Thanks for your amazing cache Geckoh . I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Found with Fisha1288 Cheers, Cympull.
Bamboo and flax strike fear into our hearts at the best of times, so the potential combo of both was a wee bit scary. However our fears were quickly quashed and we made nice quick work of this one. Awesome camo. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit & doing the things that we want to do we are currently parked up at the Welcome Bay (Tauranga) NZMCA Campsite we decided that we would take our bikes out to the Kaituna Wetland & park up there ride from there to Papamoa & back, have some lunch then walk the Kaituna Wetland Track the cache was easily found, log book completed & replaced had to be a bit careful with lots of muggle cyclists zipping past on a regular basis pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #4,733 for us!
Heading north with tmann421 for a few days. This was day three with plenty of miles for us to cover.Enjoyed the hide hereGreat trail along hereSigned log tm/ww NZTFTC
Good find with woolwood9 on a few days away.*This was the main area for us today - we got a shock with the signs at start (or finish) by P2P 25 where there were barriers and signs saying cycleway CLOSED. However detour took us to access near P2P 11 so we started there. Track is blocked off heading towards the higher number caches on the trail as well.*We enjoyed the trail and good caches for us to visit!SL *tm/ww NZ*Thanks for the cache.
TFTC - searching for thesehas made our long bike ride a lot longer but the kids have loved it!
Have been meaning to tackle these two series for ages, and was hoping to knock them off before the end of 2023 to hit our 500, but just didn't quite get there. So, did the next best thing and hit them up on the first day of 2024 instead!13th find for the day today, and our milestone 500! Great camo again - loving these cache containers and all the variety! Thanks for the placement. Really glad to have this turned into a smiley.
Out and about with the shoesbs.Another nice quick, easy, find, sign, and flee.TFTC
I have taken the advice of the CO and taken a “woman’s look” and of course, there it was right in front of my eyes. (I also noted some rubbish that needs to be taken out and the grass looking a little long so I have quickly reverted to my natural man looking as it suits me better). TFTC and a FP.
Checked on this one whilst in the area, and its definitely there - may need to have a "womans look"
Not saying it’s not here, just that I did not find it within the time I gave myself. I had a very good idea of what I was looking for given the style of the previous caches in this series. Another time!
Out on the cycle trail picking up some caches that I require for a personal challenge.
I had a bit of a job getting the cache out of its camo.
Cheers for the cache, Geckoh.

Mrs stik-a-crane spotted this nicely crafted cache .
In the area today with junior cacher and Mrs stik-a-crane for some RNR, and luckily the weather decided to play ball for the time we were visiting.
Spotted this trail and managed to lock in accommodation reasonably close by, but still decided to drive closer to the trail start......was going to park at the boat ramp, but due to recent heavy rain, that option had been flooded, and no longer an option, so went a little further down the road, set up the bikes, and set off along the trail.....
The cache was all good.

Paused for a bit to let muggles clear then went in for the grab. I liked the camo on this one!
Another great cache. Loving the caches and thanking you for all the time you and the other Co's out into this
I needed a decent bike ride today and I could not ignore this trail any longer.
Cache is a different than expected but quite cool.

With the Geotour coming to and end soon Yvettetb and I decided to go on a road trip to collect Tahi and Rua. Of course I had some puzzles at various places to collect and a few special types were added to the list too.
Today's plan was to get a few caches around Rotorua with high favourite points. We then wanted to head up to Tauranga via a few PWGT caches. As it turned out we only got one cache in Rotorua this morning as it was drizzling so we headed north to avoid the rain.
It had turned into a nice day and the cache's were fun, nicely looked after and quick finds so we decided to carry on with our walk to finish the series. A quick find here too and a nicely themed container, TFTC

While spending my summer holidays in the Bay of Plenty to the east of Opotiki, an unexpected (in a good way) text message from a mate resulted in an impromptu visit to Papamoa. With both of us being unfamiliar with the area and wanting something to do, I suggested we go geocaching. He agreed and I began the online search for local caches. This cycleway trail popped up and we decided to take a walk, attempting to find a few of the caches hidden along it. We parked at the end of Bell Road and began the short walk to the trail.
The sun continued to shine as we made our way down the cycleway to this cache. We'd been out and about for a wee while, but unfortunately, one of us had an upcoming dinner to attend to. As the next cache on this trail is a little further away, we decided we'd turn around after finding this one.
We noticed a potential hint object as we got closer to GZ. The cache was right where the hint was stating. Once we had the container in hand, we were a bit bamboozled as to how to extract the logbook. Fortunately we weren't bamboozled too long, as the logbook was soon extracted and signed. Replaced back as found, just before a friendly cycling muggle rode by. We then began the return journey to the car.
Many thanks for bringing us out here, we probably would never have known about this trail if it weren't for geocaching. I definately hope to return one day to finish the trail off.

A nice quick find. NIce container and a surprise find. Fav Point here. I found most of the caches on the trail, but not all. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland to visit family. Today we cruised from Whakatane to Cambridge.. The weather was fine and warm, and the Christmas traffic is stating to build!
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Got off work at lunchtime and headed out to enjoy the sunny winters day. Cold but not a cloud in the sky. Returned to complete this P2P series. Have driven past so many times and imagined I would return here with a bike but instead had to walk it. Still enjoyable with all the varied hides to break up the walk. Wasn’t looking forward to the flax hides however with the clear hints they were no problem. Took 2 hours to collect the remaining 18 caches. Cache and log all fine here. Nice camouflage. Thanks Geckoh for all your effort in setting up the series.
Khonig and I have been talking about doing the Papamoa to Paengaroa trail series for a while now... and with the added bonus of completing some puzzle caches along the trail we decided that today was the day. Weather was brilliant... no rain and just enough cloud to keep us from over heating. Between us we had two cars so decided to be strategic about placement of the cars so we only had to do the trail once... thank goodness because we had tired feet by the time we were finished. Thanks so much for all the caches along the trail... a very well maintained and enjoyable experience.
Brilliant cache!! Never seen one like this before but definitely hoping to find one again

Out walking the P2P trail in reverse numerical order from south to north this morning.
Speculated as to what we would find as we approached GZ, and were only half right. Thanks.

Now this was clever pity they had parted company but the log was found and signed and then placed back together as per the hint.

There are some cool containers being used on this trail. Great to see such effort put into these hides. Thanks for the placement geckoh
This nearly bamboozled me as the the camo had no contents umm back into the flax I go…phew there it was all sorted and signed in a flash…thanks Gecko thanks
Today is the day, regardless of the rain, that McJandals and I are doing this trail. Thanks for placing these caches. Yep another favorite
Cheers

Needing some fresh air and exercise after a few days if inclement weather and a break from the computer (trying to solve a geckho puzzle), teamed up with Dee+ME. Armed with our bikes and fingers crossed it won’t rain off we went.
Nice and tidy. Well done
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Logged with permission. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Well, it can be hard not to get bamboozled, especially in the flax bushes, but this one worked out like a dream. Cache is all good. TFTC
Ooooh how exciting, a new trail of caches on a cycle path, and in the direction we're going!
Having joined up with mr rattll again, we left Kawerau and headed here. Mrs rattll headed off on the bike and this time it was mr rattlls time to do the dog sitting.
This was a super quick find, but i loved the double camo
Thanks for putting all these caches on this cycleway

Finally we had a weekend free and this new trail gave us the opportunity to get back out on the bikes and dependent on the number of successful finds, also gain the final summit challenge souvenir which we had almost given up on.
ROS had been on this cycleway several times before but at a much faster pace than today.
There were a lot of passing muggles who offered help thinking we had lost something and the occasional runner who must have wondered why we made such slow progress when he passed us on his return!
We had been expecting someone to set this trail up so it wasn’t a complete surprise when the caches were published. Enjoyable trail TFTC.

7922 After seeing this trail pop up over the weekend I decide to get on my bike and collect them. Parked at the northern end and took me just over 3hrs to do the round trip. with only 1 DNF. Will have to comeback for that one. Enjoyed the trail with interesting hides some of which I found a challenge to find. Thank you for all the effort in creating these caches.
After reading the cache name I thought I knew what to expect here as I had created a replacement cache for a hide near Hamilton (Pandas Dream). This was correct so pleased to quickly sign and move on.

Time to get the bikes out and tackle this trail. The first challenge was to navigate our way through all the new housing down Papamoa. We parked down the end of Te Okuroa Drive and hopped on.
Nice easy start out around the pond and on to the trail We have been waiting a long time for someone to set up a trail along here and really looking forward to it
Number 6. And we are on a roll. Again started looking around my favourite plant but with suck good coordinates the log was soon signed TFTC

With (Mr) Davidson Clan, ABCDF4 and eyespyben… Our Huntly friends responded to our invite to walk the P2P trail, and we were able to park a vehicle at either end…
The coordinates and hint were spot on. This was one clump of flax we didn’t mind searching - and the hide was cool too. Thanks Geckoh and TFTC.

Loving the names of these...and the spot on hints! The sun is going down and the crickets are chirping at the mo, glad we didnt have to dive in far.
Went out during our lunch break (with kimbathelion) in the hope to be FTF unfortunately 2 others beat us to it. Another cool cache. Thanks for the hide.
Out with buzzybb. Cool cache disguise. Fav point. Enjoyed doing part of the trail. Shame we had to go back to work. Will finish the rest another day. Tftc
Excellent to see a power trail taking shape along this walkway - it's something we'd long talked about but lacked motivation. I made my way over to gz 3 hours after publication unsure if the [FTF]s were still there - but happy to find that they were. It was pretty close though considering I met Grifter13, kimbathelion and buzzybb on my wander... This was the first fifteen publications of the series and all the hides were all straight forward with good hints, accurate coords and reliable containers. We expect nothing less from the 14 year geocaching veterans - Team Geckoh. TFTC Dumb flax - onto the next one.**Early 2015 a group of Tauranga based cachers started a [BOP Geocaching Facebook Page](https://www.facebook.com/groups/GeocachingBOP/).240 cachers currently make up this [Closed](https://www.facebook.com/help/220336891328465#What-are-the-privacy-options-for-groups) group where we organise various geocaching events and excursions as well as share information and friendly banter.
