Quick easy find. Cache was damp but dried it and the logs out. Distinct lack of foliage at the moment.
Found once I realised this is one of those locations where you have to look at three dimensions instead of the usual two.
So little, but we found it. Paper inside has got wet, could do with replacing.
I was in the area, and needed a find to fill another dot day. I was encouraged by the fact that this cache was found today in favorable circumstances. So I made my way to GZ for probably the fourth time. Yay! Eureka! I spot the illusive blighter. Success. A yellow smiley. I left a sheet of waterproof paper . Thank you, killrrhubarb for this cache.
Forgot a pen! Took a while to find, nearly gave upbut stoked to find our first one.
Found Log is wet and the grass around the area has all died ans been cut away so cachs is very visible
Loved this one, cute cache, needs new paper, as it was full and had been moist, if anyone reads this.
Pretty fun, whole lotta walking that day since we got three in that area but a good cache to end at!
Had time this morning to collect three caches in this vicinity. I came from the top and was a bit confused about the "fence" and started looking much too high. Once I focussed on navigating lower down I arrived at the coordinates and there it was! Thanks Killrrhubarb.
I was roughly in the area this afternoon and decided these two caches in Skoglund Park looked like a nice quick mission. There were two likely areas for this cache which were relatively far apart but thankfully I picked the right spot and quickly had the cache in hand.T F T C Killrrhubarb.
What a day to get out!! Nice easy find as it's quite exposed, now to enjoy the rest of the park! Tftc
Luckily for me the foliage had been cut back recently so once I got on the correct level it was a nice find. TFTC!
We saw a imagine that gave the hide away. So a quick find for us today. We remember a previous cache here that we couldn't find.On a day trip from Hawkes bay. Thank you Killrrhubarb for placing this cache.Log signed as B&PFind number 4893
Found with rattll while passing through Palmy en route to Waitarere for the weekend festivities. We started off by looking around the obvious hint object, but soon decided that we were too far from GZ. Zeroed in, and found it in a not so obvious spot. All good in the container. Tftc!
This is a lovely little park to enjoy a wander around. It took a little while to identify the correct hint item, but once close by, it was quickly spotted by Matagouri. Thanks for putting this here
Another nice trip to the Palmerston North area with woolwood9.*Good weather and many nice caches found.* I am a lot slower now and our target caches are fewer on these trips.SL *tm/ww NZ*Thanks for giving us a reason to visit. WW9 was onto this one fairly quickly, muggles at top paid no attention to us.
Nice trip up to Palmerston North today with tmann421 to collect some caches. It was drizzling when we left Waikanae but the weather man told us last night that the sun would be out in PN. He did not disappoint.Group of students at the top of the bank, fortunately they were not taking no notice of us at all.We soon had the cache found and signed
#14,620. A good walk from Featherston Street in Roslyn, Palmerston North. The GZ was fortunately all quiet at the time of our visit. A bit of initial searching around to no avail. Then realised that we had the old original set of coordinates on our GPS. Recalibrated and moved to the latest set of coordinates some 17 metres away. Still it took a bit of searching around. Then spotted. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.*Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and **.T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e.**.M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.*
Hint was distracting - cliff top is NOT gz and recent mowing has removed any foliage that the hint referred to. Activity log gave helpful clues to reorient and cache was found after a short but thorough search. All dry and good here
Took longer than I expected but eventually located and signed log. Allgood here TFTC
Quick find here as we chase yet another souvenir.
Thanks for the placement and the smiley

Found with the 'Broken Biscuits' posse on ANZAC Day on our trip to the winterless north. TFTC Killrrhubarb!
25 April 2023 12:08 TFTC Killrrhubarb for placing this cache, number 12571 for me.
A fair few options were examined in the finding of this one...

Needed about 60 caches today to make the 100 for April, so went out for a day with BFG, Denomynator, bruzie, GSEL and Infoferret. Managed about 30 only odd today with a few DNF's. Swapped cars at the end to make a few more and got back around 9:15pm after the last handful in the dark. Signed as "Broken Biscuits". Took a while to find. For the next cacher, try "4 down" for the hint. Not sure how long this will last as cache doesn't look very waterproof. Thanks anyways for the cache. Lovely area and walk.
We had a pleasant short wander in the park collecting caches. Quick find though hint only half accurate. Troop sign as Broken Biscuits, thanks Killrrhubarb!
The Wellington contingent of myself, barefootguru, CrystalFairy, Denominator, GSEL and InfoFerret headed up to Palmerston North today for the Calling All Troops event and other caches. Logs signed as Broken Biscuits (or some form of BBCDGI or other).
It confused a previous finder as it has been moved since then.
All good here and TFTC.

Have always enjoyed having a wander around this park and seeing the changes that have been made over time in relation to ‘the pit’. Cache all good, signed and replaced as found.
No luck here today. GPS very jumpy, and couldn't work out where we should be. Abandoned after 15 mins or so of searching.
Had an extended lunch break for a couple of smileys. Having met the CO yesterday at an event he informed me that he had moved the cache and so I was keen for another go. As often happens I found the cache quickly and was able to get back to work on time. I guess the moral of the story is don’t rely too much on information from previous cachers who have found the cache. Happy to turn this sad face into a smiley. Thanks Killrrhubarb
Headed out for one cache this evening but wasn’t to be. Scrutinised where I thought it should be but got crossed eyed (and cross) Time for a rest back home.
Planned a route a few days to collect 4 caches, today was a perfect day to do it.
Thanks for the placement, cache was all in good order.
Had to message the CO as we had been looking for a long time, to dad spotting it as an extra hint came in.

Finally found this one after failing on Day1 when HadynSeek persevered and got the FTF.
Even with the updated coords it still felt like finding a needle in a haystack... maybe it deserves a higher D and T rating?
My pick would be 3/2.5
Glad I wore my gumboots because of the soft clay fallen down at GZ really sticks to your footwear
Thanks Killrrhubarb for placing this

Third time here, easy find with good coordinates. Thanks Killrrhubarb for the cache.
First time I had a chance to look since I had to DNF this cache and saw that the coordinates had been updated, it was embarrassing easy to locate this time more so because both myself and twigNZ looked in the spot it is last time and couldn’t find it.
Fortunately we spotted the recent change of coordinates, but it took some time to find the correct altitude for this cache, and even when we had, it took a while to spot. The second part of the hint didn't make any sense to us. TFTC
Out here today, helping a friend look for this. As a former finder, it's not where it used to be so if the location has changed then the coords need updating.
Coordinates changed from:
S 40° 20.139 E 175° 37.736
Coordinates changed to:
S 40° 20.147 E 175° 37.735
Distance from original: 48.8 feet or 14.9 meters.
Cache has moved.

It is still there - I've moved it to be more obvious as a rock slip had obscured it.
Checked under all the rocks, in the retaining wall and all around the base of the bush, found nothing unfortunately, perhaps next time, tftc
Needs maintenance - logbook is missing and the area has lost a lot of the growth that was hiding it in the first place - finding a better location for this one.
After catching up with my pal it was almost time to leave Palmy, but one last find first. Headed down the steps and the numbers descended too and I soon had a single digit metre to final reading. I soon spotted the cache but thought it would be vulnerable. Nicely tethered though and I added my name to the roll book.
I had no real big targets for the day today. With the recent stormy weather and rainy forecast I'd resigned myself to a soaking if I did venture out (I did!). I had planned to catch up with an old friend today, I met him at his house after a last visit around 9 years ago, and we had a good old chin-wag and catch up. Whilst I was in the area I was keen for a fee finds, and so they ensued, a nice double-figure haul. Thanks to all COs for their hides today.

Found reasonably quickly on a lovely morning. The kids loved exploring the area. TFTC.
Doing a walking tour of a few caches while GAR is at the local store of the chain we work at (I'm taking the day off to cache!) and found I couldn't reach the Silver Fern cache because of the levels here I didn't notice on the map on my GPSr so came to this one instead (although had intended to come anyway). Wasn't long before I spied the cache. Glad I had signed and replaced before some muggles came passed - I behaved as if loitering around was a normal thing to do! Thank you for the hide Killrrhubarb!
With the addition of updated hints and reading previous logs this was a relatively quick find to cross off another dot day. Tftc!

Tftc not very waterproof and not in a good hiding and like 10 metres of the cords overall thanks
I hadn't been out on a pure day of caching for a little while, so decided to indulge myself today. There have been quite a few new caches published in and around Palmerston North in the last couple of months, with varying degrees of success. I figured I would like to try to find as many of these new ones as possible as, based on the small sample of them I found last weekend, I'm not convinced of their longevity. This was not one of those caches.
I'd actually been out this way a week ago, and found it on behalf of someone who hadn't been able to find it previously. I just didn't want to claim my find then as I already had the numbers I needed for April. So I came back again today to sign the log, which I did.
There is a problem with this cache, or rather there will be soon. These kinds of containers don't do well to keep water out, and with the log not being housed in a secondary container, and also not being waterproof paper, I predict that this log will soon be mush. I hope I'm wrong, but I'd suggest that perhaps some pre-emptive remedial action could be taken to give this cache a better chance of longevity.
Thanks for bringing me out here today.

#11,068. I was back up again in Palmerston North this weekend to find a few newly published caches. I need these for a challenge series I am working on. I drove to this park and managed to get a carpark by the entrance. Quite a big crowd here today watching the various football matches. I initially thought the muggles would compromise my ability to find the cache but as I approached GZ I realised I would be OK. I started looking at one level without success. Checked the hint and read a few past logs. Realised I would need to broaden the search a bit as the coordinates are out by about 8-10m. But with the hint in mind I went to check one area and saw the cache immediately. It might become a bit more exposed when the gardeners weed-eat in the area. Hopefully it will be OK. Anyway I signed the logbook and returned the cache as found. Thanks Killrrhubarb for hiding it here.
This was our second attempt at this one today and we came loaded with advice from the CO and others who'd originally DNF'd. Not surprisingly we went fairly much straight to it today.
It's good to note some improvements in the hint and rating. However the essential problem remains that the coordinates seem out by at least 8m. Originally we did broaden our search, even to what we now know is the GZ area but with little to go on then it just became the unenjoyable needle in a haystack search. Sometimes I think its better not to try for FTFs but let others sort the bugs out first!
Anyway it was pleasing to change the sad face to a smiley one today and to spend some time admiring the continued development of this park. TFTC Killrrhubarb.

I'll add my name to those who didn't find this cache after half an hour's searching left, right, more right, up, down, GL and above. Disappointing and not much fun.
I've bumped up the difficulty, added an extra hint, and will move the cache higher after the recent DNFs. It shouldn't be too hard to spot now.
I’ve got the afternoon off work and am doing a lot of “during business hours” errands that have built up.
Having completed one just up the road, and with 15min till the next item is ready for collection, and with the youngest two EtherMinions asking to play at a park, this seemed to be a logical location to kill 10min.
While the play equipment was being inspected, so were the nearby steps.
I’d heard that the FtF had been attempted by many, but only claimed by one persistent soul, so was under no illusions that the D rating was accurate.
The GPS on my work and personal phones were both pointing a few levels higher, but when I finally expanded my search radius to a more likely location, I saw it staring at me.
This cache could benefit from some waterproof paper, especially coming into the wetter winter season.
This is the second cache I have found here.
I’ll have to search through my finds to find its GC code.
Congratulations on your first cache placement!

I dont usually go out for {FTF} s but being flexible and , as i was going out anyway, and it wasn't that far away i thought i'd go and hunt. i arrived as 4 other were starting their search and after a while the other hunters had had enough for the time being and left and i stayed on and not having my trusty GPS i used something different on Cgeo - dont know what- but it didn't flicker around madly and so i could zero in on the spot and there it was with a blank log sheet. .
many thanks for this new cache

Searched for quite a while with Geodatum and HadynSeek. I see it was found after I had given up...
Maybe it deserves a higher difficulty level?
I'll be back to try again

We set off with high hopes of a FTF but after quite a long search and broadening the search area we came up with nothing. We couldn’t clearly interpret the hint either so were about to leave when two other experienced cachers arrived. We all joined forces and basically repeated our earlier performance with the same result. It ended up the old needle in the haystack type search and that’s not much fun. When we left one cacher was still trying for the find - it’ll be interesting to see the result.
