting such a lovely trail, and plenty of others seemed to be appreciating it too.Ron found this one quickly while I was hunting a little further away. Thanks for hiding this series, Sonic. A job well done, and much appreciated.
Last spot I wouldve checked there are lots of possibilities for this cash switched out a pin for a keychain Spoiler photo
Second find for the day out walking with GeoBrother. Cache all good, fun and dandy here. Thanks for the hide, the hunt and the fun.
Thanks sonic_ for such an enjoyable series. All 16 found today without any trouble. I really liked the variety of placements and cache types, with some clever hides to keep you on your toes. I parked at Diamond Creek shops then made my way to the last bridge before quick footing it back before a storm passed through. Muggle factor was high today, but not too difficult to retrieve caches between cyclists and walkers. I replaced log sheets and ziplocks on about 4-5 soggy ones that were not signable. *BEWARE of the snake* Surprised to see a wriggle stick at this time of year. Not sure if it has taken up residence in the tree, but best to be cautious. Came slithering out of the bark less than a metre away from me as I was signing the log sheet.
Attended the sidetrack anniversary meet up at Diamond Creek so and while I was in the area I headed out with BackPAQer to grab a few nearby caches. We got out the scooters and did the trail. What a great day to be out and about caching, sun is shining and the temperature is perfect. Thanks for the cache and the hideLog book has been signed and returnedFind #2884
Had a seat while the geo kid took a look and signed found easily in good condition
Seeing as it is Easter and almost all schools have started their school holidays I thought now was an opportune time to travel from the south-eastern suburbs to the northern suburbs for some days of caching. Normally it is such a pain in the behind given the numerous choke-points along the route.Traffic flowed well and I arrived at the start of this half of the DCT trail in roughly fifty minutes. It had been some time since I had combined caching and walking for exercise purposes so although I'd like to complete this half of the trail today and potentially walk the other half tomorrow I wasn't sure whether I'd be up for all or even a part of it. As it happened, I did manage to complete this half of the trail today bar one cache that I wasn't willing to risk the chance of injury to get to GZ. I'll be back for it once I'm less gravitationally challenged. The format of these logs will take the form of a template blurb applying to the trail as a whole, then any relevant comments regarding the individual cache below, with the top blurb separated by a few dashes. Many thanks to the CO for going to the trouble of putting these out. I'd imagine there were two to three rides involved before all of them were in place.---The last cache for the day. Thankfully it was an easy find because after walking all of that distance my feet were beginning to make themselves known. I'll (hopefully) be back for the other half tomorrow. Oh, I should really attach a photo of the most relaxed magpie (I think) who was just soaking up the sun on the ground and just let me take its photo.
Currently trying to finish the year with a streak and so heading out daily, for a cache. Plus their are a few other caches I need for challenges. Today I was out on a ride with a mate and we were going past a few caches. So l while he sat in the shade and researched cafes, I found the caches. One eye out for snakes and all found okay. Thanks to sonic___ for the fun and the adventure.
Decided to walk this trail to grab a few caches whilst I had the day off and in the Wattle Glen area. Big old tree and a quick and easy find. TFTC
This is indeed a huge beautiful tree! Wow!
Cache found with no trouble. TFTC!

Almost made this cache harder to find by searching for the wrong spot. Nice walk. The sun is starting to shine and warm up this winter day.
Quick find after seeing the previous two caches in the process of retrieval when I came round the bend unexpectedly. Tftc!

I headed out today with biggles1024, we were after the virtual at Kangaroo Ground but our timing could not have been any better if we were going there for the ANZAC day ceremony, the thing was we were there for the virtual, so we headed over to do some of this series to fill in some time before heading back to Kangaroo Ground.
After reaching the Northern end, we made our way back to this one before heading back to KG.
**Thanks to sonic___ for placing this cache.**

**Find #5349**
**Traditional Find #3171**
Tuesday and its ANZAC Day. Steve and I headed for a T5.0 and a few other caches. The weather was perfect. Blue sky, sun and warmth and no wind.
We'd arrived at another location just as a service was about to start. We had expected the service to have been conducted just after dawn. We couldn't do what we wanted to do at that time, so came here to make a start on this series.
I met more geocachers along this trail than I ever have except for events. Everyone was enjoying themselves and the hides were in logical places.

Found it! Last one for the evening! This was a quick find. We sat on the nearby seat to sign the log sheet and enjoy the ambience of the evening. Took the waiting TB to go on a short adventure. Replaced the cache and then walked on to meet Muggle Wen who was waiting in the car at the end of the trail. Muggle Heather and I enjoyed our evening walked and cache hunt. We will be back another time to finish the trail. TFTC SL
Happy to report that this cache is well and truly still here, and very discoverable. Left a TB, TFTC
Found by Aussie Train Driver 17/04/2023, find number 1659.
This one was another quick find with the extended family. The cache is in good condition and we picked up the TB to continue it's travels. TFTC!

Don't think it's here. Found an old football a few metres from the tree but no cache
Great find, fun for kids (and dogs) left the trackable for a more experienced geocacher
Introduced a friend to geocaching this morning and by chance this was her first find but she didn't have a pen so conveniently signed the log for her. Nice easy find on a gorgeous day trying to get to our 500th this was 492 TFTC.
Cache one on this trail. Amazed by how gorgeous the track is. Brilliant bike riding. TFTC.
I went for a drive out to St Amdrews to do the new adventure lab that started out there and I also needed a puzzle for today's calendar.
After that I slowly made my way back towards the city doing the ad lab and looking for some trads along the way and this was one of them.
I deployed the scooter along here and made finds of the 2 that had popped up since last time I was here.
Thanks sonic___ for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

Very interesting location. OHC had this found before Mrs Papi even got to GZ. Thanks for the cache.
Interesting tree. How magnificent.

Team Gruidae and I were on our way to the Whittlesea MEGA and stopped here to grab a pair of quick finds in between the awful weather. A quick stroll and we had this one in hand. TFTC sonic__
We needed 5 cache finds in the Nillumbik LGA so we decided to to look for the caches along this section of the of the Diamond Creek Trail. It was very busy today with a continuous stream of walkers with or without dogs, mums with prams and cyclists. Judging the breaks between muggles was difficult at times.
This hide made retrieval easy as it was out of sight of passing muggles. Loved the hide, simple but very effective.
Thanks for this cache sonic. Container and contents were in very good condition.

After a great day out caching this one on the DCT was the last, I'm still amazed how much water we had during the rains and how little damage was done to this track. Except for a couple of caches lost you have done very well in placing your caches for us to find Thank you sonic for your efforts in our great hobby. I hope the end of the track is open.

Doing a maintenance run on my caches after the recent floods. This one has survived although it would’ve been at least 1 m under the water and the container only had a few drops of water inside.
We started from the other end just over 12 months ago. Time to complete this section of DCT. TFTC
I came to add another SideTracked cache to my finds and after finding that, took a walk to this cache to stretch my legs. Headed north back to Canberra after travelling around Australia for several months. If I visit Melbourne sometime in the future, I can see an outing here. Catch the train to one of the stations and walk to the other, finding all these caches on the way. Would be a lovely outing. TFTC sonic___
Great to walk on this new pathway- will have to bring my wife here in her wheelchair as it looks good for disability people to use and I can find the other caches along here with her sometime soon- my TBs paid a visit:
Awesome day in the winter sunshine. Burgers in Hurstbridge and a casual ride back to Diamond Creek.
