I had decided to join the second day of *The Great Victorian Cache Crawl*... so I was up early to get to Tatura with a couple of hours available to go cache hunting before the activities kicked off there with a CITO. This cache wasn't too far out of town... nor from the Multui I had just completed... so I took a short drive to come and find it. A nice and easy find with no one around watching. Thanks **lorigus74** for putting this cache here.
The cache crawl was on and this year apart from the Friday night dinner which I couldn't make it to I will be doing the whole crawl. Today on the return trip the weather was much better and it was much more enjoyable not needing the raincoat all the time.I was on this road gathering a puzzle and had to stop by and make this find. Thanks lorigus74 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk First To Find: 181Sidetracked Cache Finds: 133Back in Shepparton after many years to bring some smiles to the map, catch up with old friends, and celebrate Happy Feet1's birthday. This is one of the caches we found this weekend.Cheers for the cache
Out and about with omegaman, Happy feet and Happy Pants, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. We were glad there was not fifteen apples to check. Thanks lorigus74 for the cache.
Continuing on with my well earned 2 week break and after staying in Rochester, Hay, White Cliffs, Cunnamulla, Toompine, Charleville then Cunnamulla again, Wanaaring then Hillston for the night. So (after my very big detour due to lots of road closures) its now time to continue head back south towards home. The sun is still making an appearance after being cold and windy for the last week and it is good to get the suns rays onto you to bones.Up early to take a few more untravelled back roads and a nice stop in Oolambeyan National Park which was an old station that is worth a visit. So after Mathoura, Barmah, Undera Im finally at Tatura where I am staying for the night. Before checking in I had time to tour the back roads to find a couple of caches first. As Im fussy there is only about 2 varieties of apples that I like to munch on.Thanks lorigus74 TFTC,
Thanks for the cache. Bit of water and some dye from a couple of pieces of fake fruit has leaked through the cache so be weary when opening it.
#5559 A nice quick find as we slowly head towards home from Tat. That's a lot a varieties! The cache resembles an oddly shaped granny smith which was soon spotted and signed at gz. Thanks for the fun lorigus74.
17:20Staying in Shepparton for a few days, we had an interesting day, out & about, finding a variety of caches, thinking of the Anzacs and attending a fabulous Central Victorian Annual Get Together -2024 Event in Tatura. The GV fruit bowl series will certainly need a large bowl.A BIG thank you to the CO who placed these caches.36930
The tour of TAT using the caching model has been full of surprises and this is a rather fabulous tribute to the community!. Im on a multi mission and the circuitous detour from Melbs to home base in the NE via Shep and Tatura has plenty of rewards including the EVENT thats attracted a huge crowd. TFTC and the FUN!
Thanks lorigus64 for another trip down a road previously untraveled by me.Found this cache today with Ronice88 en route to your event in Tatura. So sad to see so many ripe apples lying on the ground. Thanks for placing and maintaining caches in the area, bet you get a lot of finds today
Traveled up through Shepparton to Tatura for the event tomorrow and collected a few caches on the way.I would not have thought that we grow so many varieties of apple in this country.Quickly plucked the cache from its hide. Thanks, Robmc.

The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]
Today started off wet when we left Wangaratta heading in a round about way to Bendigo finding caches in a different LGA and others that we had targeted, but thankfully the rain stopped around lunch time which was good.
We spent a bit of time caching around Shepparton as we wanted to find at least 20 caches in this LGA.
Thanks for the cache lorigus74.

Stamped as JAMS - JJ52, alllister w, mogni, sir_spectre. All of these teams are from South Australia and after some major planning we managed to find approx 700 caches while being away for a week. Also qualifiied for a variety of challenges, found LGA's and had lots of laughs. Found while attending the Victorian Mega in Rutherglen.
Thanks
Thanks
The JAMS (JJ52, allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) go mega... We came, we cached, we laughed, we hugged and we had a great time. All caches were replaced better than found. It may have taken one day to get there, but it took us 5 days to get home
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find

Tryiing to get to 20 finds in this LGA. quick find.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

Nice hide, beautiful country side.
A friendly/slightly concerned farmer on a green tractor happened by, while I was at GZ. He yelled out "You right love? What are you looking for? Snakes?"
I replied that I was fine and was trying to capture a photo of a pretty parrot I had seen in the trees...he looked me up and down as though i was crazy and suggested I stay out of long grass. Dress and slides apparently not suitable attire. Haha
Glad to see that The Blind Side has rediscovered his passion for geocaching and is finding so many in his very busy schedule.
Thanks Lorigus74 for the cache.

Staying in Moama for a few days and out this way to do some caches, I could smell apples as I approached the cache, nice find and quickly signed TFTC lorigus74
Found it, High and dry after all of the rain. Log was a little damp as baggy wasn't closed properly, so dried it out in front of car heater and made sure to close baggy tight. Found it on 20/8/2022 but phone went flat while I was typing my log entry, so logged on 21/8 and adjusted date on pc. TFTC
A nice hide was discovered out this way today amidst all the apple orchids. I couldn't help but notice the small number of apples still hanging on the trees in the orchids, looks like some got missed or they must be for the birds maybe, or a lone walker that's peckish ha ha
A nice l'il cache creation here and it's log was signed at 13:25 on Tuesday 26 July 2022.
The cache and contents are in A1 condition

{My favorite Apples are the Golden Delicious / Royal Gala and the Envy [:x] [^]}

Couldn’t sleep so I came out geocaching. Personally I love Pink Lady apples. Well I better hurry along football today. TFTC!
Quick stop off to grab this cache on the way home from shepparton. Apples are one of my favourite fruits. TFTC.
It seems this area is very ‘fruity’ and we are amongst it all today. There seem to be more varieties on sale in the Supermarket every season. It was fun to find a couple of varieties here when we SL at 11.14am #8863 TFTC lorigus74
Growing up on an orchard I found this cache very sweet. Thank you lorigus74 for this well thought out hide.

Having run an errand into town, catnap777 and I had a few moments up our sleeves on our way back to Tat' this night and thought .... why not. Just because it was dark, and our only torchlight was from one phone, it can't be that hard.
Well we stumbled around a little longer than expected, but cat' soon enough called "Found It!" and the crafty container was retrieved, log signed and all returned in top condition. [^]
At this time of day we may not have got a good look at the nearby fruit trees, but having grown up surrounded by orchards, I've seen my fair share of apples.

Found and signed with dalerious on one of those rare evenings where no trucks were expected, meaning our working day was done.
A trip into Shepparton ensued to pick up and dust off a set of golf clubs, that as the years have advanced and hobbies changed, only get out and swung once a year on the Queen's Birthday long weekend.
There was a cache not far from this one that I have had my eye on since shifting to this region, so I beg and plead with dalerious to allow me to go fetch it on the way back home.
Well I didn't need to twist his arm too hard, as the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, (me ). Eve, yet again spied the delicious fruit and coaxed Adam to pick it for great reward. Reward being to hop back in the car from the icy night breeze.
Thank you Lorigus74 and B for the cache.

I had no idea there were so many different apple varieties I can only think of 5 TFTC lori
A lot of the trees had been harvested but some were laden with ripe red fruit.

Yes, The Blind Side is back. After having announced my retirement from Geocaching to focus on other passions, I like John Farnham have made a comeback (gee that was short-lived!!)
So of course it was time to clean up my own backyard starting with a couple of Lorigus74's GV Fruit Bowl Series. After grabbing the Pair of Pears this one was not far away so grabbed it on my way back to the highway. Clever cache and hide. Great series so far. Thanks Lorigus74 for the cache.

Again a cache that was not really as appropriate as I thought but after further inspection it proved to be very appropriate. A little hard to get to but harder to return. All in good condition. TFTC.
On our way to the Anzac Day event in Tatura and clearing up a couple of new caches.

Thank you for our sixth find for today. Bunadoorian and I have enjoyed our sight seeing around this lovely town. I love this series and the finds we come across in your caches. My uncles were apple orchardist's in Tasmania. The fruit near by were looking very red. TFTC and for bringing us here lorigus74
It's not often I have time to get out caching these days but today we the sun was shining, time was on our side and another ANZAC Day event was organised. The Central Victorian Get Together events started in 2007 and have run on ANZAC Day for almost every year since then. We've attended all except two.
This one has also been on our "one-day" radar for a while.
Thank you, lorigus74, for this cache.
#4172. Log signed at 1459Hrs.
(I often sign the log book as "W+W" to save paper/time/ink)

Rex and I were in Market Plaza, where Rex was given an Easter Egg from the Easter Bunny[:X] when my phone let me know that there was new geocaches somewhere in either SA or Vic![?]
I strongly debated sticking to my plan to go to Bunnings but decided that chasing new geocaches was more fun![^]
That's how Rex and I found ourselves looking at Apples and Pomegranates[^]
After Pomegranates, we came here and were again surprised to see an empty logbook[?][?]
The empty logbook was not noticed, though, until after the cache was retrieved
In my next life, I'd like to be tall, please![^]
Maybe then T1.5 caches will be achievable while I am standing on the ground
Thanks for the fun today and getting us out of our normal routine by placing a couple of caches for us to find![:X][^][:X][^]
Woohoo! *FTF* at 4.53pm
