Logs
We spilt caching duties to make quick work of a few close together and to optimise our short time in Orewa before heading home to handover from the house sitter! While MrsNZT was somewhat illegally parked in a bus stop, MrNZT made the find across the road. TFTC!
Another sortie into G-2Land this morning trying to sign off some caches close to the estuary on the northwestern side.I finally found a car park in the next street so that I could walk between this one and the next one.A couple of muggles but they were in their onw world, so no problems.Cheers for the cache, G-2.
Out and about with TheLandGirl to grab a few quick caches around Arran Point. This was a nice quick find at GZ. TFTC!
QEF (which is unusual for this type in this plant for me!) Thanks to great hint. SL TFTC. Now to Miies for coffee
We were walking a loop picking up caches in the area. A nice quick find following the hint. Replaced the split ring holding the bison with a zip tie because it was very rusty and about to fail. TFTC.
More great camo - so easy to identify a G-2 cache even if you didnt realise its a G-2 cache! Amazingly we spotted this one very quickly despite the camo. TFTC
Find 3 Today.
Quick find between car and flocks of cycles.
It's all safe and dry.
Thanks G-2

While awaiting our dog from groomers, we went to Millies, and then 'is there a cache nearby?'
Thanks G-2.
Thanks G-2.
I am up in Orewa this afternoon to take a walk around the Orewa River Estuary via the Te Ara Tahuna Estuary Cycleway and Walkway. I parked up at the main car park, near the skate park, and started my, better part of, three hour hike and caching expedition. I am heading in the anticlockwise direction. I guess this is technically leaving the main trail, but I wasn't not going to detour to find this nearby cache. Only one spot that this hide could plausibly be, so this ended up being a super quick find. Cheers for the cache placement!
Decided at short notice to spend a week in Orewa as our original camping plans had been stymied by the cyclone Gabrielle. Quite a few branches and sticks lying about, but otherwise there doesn't seem to be too much damage here. Lovely weather now and a great geocaching trail around the estuary to explore. Lucky us! Cache is all good. TFTC
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

Our last find on our walk around Millwater this afternoon. Didnt take us long to locate.
Last cache for the day as its starting to get late. GPS reckons I cycled 38kms today, so a great days caching, thanks G2
We are caching around Millwater today to add a few more finds. We have done a few caches very close to the location of this hide. We did a drop off and drive on here as we could no longer park at the round-about where we had in the past. Pleased to get a quick find. Thanks.
Last time we were here the bison had gone walkabout in the pasture leaving just its tether behind. Today after giving GeohoundandI a driving lesson we came back this way and found the new bison.
Anzac weekend. Long weekend away been arranged staying at Orewa Camp Ground, with my parents, we have a cabin each and my sis and bro-in-law are staying at Manly beach camp ground. It’ll be a weekend of eating, walks and chatting.
Cycling to this one, a treed bison, perhaps the C.O means tried and true bison...lol. Abbreviated version might be treed. Who knows, but one thing I does know, I found the blighter. Cheers for the hide Mr Magoo.

As per the previous log we also found the zip tie only, but as luck would have it we did have a sparse bison loose in the van that we could now attach to said zip tie!
Cache all good to find again.

Last one for the afternoon. Found a zip tie at chest height but no sign of a bison.
Down from Whangarei on a caching mission with Team G0LD today to get some numbers in the general Orewa area.
After a successful detour at Warkworth for a trail of 8 FTF's, we carried on to Orewa proper. Our plan was to do as many around the estuary as possible. I've managed to tree a few bisons myself in Whangarei, so I'm used to their tree climbing methods, although it was Greg who made the find here. TFTC

Team G0LD had planned to cache in Orewa today, get 50 caches and clean up that area. Such a nice surprise to see new caches published just out from Warkworth. We made the short diversion out that way and picked up 8 ftfs as a bonus. What a fantastic way to start the day. Grabbed a couple of other ones enroute to clean areas up before reaching our target area.
We contemplated the nearby Forgotten trail and the Batnan cache but I was glad one of the team decided against these at this stage of the day. We parked up in Aaran Point Drive and walked down to this one. A quick find by Greg, TFTC

Out with Team Gold this morning (0B80B8 and Liscrew) to collect a few caches to keep our numbers up. After a short walk up to GZ we soon had the cache located. TFTC
First cache of the day on my 24 km bike "Tour de Oreeewa".
Nice start of the day!

FITW Merlot58 and Nette while exploring the Orewa today. We parked in the middle of the 2 new caches in the area and as they were both the same distance from where we parked the car, we made our way to this cache first. Quick find here before continuing on to the other cache down the hill. TFTC
Loving all these local caches and this was a nice straight forward find after finding the other one nearby. Thanks for all these cache placements.
Our second find of the new caches in Orewa today and we knew in advance there would not be a blank log. When reading the cache title we groaned because small caches in trees is not our forte. However this was a quick find. Thanks for placing G-2!
