Beautiful spot. We travelled up the river for a while more in search of waterfalls.

Enjoyed the walk to the bridge and then the highlight was seeing a while in the pool just below the bridge. TFTC

Having been up this valley many times over the years prior to this cache being published, today was the day to make the trip to find the cache on our way over to the coast. Thanks for the virtual.

Had a lovely day out at Arthurs Pass. The weather was beautiful and the place was busy. We have done this walk before but it was a pleasure to do it again. TFTC.

Together with Travelser I'm going Down Under. We are driving around with a motorhome. After 7 weeks driving around through Australia we arrived the 2th November in New Zealand. For ten days we will cross the Northern Island and than for 2 weeks the Southern Island.During our trip we of course search for several caches. Most of them brought us to very nice spots, like this one.All the CO's, and in this case StreetWalkerNZ, thanks for bringing us here and give our trip a special accent.

After traveling around Australia with Oopie for 7 weeks, we have now been traveling with the camper in New Zealand for 4 weeks. Along the way we will of course also visit various types of caches in beautiful places, including this one. Thanks CO for creating and laying this cache.

A virtual on a nice walk is exactly the sort of caching we enjoy - so we planned our travel to include it. Lunch at the carpark, boots on, and sunhats (the last sunny day for a while I think). Several other families and couple doing the same walk, plus a group of skiers (who had been up on Mt Philistine) and a group of climbers. Photos, pieces of brownie and drinks, then the return to the car showed us how much we had climbed up. Excellent outing thanks streetwalker!

Found with Makiwi and Ivss_xx on a drizzley fun walk. No rocket wrens were spotted but still fun.

Otira Valley walk was chosen for a wee PH getaway today. Some of us were post-injury, some that don't really hike, so this was a nice and easy walk, not too long. And we took it slow and steady

Found with the CO on "placement".
We waited for a good weather forecast, then headed west last Saturday. Obviously a popular walk judging by the number of cars already in the small car park when we arrived.
We went at my speed - slightly faster than snail, so many people passed us en route. Only went as far as the bridge and the photo op.
A lovely walk, with interesting flora and scenery, though my speed picked up somewhat when we walked past the danger zone! Thanks for bringing me to a place I probably wouldn't have otherwise visited. TFTC.

Spotted this one earlier in the week and thought it would be a nice walk. Heavy rain in Arthurs Pass since then put ne off a night mission (weirdly). There looked to be a wee weather window this morning with heavy rain forecast again for the afternoon and the next few days. Headed on out early, 620am, already warming up in christchurch....fine the whole way until Arthurs Pass where it was overcast with a light drizzle. Set out from the carpark at 805am....and was at the bridge in next to no time (840am). Dry feet through the wee streams but got wet from the thighs down (including feet) from the wet tussocks and ferny things. Took some photos then tumbled back down the track to the car by 910am. A nice spot. Thanks.
