Caching with Team Welsh up north today, and we stopped by here for Mao Mao Fishing. After a bit of a search the cache hide was spotted and was just as we expected. TFTC.
Another park and grab along the way and we were grateful for the shade here. Soon figured out how it was going to be hidden, so once found, signed and replaced we were back on the road again. TFTC
2176. I was expecting something blue. GPS coordinates were spot on - only wished I didn't trust my instinct first and searched wider. FP. TFT(fishing)C.
Third time back to this bridge. I finally caught a MauMau. In my youth I caught many on a line from this coastline.
Today we are April Fools Day caching so here is a riddle:
What runs from front to rear on one side of the ship, and from rear to front on the other side?
——————????!!!——————-
???????————————??????!
The ship’s name of course
Thanks for the catch

Nothing in the description to help, so guessed the likely spot and found quickly. Thanks.
Soon had this one landed and unhooked and returned as it was undersized, but not undersigned!
A few more pre-xmas days up in Northland visiting my son and his family were a few days well spent. We stayed in the works bach at Ngunguru yet again and had a nice time, as usual. There was a very small amount of time for caching, nothing like previous visits, and enough time for a few finds. Glad to see some new ones near the bach from 0B80B8 and managed a pre-breakfast rain one day. Thanks to all COs as always.

Went fishing and caught a big one.
Had a muggles dog come over and check me out, they were off down to the beach for some fun.
Thanks for the hide caching in between the showers

Back up home in Northland for a few days, so I took a drive out around the Tutukaka Coast to check on my caches and find some of the newer caches out this way. A nice easy park and grab here... spotted the cache shining amongst the leaf litter. TFTC!
I've been back a second time without hooking the MaoMao. Really has me puzzled the GPS is so precise and others say it is easy. Grrr.
Found really quickly for a speedy P&G. Laughed when oldest child tried to clamber through bush when it wasn’t needed. Fishing line to the rescue.
Quick tag and release. Greg almost strained a muscle while climbing (unnecessarily) over the fence!
Such a treat to find all these newish caches so near my accomodation!
All in pristine condition ....
Thanks!

[FTF] 12.45pm Was out this way with kids when these caches popped up. Fortunately we were up high and didn't have to worry about tsunami or surge threats. Bit of an unusual day today with the constant treat of a Tsunami over us. These caches also up high so made the decision to head over. Within 20min of them popping up we got to the first cache. Nicely positioned pull off at GZ. This cache with the hint was found quite quickly. Another blank log yay. Signed and replaced. TFTC
