Found as a group called QANVT - Qld ACT NT Victoria Tasmanian group - during the mega celebration. Organisation credit goes to DavidWazza for organizing car pool, logistics etc. Our group was Kolour, Grumpy Bump - who apparently has done this geo- art before but the kind sir did not mind the drive around, myself and 007. Good team work.I volunteered my skills as the monkey up the trees. I really truly love this geo art! Thank you so much for placing. Tftc(Sorry for copying and paste. I do not like it but sadly must do the evil to log many wonderful caches).

Now that the bike series was completed we continued onto the Barossa series. LB bid us a fond farewell at Swan Reach so now the convoy consisted of feathertop, GoodLook,Rapidlywild, TheDame and The Drovers. All puzzles were solved awhile before the journey as we were looking at doing them at SA mega time but decided wait until now. All caches were signed as The Mob and all were also found without any issues. The trail was a little all over the place but we got that sorted soon enough. Thanks for the hide and series SpotemGotem and thanks for a fun adventure Rapidlywild.

05-Apr-24
Day 3 of 3. After completing the nearby bike series, we drove to Nuriootpa. The plan today was to complete the Barossa trail. LB parted ways with us, as she had previously done them.We stamped the log as 'The Mob' to save space and time.'The Mob' this time included:- FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, feathertop, GoodLook, TheDame, and ourselves.Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, SpotemGotem, for us and others to find.

05-Apr-24
It was Day 3 and our large group of cachers known collectively as The Mob were ready to tackle the Barossa caches. Members included The Drovers, Rapidlywild, Lib, Goodlook, FurfacesLL The Dame and myself. We had a Mob stamp. This is a pretty series of bunches of grapes which once solved produced a less attractive picture on the map. This wass going to be hard to negotiate. However the series is well maintained and the Terrain ratings reflect the hides. A lot of trees were climbed, pole fishing was the go too. As a result it took us ages to do the lot but we got there. Very nice views amongst the grapes and even a field of stubble set on fire too.Logs stamped as The MobThank you so much for the series!SmileSmileSmile

10-Mar-24
Solved these from back home in NZ so now was the time to find these hides,Having had lunch we were feed and watered and set for an afternoons caching in the heat of the Barossa region. This was one of many in this stint in this great area. All good here and thanks to the CO who made this possible.TFTC SpotemGotem#9033

04-Mar-24
Out and about today finding more grapes to pick along the dirt roads amongst vineyards. The sun is shining and caches hiding so all is good in the World Finding a mixture of T ratings livens things up, and means Mr dimor has to get out of the car, grab the TOTTS and retrieve the cache for meA good day in all, saw other cachers (from NZ) out on the trail and not long later had a chat with a local vigneron who knew what we were up too. Stopped at a winery and grabbed a bottle of Shiraz for my caching buddy back home in WA, still a few more bottles to get her.An enjoyable dayTFTC Sorry for generic log, too many caches not enough time

02-Mar-24
Late last night fitzy_1965 and I were trying to work out our plan F or G or goodness know where we were up to. We eventually decided on the Barossa series as we had solved all the puzzles before heading over for the Mega.We were surprised that we didn't come across any other cachers today. All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. The day was ended with a campsite in Nuriootpa so that we could finish the trail in the morning.

34,332. Found with minniek during our trip to The Great Leap Forward Mega Event in Adelaide on 29th February 2024.Day 5 : After staying overnight at minniek's cousin's place again, we chose Plan H to fill in the rest of our time over here. This means attempting to do the Barossa Grapevine GeoArt series which we had pre-solved before this trip, plus a few bonus caches along the way. We had a lot of fun doing this series, many different types of hides, some challenging tree climbs, ladder climbs, fishing pole caches, all while enjoying the drive around the wine region. All caches were found without issue unless stated. This one was a quick find once we were at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed off to the next one. Thanks SpotemGotem !! We appreciate the time and effort put into a GeoArt series like this. Fav Point for the series.

02-Mar-24
With the Leap Day Event over we have now moved to the sports grounds at Greenock. We are completing the grape series that we started last year, then decided the country roads were too wet. Just the opposite of today & the roads are very dusty. We found a large amount of DT combinations. In some very scenic locations. Thanks SpotemGotem for hiding this cache.

Barossa #0012.0/1.5 Small Mystery Cache Flew in from Alice Springs. Back in Adelaide after 14 years. Here specifically for The Great Leap Forward Mega and catching up with awesome Qld caching friends and revisiting Adelaide where we lived for 16 beautiful years! Pity I only started caching in 2015.Had a wonderful time reminiscing and admiring wonderful changes in the State, meeting friendly cachers and helpful COs and finding quality caches, high D/Ts, oldies, geoart etc.Signed Team QANVT - cachers from Qld, ACT, NT, NSW, Vic and Tas - to save writing all 30+ caching names.Thank you for the cache SpotemGotem.

01-Mar-24
We set aside the first of March to do the Barossa Puzzle Series and had a great, but exhausting day. We found every one of them and enjoyed the variety of hides. It was nice catching up with various teams at different caches, and even the odd curious land owner too. Thanks for the puzzle and series! The usual trio of myself, stainless steel rat and Budgietas was joined by Tassie Trekkers for The Great Leap Forward trip. We decided to cache down south around Goolwa, Victor Harbour and extended reaches for a few days, before basing ourselves in Glenelg for the second half of the trip where we cached around the city, the hills and the Barossa Valley with a highlight being a couple of hours on Adventure Island. Many thanks to the Mega Committee, all the helpers and many local COs who kept up busy and entertained. Most logs were stamped with Team Tassie.

01-Mar-24
I was in Adelaide for the Great Leap Forward Mega, and a group of us (BOLD9) hit this trail. We could find many of these fairly quickly, with some being spotted from the car as we drove up to them. A few were quite challenging, and they needed extra work to locate.I enjoyed the challenges of the hides and the puzzles - with a few needing help from the CO, who was more than willing to assist. All caches were found in good condition unless noted. Sorry for the bulk logs, but we found so many in one day it's challenging to write something different for all of them. Thanks for the excellent series and the ongoing maintenance.

Oh My, not sure what day number it is or what caches I did yesterday, been caching for a while and the days and the caches run into each other. We started early today and had the Grapes in mind along with some special caches. It will be nice to hopefully have an art completed without any holes. To save space on log sheets we signed as BOLD 9. I like this area and the caches were different in parts. Some nice puzzles to solve and some good placements. We thought we were going to be short on one cache but we ended up finding the bison on the ground. A quick tie up and all good to go. Thanks for the caches and the hides, sorry for the generic logs.

This was our big day with us targeting the Barossa puzzle series and a couple of others along the way, we crossed paths with a number of other cachers, sometimes we helped and sometimes we just got out of their way. This was a great day out. This was the first trip to the mainland for this group of Tasmanians in a while, we flew over on the 24th and left early on the 3rd. With 4 days in Goolwa followed by 4 in Glenelg we managed to get some caching done in different areas and pull in a select list of caches we all almost all needed, old caches were on the list as normal but also some different D/Ts with some high fav pointed cache making up the remainder. The trip didn't start well with Qantus losing a bag which made us rearrange a couple of days but we got some 4WDing in and a even some driving on the beach to get a couple of different caches, boat trip to Adventure Island was a great start on the day of the Mega too.All caches were stamped "Team Tassie" which consisted of myself, gooseandegg, Budgietas and Tassie TrekkersFound on 01/03/2024 at 12:00:00 thanks to SpotemGotem for placing this cache for me to find. A good set of puzzles, and there was only one type that I hadn't seen before that I needed to get help with. The CO was kind to provide a prompt reply, and otherwise it was a friendly series of puzzles.I reached out to a few Qld-ers to attempt this geoart together, and word must have spread as we had many vehicles heading around this series. We crammed four people per car to maximise efficiency and reduce vehicles along these back tracks, and then headed around the caches accordingly. We arrived at GZ, and it wasn't long before the cache was found. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and we signed as Team QANVT i.e. Geocachers from Qld, ACT, NT, NSW, Vic and Tas; Perhaps it would have been better to be Team Central-Eastern Australia, and the team consisted of barb2E, Bellahappychappy, contesta, Cybergran V, [E_Smiley](https://coord.info/PREYGEN), [FlutterBeryl](https://coord.info/PRN5QPK), [Geo Johns](https://coord.info/PR3CXYA), [grannysmith1947](https://coord.info/PR8VQX7), [hatzofff](https://coord.info/PRW1PY8), icybeetas, [joojoo57](https://coord.info/PR81QV1), [kolour](https://coord.info/PRDR6H9), [patrol14](https://coord.info/PR39FN6), [Richmond Lad](https://coord.info/PR84NZ4), Riddell, [RoddyC](https://coord.info/PRC80AY), [Snickersallan](https://coord.info/PR9Y97F), weirdobiker, [Willis007](https://coord.info/PR70EP3). Thanks [SpotemGotem](https://coord.info/PR1C4P32) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------A trip visiting Adelaide from Brisbane for the [The Great Leap Forward](http://coord.info/GCA1DNA) Mega event!I arrived Wednesday 28/02/2024 evening ready for Leap Day on Thursday, and stayed with family across the weekend, before returning on Monday 4/03/2024 morning. Previous Adelaide trips are spent with family and friends, but targeted geocaching was this trip's objective, and I attempted to target unique cache types (virtuals, EarthCaches, Wherigos and letterbox hybrids), attractive D-T combinations, high Favourite Point caches, and the occasional pre-2003 oldie, acknowledging that I had found many cherished oldies whilst residing in Adelaide. In addition to Mega central in Beverley/Hindmarsh, my trip included visits as north as Clare, to Aldinga and Sellicks Beach to the south, and the Adelaide Hills (Hahndorf, Uraidla) to the west. In true South Australian style, I ticked off the three closest wine areas to Adelaide (Barossa, Clare Valley, and McLaren Vale). Additional highlights included Barossa vineyard meanderings, boating to Adventure Island in Outer Harbor, drain exploration via [The Shadowlands](https://coord.info/GC18AZY), beach walks of Port Willunga and Sellicks Beach, enjoying a beer at Willunga, and experiencing the Fringe Festival in Adelaide's east end.Today, the plan was the completion of the Barossa grapes geoart, and then return back from north-east of Adelaide via targeted D-T caches within the vicinity. After attending the morning's [Meet and Greet Walkerville Memorial Gardens](https://coord.info/GCAJ4H9) event, we proceeded north to join others, and completed the Barossa grapes geoart, before having an early lunch at Tanunda. [E_Smiley](https://coord.info/PREYGEN) and I then took the scenic (geocache) way back to Adelaide via Gawler, One Tree Hill, Golden Grove, Athelstone, and traversing the Black Hill gorges of Gorge Road Montacute Road. Highlights included the 1837 Barossa vineyard, many repurposed (Used 2B) churches, upper Torrens River scenic walks, and enjoying wild blackberries spotted by [E_Smiley](https://coord.info/PREYGEN).Following a pizza dinner refuel and returning [E_Smiley](https://coord.info/PREYGEN) to her vehicle, I called past a couple of Adelaide's south park lands geocaches utilising various TOTTs, before returning back to the family base well into the night.

GC9QX8J Barossa #001Happy Leap Year!A group of us are down from Darwin and Brisbane for the leap year mega event. This is my last full day in Adelaide so we decided to tackle all those grapes we had solved and pick up various other caches in the area. To save space in the logs we have signed as BOLD7. Was meant to be BDLD7 but something got lost in translation. However 2 more have joined our team. So BOLD9 today it is. I have had a great time caching down here and will need to return with the family to explore the area (& caches) some more. TFTC SpotemGotem

01-Mar-24
With the Adelaide mega event now a mild hangover past, it was time to collect interesting geo-art and cache types while the BOLD09 are based in Adelaide. Today's focus was the Barossa and to pick the grape geo-art.This is my second trip to the Barossa in the last 9 months. On my first visit I had a few grapes earmarked for picking however the dirt roads had the consistency of jelly and looked undrivable in a conventual vehicle. So I looked at a few road entries from the bitumen only to see a few 4WDs reversed out after 10 or so metres. Mud ruts came to axle height so I tried walking. All I did was gain inches of height from the accumulated mud. I gave up and went to drink myself sillier at Clare.Today with a coordinated attack plan, the BOLD09 were out to finish the grape picking, which we did. Bumped into a number of cachers from yesterday's mega including a lot of wayward Qlders. I'll elaborate on specific cache finds that have left me with memories of this great trip with geo-friends. Thanks SpotemGotem for a trip round the Barossa back blocks.

Day #10 Leaping Forward AdventuresAnd just like that leap day is done and dusted! As the next 4 years begin, its time to head out to the Barossa with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506.It was time to go grape picking! Slowly working our way around this rabbit warren of roads. All found in good order unless otherwise commented. Thanks SpotemGotem for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. The [Farewell Ballarat GeoTour Event - GCAFQ8B](https://coord.info/GCAFQ8B) is on 18 February 2024.Looking for caches to find when visiting Victoria? Caching as team SPBINZ: Sidewaze, Paddlechick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ and Nanzie. This trip has been a "game of three thirds" for us. First we visited the Yorke Peninsula, staying at Wallaroo and then at Port Vincent. Then it was a couple of nights in the city, attending the Mega and looking to get the maximum number of cache types we could, a couple of hidden months for members of the team and lots of caches that crossed our paths. Now we're off to tour the Barossa Valley, visit a few trails, find lots of caches and generally have a good look around. One of our missions will be to put that bunch of grapes back together. No-one is really into wine-tasting, well put it this way, we'd all rather be geocaching, so geocaching it is ??, though I'm very pleased to say geocaching took us to several beautiful wineries.I do get a bit side-tracked when I'm caching and take time to enjoy the local flora and fauna. The plants are so obviously adapted to life in a dry climate, the birds are colourful and screechy, and the ants - - well, I've never seen such large ants or had such a vicious bite from an insect. There are lots of scenic views too, some of which attract action from my camera but of course many that just form part of the overall experience.Oh, but of course I also take my turn driving and sometimes I'm first out of the car and into the hunt, though I'm probably number 5 on the success stakes when it comes to finding the slightly elusive hides ??.Thanks for all these wonderful puzzles and hides Big Grin.

01-Mar-24
Found as part of the SPBINZ team (Sidewaze, Paddle Chick, Bullertrout, IsisNZ, and Nanzie). Now that we have arrived in the Barossa Valley the plan for the rest of the day is to complete as many of this series as we can. So far so good. TFTC SpotemGotem and kia ora from Aotearoa/New Zealand # 21,862**Otepoti/Dunedin is the place to be 26-27 October, 2024 for GCA7ZHD - Geo Toroa Mega! How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. Our geonick for the trip is BOLD9 which is guaranteed to save the log paper for the 9 individual members of the team. As we make our way around sadly there wont be time for the usual individual logs and therefore just the old generic log will have to do. With little extra notes here and there if needed. Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.

We are finding caches for the fun of finding them, or we are targeting specific caches - puzzles we have solved and caches that will help us complete challenges; for me it is finding caches with a D/T of 2.5+/2.5+ for the GC30AD8 DGSC Challenge (West Coast) challenge in NZ. Of course, there will be lots of laughter, no doubt at my expense ??????.Huge thank you to all the COs who have placed the caches we find and log today. Some of the caches will be used to help me meet the challenging module (I need to find 400 caches with caches with a D/T of 2.5+/2.5+) for the [GC30AD8](http://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC30AD8) DGSC Challenge (West Coast) challenge in NZ.Kia ora rawa atu for the cache SpotemGotem.

Today is day 7 of our SA Great Leap Forward Mega adventure. Based at Goolwa, Mr T, Gooseandegg , Stainless-Steel-Rat and Budgietas concentrated on finding caches with appropriate D/T 's to fill their Fizzy Grids and this was one of them.We signed the log Team Tassie. This was a great series that traversed around the Barossa Valley area, along many gravel roads and catching up with fellow cachers, a top day out.We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.

Some were a little trickier than others but all caches were located, signed and returned as found. We had a lovely dinner in Gawler on the way back to our lodgings as there wouldn't have been much open by the time we got back to the Adelaide area.Thank you very much for all that you have done to lay out and now maintain this trail for us all to enjoy.

We had solved the puzzles in this series in preperation for our leaping into SA trip.We headed off straight after this mornings event with McLookers, ThePacman, Muzza, Micaparamedic, Moonb1, Alansee and Maccamob to try our luck with this series. You would not call this a power trail but it was a lot of fun and we had laughs all day.We found all we looked for, some took a while but with this many eyes looking they could not stay hidden for ever.We all enjoyed the varied hides and terrains, happily we had all out TOTTS.We were having too much fun to take individual notes on each cache so are sorry for the cut and place logs, they are not meant to take away the enjoyment this series gave us all.To save room in the logs we signed as VIC 1Many thanks for all your effort setting it up.

A Leap Year Mega drew us to Adelaide. Now that it is over, it's time for some good old group caching This morning's target: The Barossa Grape Bunch Geo Art.We met at the designated launch point, and our Director of Logistics directed us to the Order of Business. We voted on using the Acronym QANVT to cover participant from all states. And so happily I say that the logs were signed and caches replaced as found on this day, 1st March 2024. TFTC, SpotemGotem. I loved being out in the bush and in and around the vineyards.

After attending the Mega we decided to go out and do some grape picking with ilook4geo, There was a great selection available that were ripe to be plucked from the bunch. So we made our way slowly along and sampled as many different varieties of grapes as we could and left a note on each one. They were indeed a tasty lot and we were quite satisfied with the flavour. Thanks for this series go to SpotemGotem.

Travelled to SA from Brisbane for the Leap Day Mega event. Whilst we were around the general area, we decided to make a night of it and booked a motel in Angaston. We teamed up with Low1, GayeNT and JOT105 for this event and gave ourselves the team name of Errant Coyotes. All logs were signed as either our full team name or ECoy where the log was smaller. All caches were found reasonably quickly and replaced as found. Some do need some maintenance. Will call this out where noted.

With 6 sets of eyes the going was reasonable easy to spot the containers .We had been for a break and to have dinner and are now back with torches to continue the chase. A lot of the containers were much easier to spot in the bright torch light. Between us we had the TOTT to SL Tnx SpotemGotem

Continuing my South Australian adventure. I had solved this series before leaving home, so thought i should make an effort to find them. Great variety of hides - park and grabs, tree fishing and tree climbs (although I only do the very low ones). Unless otherwise stated, all caches were found in good condition and my name added to the log. TFTC

Whitepaws9 and I chatted and laughed along the way while we were doing the Barossa Series. Most of them were easy to find, and we managed to find 131 caches out of 158 caches. We did not finish all of them because we are not monkeys. LolLuckily, no snakes were seen. Thanks SpotemGotem for the cache Smile

Second day out with Csaba! and SupaOrange. This time we brought the big guns to tackle those high terrain, tree climbing, cable tie hanging caches which we couldn't do last time. With a bit of warm weather, the dry weather only roads were no problem and we filled in the gaps made when we were here before. Found another 52 - still plenty to do for next time. Happy to report 100% success rate. Thanks for the cache, SpotemGotem.

I started solving the puzzles as soon as the caches were published. Once I had solved most I made a couple trips up yo the Barossa to make some finds. I returned today to find the remaining solved puzzles. All of todays caches were found without too many problems. I even managed to rectify a couple of DNFs along the way. I now have 2 unsolved and unfound caches left on the trail. Now where is that thinking cap? Thanks for the cache SpotemGotem.# # SmileSmile #13413 SmileSmile # #

We headed out to tackle more of the Barossa Grapes today, with a few extra caches that came our way. A tumble for Mr Felix at 003, thanks to a fallen fence! Otherwise all good with lots of tree climbing by the 71yo. Surprised Good to rest up overnight at dinner with friends.

We were fortunate to solve each of these puzzles within a week of them being published. Since then, our aim was to visit the Barossa series each time we came to Adelaide with the intention of attempting to find all the caches over a number of visits. Today was our second excursion to the area.

This was a straightforward puzzle and we soon had confirmed coordinates for the cache.

We were surprised that the road we used were in good condition, despite recent rain. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks SpotemGotem for this cache and the series.
