Coordinates changed from:S 38 1.515 E 144 23.862Coordinates changed to:S 38 1.506 E 144 23.845Distance from original: 100.6 feet or 30.7 meters.A new location has been selected for this hide, still in the forest of trees. A little more out of the way. I will update the cache description slightly.
A new cache has been placed. It is in a new location a little more out of the way and no longer right in the centre of the grove of trees. Happy caching.
A stroll by reveals tree vandalism and the cache gone. Will investigate shifting gz as the original location is damaged.
Heading to Geelong for a few days to catch up with family. Grabbing a few along the way.Made my way to GZ where I spent a bit of time searching before finding this on the ground, not what I was expecting. Thanks Larafolk for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Found it on my second attempt, and had the pleasure of bumping into CO Larafolk!FLL
With rex46 but phone battery dead yesterday hence late logging onThanks for the cache
Had a bit of experience at these Pine tree searches. Luckily this one didn't take us too long. Tftc
Ahhhh!!! My nemesis!! Finally I found you.Another terrific hide from a great group of catchers. Thank!!
Nice one!TFTC!Someone had been close by and made a tiny hut, as shown in photo.
Just reading the title....yep we thought..... we will be in for a challenge. It took a little while searching around, rereading the description and eventually come up with the cache. Signed and returned. Lucky we weren't here too long, considering it could have taken longer! TFTC
A long planned trip away finally came to fruition as we headed off to Geelong after a gap of some years to catch up with caching friends. There is always a good variety of caches and hides to search for and Geelong itself is a pretty spot with lots of places to explore. Plenty of history and lovely scenery with the bay, riverside, open paddocks and bushland. We particularly enjoyed the many trails and riverside paths where Mrs SKI could give her new ebike a workoutA great time was had with lots of laughs and ribbing as we searched for the various caches and wondered what we might find next. We also had the chance to catch up with some great local cachers on a lovely evening out.Logs signed as SKI Pair, SP or RASP.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Larafolk.**SKI Pair****
Found on a typical Summer day with Roostaman and friends, on a a short trip to Vic. . Lots of travelling and caches as well. Thanks for the cache Larafolk, ***MrsRoosta***
What a fantastic day of geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula! The weather was perfect, and the landscapes were stunning. Our group ventured through a mix of urban areas, lush parks, and coastal paths in search of hidden caches. The camaraderie among our caching crew made the day even more enjoyable, with plenty of laughs and shared triumphs as we uncovered each cache. As the sun began to set, we gathered to celebrate our successes and swap stories from the day's adventures.Geocaching around Geelong and the Bellarine Peninsula was truly a memorable experience, and we can't wait to return for more caching adventures in the future! This is one of the caches found today. I never like it when haystack is mentioned, thankfully with several of us looking this was soon found. Thanks Larafolk for the cache.
Found on a short Vic trip with MrsRoosta. Feared the worst but found and logged thankfully. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cachefor all of us to find, Larafolk, ***Roostaman***

With dot558, my second visit , I know it's there as has been found since I was here also co did maintenance. My geosenses failed meOne more time to come back
As I approached GZ today, I wondered whether I had bit off more than I could chew with the little time I had, especially with some DNFs.Fortunately my spidey senses were well tuned today, I was able to determine what kind of elevation level I needed to be looking at and soon enough I was in the log and on my way. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
Went for a walk to check this one. AOK. Hasn't been poached by Christmas decorators this year, although it has managed to camouflage itself a bit more, possibly adding half to one more difficulty for now. Lovely and green around the lake for this time of the year
Had pretty solid expectations of what I was going to need to find earlier today -- but alas, I was (yet again) foiled by a cache among pine trees. This is definitely now a thing with me.I will be back.
New cache in place. Lakelands are pretty with the wattles starting to come out. The goslings are getting bigger too.
Wowsers! Cool hide! Gets an FP from me. Great fun and well placed re- muggles... TFTC SLTNLN
It's late. I'm tired. I've just had two hours of Scouts... what the heck am I doing out in the Lara parklands, scrounging around for a cache in the dark? Oh yeah, I'm a caching tragic trying to fill his calendar.
Thanks heaps, Larafolk! I came expecting a... thing, and found a much better... thing instead.

Found with teamashy. This took a lot longer than it should. We followed the directions, but it still took a lot of searching before teamashy spotted it. Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Marshall’s Geelong found this cache today,
After trying to find this one a few times over the last few months (usually at nightfall) I can say that I have finally found this one!

I was on my way to an event in the You Yangs but still had a bit of time up my sleeve so I headed into Lara to get something to eat and as well find a few caches that I had not found yet.
This one ended up being a fairly quick find, which was good.
**Thanks to Larafolk for placing this cache.**

After a morning MTB ride at the You Yangs before work, and finding a couple of caches at the nearby sanctuary, I still had a little time to search out a couple more.
With an idea of what I was looking for given the cache name, I initially spent a little while searching at an incorrect level. Coming up empty-handed, I then revised my search and soon had the container in hand.
It turned out to not be exactly what I was expecting, but pretty close.
Log and container are in good condition.

We were there earlier today. Followed the instructions & found this camouflaged cache fairly quickly, despite a school swimming carnival on today.
A few mozzies around, signed the log & we were quickly out of there.

Thanks for the cache it was a great hide. In the car park we saw 2 geese! A great area to just go for a walk as well. Did this cache with my mum!
I picked my geodaughter up after work and we decided to come out to Lara to find this cache. I imagine it would have been a very different place over 20 years ago. After around five minutes of looking I spotted the cache after my geodaughter mentioned a particular item. Oh… could that be? Yes, it was! We both signed the log and I was impressed that she remembered the correct way to put a log in a bison. I was amazed to also spot a red geranium growing nearby. I wonder if someone planted it there? Found by Mary and David at 15:25. Beware the vicious mosquitos at GZ!Don't know this part of Lara, so we were interested to see the real estate and gardens. Had an idea what we were seeking, and that proved to be the case. A clever name too, and a FP awarded. Our thanks to Larafolk.
It has been a while since we did a Lara caching run and with the weather looking more reasonable we decided on an outing today.
We had our suspicions of what we might be looking for but after a methodical search of the area we came up with nothing. Had another think and changed our height which gave a great option. Liked the design of this one. TFTC.

After a brief war with some mozzies and some fun with the rain, we found the cache! By far one of the best we've found
I don't know if it's the darkness or that fact it was raining hahaha but either way I was unsuccessful today will be back with a bigger torch and a rake haha
It was fun and hard we also bumped into some other people doing it and then we found it together

Heading home after attending the Point Lillias CITO, we called by hoping to find out about pinecones in needle stacks.
We certainly did - another clever hide, earns a FP today.
Thanks to Larafolk for placing caches in such interesting locations.

Huzzah! So much easier to find when not raining! Found it in 3 minutes this time. Thanks for this cache!
Note: The lid had come off and it was a tad waterlogged so I’ve dried what I could and did the lid up properly before hiding again.

Unfortunately did not find this one today but I’ll be back for more hunting soon … hopefully when it’s not raining! Any hints for this geocache?
I headed down to Lara to attend my only International Geocaching day event due to my dicky knee not letting me do to much.
So after booking into my accomodation for the night at Little River I then headed down here to find the few caches that are left in the area that I have not found yet.
A couple of new ones that have been put out since I was last down this way so a good excuse for a bit of a hobble.
I am having one of those days where I just get to GZ and I spotted the cache straight away.
I wish I had more of them.
A fav point goes out to you for this one.
Thanks Larafolk TFTC.

Spent way too long searching here and with a fair idea of what i was looking for and still it eluded me. Catching up with other cachers confirmed my idea so a return visit was in order. How did i not see that before ! A.beautiful hide an worth a FP. TFTC Larafolk.
Loved your description and the accurate suggestions. I was looking at the wrong level despite all of that. A well deserved FP coming your way.
Thanks Larafolk
Thanks Larafolk
A quick visit to Lara to grab a few new caches. I entered GZ and spotted nothing out of the ordinary. But with a little persistence the well hidden cache was located.
Log signed and replaced as found.
Thanks for the Great Traditional hide LaraFolk

Moonb1 wanted some help to find this one but in the end she found it herself! A good hide which I don't recall having seen the likes of before.
I was walking through the trees trying to find it then I found one standing up and it was sus so I picked it up and it was there
Heading home from Werribee after enjoying the sunny day caching we decided to call into Lara and pick up this newish trad. Looking at the wrong height initially we spent longer than we should have to find this clever hide. Once we did we were impressed with the well themed cache.
Nicely done.
Thanks Larafolk for the placement for us and others to enjoy.

I was on my way to one of my schools when I remembered there was a new cache out here that I haven't got. I remember looking at the cache description and where it had been placed little while back so I set myself a challenge to find it without using the app/GPS.
It took me longer to work out how to lock my new work car than it did to find the cache. This is a clever little hide that deserves a FP. The area had looked like some litter bugs have used this shady area as a rest stop lately, so I collected the rubbish and chucked it in the close by bin Thanks for the cache

Suscoe and Bushfire headed out for a pleasant afternoon of caching.
We decided that a trip out through Lara to the You Yangs and back again via a wander would be great.
It was a mild Autumn afternoon.
Thanks to the Larafolk for this hide.
We had been looking forward to the needlestack and we were ready with our keen eyes.
After a bit of back and forth we spotted the cache at the same time as Bushfire.
We were pleased that we did not have to search everything.
Well worth a favourite point.

Had a call fro my great caching friends the suscoe's who suggested that they call by and pick me up to tidy a few unfound caches that remain unfound, well you cannot knock back an offer like that so today at 1.30pm the car pulled up and we were off on our little adventure.
this was the first on our short list and after a short stroll we were working out where to stand and then to start looking where the very well hidden container was hidden after guessing what type of hide was used.
As others have stated this is a well thought out hide so deserves a F.P.
Thanks Larafolk, cache all good and log very dry.

I walked in and out of a needle stack with 6 or 7 trees around and for 20 minutes I searched and it was no where to be seen I read the description and they described the exact spot I was in but nothing
It was just a matter of patience. An interesting twist on what I have found before. Thanks for your effort.

I had a busy day and I was resting up and pretty exhausted when the Mrs asked me to look into something, so I got up and did what I was asked to leaving my phone behind. After doing what was required I was side tracked talking with others in the house taking some time. Eventually I return and look at my phone. Hmmm new caches and loads of messages from friends asking was I going. Where am I and so on. when I look at the new caches oh there is one less than 2kms from home. That hasn't happened for a very long time.
Shoes on, grab a few essentials, namely head torch and out the door.
Moments latter I am arriving at GZ and no one is around thankfully.
Things line up with the cache description so I am in the right spot now the hunt is on. Hopefully I can spot the camo. After check something that caught my eye that was not my prize I see something that needed a closer look and bingo.
I opened it up to signed and it was still a blank log
Thank you Larafolk for the hide and welcome back as a CO again
