I decided to stop in to collect this one on my way home after visiting family for a few days. After a brief search and a scratched leg, I found the cache and signed the log.
I have travelled along here many times and keep forgetting about this cache. Well not today. The lockdowns were certainly horrible and luckily being regional they did not affect me greatly. Thanks templetonteam for the placement.
1st stop for the day as I headed up to Mt Macedon for the event. No issues at all and the cache was soon in hand and the log signed. Many thanks templetonteam...cache all good.
Geoturtle37, Mrs Crackers (Mr Crackers joined us later), Posums and myself all set off to find some caches on our way to the next event. This was our travel limit for the day as we needed to start heading north towards the next event. Met up with Sonic____ in the drizzle so didn't have much chance to have a chat. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
We had a fantastic time at last years event crawl so there was no way known that we were going to miss this one, even though only half the team made the first leg.Mrs Crackers was kindly given a lift by Papi4506 & Geoturtle37 and we were joined by Posums. It rained for most of the day so we chose caches to look for that weren't too far from the car if we could. We found a variety of different types and hides and had a very enjoyable time in between events. This was another quick find between showers, the cache was found and our names were added to the log before returning it as foundThanks for placing this cache.
Found with Papi, Team Crackers, Geoturtle and Possums. Thank you templetonteam for placing and maintaining Travel Limit#1 for us to find today.
The first day of The Great Victorian Cache Crawl 2024 and 2 days of fun and laughs has started. After the breakfast event in Sunbury I gained a front seat passenger for the day and the dog and possum that usually occupy the front seat were not happy about the relegation to the back seat.We are heading north and we started looking for caches that jumped out on us or looked interesting in the time we had before arriving at the next event. We are hoping the rain disappears soon or hopefully its going to a quick park and fond kind of day. This was a our travel limit heading west today as we need to start heading north and we met up with sonic___ at this cache as well. Thanks templetonteam TFTC.
a strange one - went searching and initially all i found was broken, empty booze bottles and a syringe. searched wider and found cache sorry not my fave caching experienceYes, lockdown was challenging
On the way home from the Gisborne Markets with Cogs06. Grabbed this one on the way home.TFTC
On our way home with littlecogs from the Gisborne markets. While I headed to the obvious place little littlecogs went to the other and before I was able to resort myself she had the cache in her hand.Log was soon signed and put back in its place.TFTC
Found by caughtatwork on 16/06/2024 at 4:25:00 PMA quick find.Took nothing, left nothing. Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.*Overall Experience: 3*GAFF1
Rated: for Overall Experience
We wandered around for 10 minutes searching every nook and cranny on the obvious host without any luck! Widened our search perimeter without any luck also. Ok back to the obvious again before moving something and the cache fell down in our hands. We have no idea where it fell from but we guess it wasnt the original location. Signed and replaced in a more logical location. Thanks templetonteam for the placement.
Quick park and grab for us on journey to Canberra. Signed as Alis. Thanks for the cache templetonteam
Found with Moonb1. A nice easy one on the road. Thanks for the cache templetonteam .
It was time for another stop while on the way north today. It took a little longer than it should have but 2upoj was quite insistent as to where it was so with a little bit more concentrated searching, I was finally signing the log at 15:15.TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had to mark the occasion. Thanks templetonteam
Stopped by to grab this on my way home from Bacchus Marsh today. I haven't travelled this road in about a year and was hoping the road had been repaired.. most of it has. Anyway, cache is in good condition. TNLN. TFTC
I had nothing to do today, the last day of the year, and with the weather great I decided to head out Gisborne way to hunt some long solved puzzles, and ancient multi and anything else that looked good on the way, this one I was passing so dropped in for the hunt. Saw the turnoff easily and drove in to get close to GZ. Walked the rets of the way and had a good look around before spotting it. Thanks to templetonteam for this one.
Found by Mary and David at 15:10. A lovely day to be out caching as we make our indirect way to Beaufort for this evening's Event. Like your style. Would have liked to see more of this series. Our thanks to templetonteam.
I decided to grab this cache as I needed a find in the Macedon Ranges LGA.I successfully flew past the entrance so had to do an unholy u-turn and head back. It took a fair bit of hunting for this one. But I soon found the prize. The coordinates were spot on for me. I signed the log and returned it to its home. A great excuse for a stop. TFTC templetonteam
Took a bit of searching and using the old geo brain but found it high and dry. Nice rest spot and geeee there is so much beautiful land around. TFTC
Its amazing how an old rotten hollow sounds like a tupperware, but all i found was an old rotten hollow. Shame, its a good story though!
Beautiful view from GZ.Took a little bit of searching but finally found the sucker right where GZ said it was. Thanks for the hide.
Sorry for the very late log. I forgot to come back and finish my cache logging this day.Grand final Public Holiday and with my team the mighty Tigers not so mighty this year I had arranged with AusFox; to go out caching for the day. We thought it best to stay clear of Melbourne for the day and decided the caches around Long Forrest would be a good place to start our day. What a Beautiful day to be out caching with the sun shining it was almost too hot out here in the bush.Thank you templetonteam for the find
What a glorious day to head out caching with SimsFamily starting out at Long Forest through Gisborne and back home through Diggers finding great caches on the way.A quick find with amazing view.Log signed and replaced as found. Thanks for the traditional cache templetonteam #7,571
Our journey to North Queensland will take us through many different towns.
Here's one to find today. Thank you for placing the cache templetonteam.

I completed the nearby series of caches on foot and after doubling back to pick up the car i started on a small driving tour of the area. This was the next cache on my list, a quick find and the cache and log are fine. Thanks for the fun.
My Day
After a busy month in July fulfilling the twenty eight day streak challenge and collecting the gold souvenir i took a break this month. But after two and a half weeks without a find i was champing at the bit, ready to get out there again.
Today i had to travel to Gisborne on other business which wouldnt take too long so i decided to add a bit of caching to the plan. Once my meeting was wrapped up i headed out for a little cache tour of the town and nearby areas. The weather was fine, the bush full of beautifully flowering wattle and the geopooch and i were both loving it. In the end we found eleven caches with one DNF and two Did Not Attempts. A great day thanks to all the COs.

Nice quick drive from home for this one. I wasn’t sure if my car would make it up the trail, so o parked and walked up on foot. Nice easy find once at GZ.

Thanks for the cache.
Found this afternoon with Mrs deshut on our way home from a quilt retreat in Gisborne. I think we made it a lot harder than we needed to . Thank goodness we no longer have lockdown!! Many thanks for the cache.
I had a number of plans for today's geocaching run. They included :-
20 caches in Macedon Ranges LGA.
12+ caches in Moorabool LGA.
12+ caches in Melton LGA.
CITO, Event and Tree Attribute in new LGA.
2002 old geocache.
And most importantly - Geodetic Survey Way Point.
Not sure about Melton & Moorabool LGA numbers, will have to recheck LGA borders but had a great day with 41 finds in total, in lots of different environments. Highlight would have to be Mt Macedon.
Wow, that took too long, extremely well hidden.
Thanks for the cache Templeton Team

It was a little bit of sun but cold this morning when we found this cache. The wind was chilly too.
A nice hide.

Nice quick easy finder. On our way to Ballarat. Someone came up the idea to go and do the Ballarat Geo tour️
We were heading back to Gisbourne after locating the "Wombat Forest Stash" cache and as this one was literally a drive-by we branched of the road onto the track, parked close to the GZ and then went looking for the cache, which we found obviously.

Find # 7,963 for me on 24 Apr 2023 at 11:50 am.
Found while on a maintenance visit in the area.
Nicely hidden, but the cache is a micro, not a small.
Thanks templetonteam, for giving back to the game.

**Found whilst heading to Bendigo for the day** The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more than a mint tin under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be. I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. Thank you templetonteam for highlighting this area and for adding this Earth Cache to my real-life treasure hunt. Appreciate your efforts and the lessons learnt. - P*Took*: Nothing*Left*: Nothing**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Cache on! **#18510**(Apologies for the late log)
Such a novelty to have accurate GPS so this was a nice quick find prior to collecting my teenager. Hopefully we never return to lockdown rules. Many thanks
On our way home from visiting by aunt and uncle who live at Bullengarook we pull over on the side of the road so that I could find this cache. My son and my mother stayed in the car after seeing the large fallen tree that was blocking our walk to the cache. I was able to navigate my way and after a short search I located the log.
Thank you templetonteam for showing me the limit to your COVID 5km zone. My family also extensively explored our 5km zone when we had the limit imposed.

TFTC. Another cache, another day as we mark time before we can head north to Maryborough Qld. A quick find here. Should have had the thermos with us.
Traveling to Whittlesea for the mega this weekend,
and picked up a few caches in between heavy rain.
A tough find in the long grass.
Cache found in good condition. Signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, templetonteam, for us and others to find.

This is as close as I got to Gisborne today, my old town of 22 years.
A good place to pull off the road.
Accurate coordinates got the job done fast.
Thanks Templeton team.

Had a lovely day in Gisborne - found this well placed cache on the way home. TFTC
Chook travelled from Beaufort to Riddells Creek to spend a couple of days with her good friend Wendy. Stopped by this one on the way. This was our old stomping ground, and we used to ride the horses around here when we lived in Bullengarook. So many memories. TFTC templetonteam.
Tricky little hiding place, good co-ords thanks for the cache . We enjoyed the hunt on our way to Gisborne

Some people certainly got creative during the Covid lockdowns - gave us a smiley to add to our map today.
Thanks to templetonteam for placing caches for interesting reasons.

Last one on the way home from a weekend in Kyneton. Quick stop and find. Thanks for placing this here.
Whilst waiting to take mum back to the Dr after a fire alert shut the Medical Centre, thought I'd take her for a quick drive out the bush...oooh... and find a cache whine I'm here. Nice little spot with a lovely view of the Mount
In Wangaratta for a few days caching with my very good caching mate from Bacchus Marsh 6Hinemoa2 and great caching friend from Adelaide and his mate the Blackadders.
Due to COVID lockdowns and other problems this trip has been postponed a number of times but we are finally going. Once in the area we put 3B6 or Bushfire in our logs to save space.
With so many caches found I have to use the cut and paste method as we found so many great caches from so many different cachers, so a big thank you to all those folk.
Called in here on our way home today for a quick find. Thanks.
