On a day out exploring Fairbairn Forest with Toy Hunters. I'm glad I got to come here with Toy Hunters as I think it would be too eerie to come alone. It would be even worse at night!! Thank you TE for the cache!

Found with Scaphoid on a nice morning walk around Fairbairn Forest, what a dense and eerie place to wander through! This one corner of the Forest has such different vegetation to the rest, how interesting! Quick find by me at GZ, lovely views over the hills. TFTC TE!

34,559. Found with minniek on another lovely afternoon walk enjoying some peace and quiet out in the forest.Once again taking advantage of the soon to be gone Daylight Savings, we parked outside the (temptingly open) gates and heading along the road and paths towards GZ. The Paintball place wasn't open so there were only a few other hikers to share the area with. After cutting through on spot of trees we were on the border of the Track and walked along the fence line all the way up to GZ. Once there it was a nice quick find. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then we retraced our steps back to the next cache. Thanks Tankengine !! I spent a bit of time working on the other side of the fence when I was in the Army !(Sorry for the late log - we are slowly catching up after a hectic few weeks with the Adelaide Mega, Canberra Mega and the Wedding).

Thankfully the furthest point along my walk today, I was feeling pretty warm while making my way. Added to the extra distraction that there was constant beeping coming from the training center nearby. For the life of me I could not figure out why they were making all the noise. Maybe the where trying to simulate the noise in a busy Asian city. who know.Nice quick find. Thanks for the fun TS.

A CBC evening walk led by Marmaduke Rothschild. Caches and ghosts promised; he delivered. Typical Te cache, so well done. A muggle was first to the spot and found it for me. TFTC.

It has been several years since I last hiked around Fairbairn Forest, so decided to come and check out some of the new caches on offer! A beautiful day for a hike, with the entire place to myself! Didn't see a single sole out here today, which made it more eerie & creepy than it already felt. ---I heard several gunshots today! Oddly enough there was only one every 15 minutes or so though, very sporadic! Took me a while to find this cache as I was focused on the wrong spot, eventually when I considered another hide nearby it was a quick find! Thanks Tankengine

Suffering a little bit of cache blindness and concerned that the muggle activity (looks like some kind of botanical or animal survey) may have resulted in it not being in the obvious spot, eventually made the find..... TFTC

A pleasant short walk for a couple of caches. I did stick my hand through the fence of the firing range to get the cache but I figured it was safe. TFTC.

Didn't have that much time, but enough to go for a small walk.

Bypassed the Air Desaster area as there was a muggle.

There are BIG BOOMS to be heard from the firing range.

Quick find.

Parked inside the paintball gate, looked to be a busy day with plenty of cars about. Took the direct line through the forest, picking the best way inbetween the pines. Continuing on from a nearby cache it didn't take too long to reach GZ. Found, signed and replaced it was back roughly the way I came. A few cars still in the carpark as I drove out. TNLNSL TFTC

[FTF] ️ ️ ️ with mountainsbeyond

The group was not hiking today to catch up on shopping chores given the weather forecast. Caching colleagues messaged to say that new caches were out so I agreed to meet up as I was already nearby.

Had fun racing to the top. Fortunately I was already on this side of town so had a head start on foot but those with the eTOTT made easy work of the head start . Quick find. TFTC Tankengine.

[FTF] with StarsAlign!

I was in this forest only three weeks ago, so the memory of the trails and routes was quite fresh, and when I saw these caches published I contacted a caching buddy to check if they were free (yes), secured a useful TOTT to the GeoSUV and headed off to the familiar parking area for a game of 'last one to the cache is a bit silly'.

A nice morning (well, cool + not raining = 'nice') to play in the forest again, although this forest is surprising - there's more hills in here then you would expect from a casual glance.

This cache was a straightforward find in a spot I'd ridden directly past previously. Thanks, Tankengine!
