Family is away for the first week of the school holidays and so I have a plan to go caching. First goal is to make 7000 caches and hoping to crack 180 in a day on Monday. Today I headed west with the geohound - starting on 821 caches for the year (250 AdLabs!) and hoping to crack 50 in various LGAs for the day.Been down here before - not certain if that cache lives on. All quiet in the evening and once again I looked too low before finally spotting the cache.TFTC au.fait
Well its raining but we go home tomorrow so trying to get what caches that are left that we can today! But wet getting to this cache but we are climatized to the rain today. Log is almost full needs replacing. TFTC!
So nice to be out enjoying the great winter sunshine with a few caches to distract us. This would be a great viewing spot as the planes land or take off. Very quiet today. Thanks au.fait for the cache.
Enjoying a nice couple of nights away. A nice quick park and grab, spotted the cache from the car. I even had the privilege of seeing a plane take off. However, I was approached by what I would assume was aircraft personnel. I was bluntly advised that this area is a no stopping zone ( I honestly didn't notice any sign until I drove off and then spotted it on the fence). I was also informed that I was a hazard to the aircraft to be at the end of the runway. Fair call. Just a warning to others.
Great to come here and see a plane take off, cache is all goodOn the way home from the Capital Geobash Mega in the ACT, today I made my way from Corowa/Rutherglen to Kerang via Shepparton, I had no real plan today other than find a few caches for a challenge caches plus visit some places on the back roads I was yet to visit. Thanks for the cache
Outnabout for some solo caching while travelling from The Great Leap Forward Mega event in Adelaide to the Capital GeoBash Mega in Canberra. Grabbed a couple of caches in the area on the way through increasing my LGA tally. Its always a great day for caching. TFTC au.fait
Since we were in the area, we decided we may as well stop and have a look for these couple of caches that are right by the airport. Both were quick finds for us, but sadly no planes were on the runway today. Plenty of planes visible in the distance, but none of them moving. Thanks au.faitDomsky
Parked by the road, and crossed the ditch to GZ. Made the search much harder than needed. Actually, the cache could be seen from the road if you knew what you were looking for.
Yankee Yankee Whiskey Golf was visited by catnap777 and dalerious. No planes around today. It definitely is holiday time. Cache found in good condition au.fait. Thank you for the cache.
Found on Boxing Day with catnap777. A mighty leap from the road side got us where I needed to be to find this little number without a long walk or wet feet. We were a little early to sign this one though, as not that long after leaving GZ we saw from afar a bit of air traffick leaving the airport. It would have been nice to see a plane taking off from our "viewing area". TFTC au.fait.
Once I'd found a legal place to park, I took a short stroll back to GZ where I was soon signing the log at 11:05. Alas, there were no skybirds to be seen today as that would have been a real treat. TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks au.fait.
Out and about with a new muggle while staying at the time share in Yarrawonga. There is got to be snow somewhere close as it feels cold enough here for it. Nice easy find. Thanks for the cache au-fait
Another quick grab and our second for this coolish, drizzly winters morning. The rain is starting to get a bit heavier so it’s time for the waterproof jacket. SL TFTC
Out with Geowife and Geodog exploring the local area. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
A road trip with bogonghazy and littleboss 2 had us finding a few local caches. Lots of water around and with a jump over the water, the cache was soon in hand and log signed. Cache in good condition. Thanks au fait for adding to our enjoyment
Another quick find with LittleBoss2 and Sorceysal. Bit of water about, but we got there. Thanks again au.fait
Southern Autumn adventure Day 61. Mildura Trip Day 10. On my way home, my second day on the road, I mostly drove along the river to Albury and then headed up the Hume. I ran out of day at Jugiong, so stopped for the night there. Along the way I managed to find a few small towns and back roads with caches. Including Barmah, Cobram & Yarrawonga. I managed a set of Labs as well. A beautiful sunny day and enjoyed myself immensely.
Thanks for the cache au.fait

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 20 - Final Day. Today we had to head home ( for real this time), so after the luxury of a cabin last night (up until then it was 18 nights straight in the back of the Kia) we were up early, did some caching around Echuca, cherry-picked a few more until we (ironically) hit Rutherglen again, then it was straight up the Hume to home. This was the next find of the day, and it was a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and that was the last cache for the trip - over 1,600 caches found.
Thanks au.fait !!

What do we do on a wet day with ilook4geo? Go caching anyway, of course. So we decided to go for a visit to Yarrawonga for the morning and pick up a few of the caches around there. This was a nice simple one to find and a leap over the water filled ditch meant we could sign the log before putting it back into place. as found. Thanks go to au.fait for this cache placement.
Enjoyed the visit to Yarrawonga with goingplaces2 and finding some caches while out and about. No problem finding each cache and our visit was noted in each log. Thanks for the info and for this placement.
Before we started heading home, did some caching across the border from where we'd stayed, with Nakarra_L, Tg4thewin and GeoLib.
Tg4thewin found this one, finally!

Got up early today to catch a few caches before the drive south and then west. Got a great sunrise photo at the weir.

This weekend, it was a trip down to Victoria to attend [The Rutherglen Event](https://coord.info/GC9MH9M) 2023 Mega. Arriving on Thursday with a flight to Albury, I joined a few South Aussie friends, which consisted of e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, and Freddo.
Several geocaching series were completed, which included the Easter 2023 Wherigos, Brolga Bill’s Bike Trail (BBBT), Brolga Bill’s Puzzles (BBP), and the Ladders in Rutherglen series. I also hiked in Warby-Ovens National Park and completed the Wangaratta Warbys Challenge Trail (WCT) series. In addition, we targeted uncommon cache types, rare/unique D-T combinations, older caches (although not too many of these) and those with high Favourite Points.
We also completed several Adventure Labs (ALs) during our stay, which ranged from the Mega specific maze and gadget ALs, to sightseeing around Rutherglen and nearby towns:

The weather ranged from sunshine days, to overnight rain and dreary days, but for the most part, it didn't impact our geocaching as we targeted tree climbs on dry days, and power trails during the drizzly days.
This morning, we were able to escape west from Rutherglen to Yarrawonga via Bundalong to attend Frank Keenan parkrun at Yarrawonga. We were able to call past a few geocaches before/after parkrun, which included this geocache. Once we stopped, we searched for a few minutes until I realised the cache was right in front of us the whole time! The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and the logbook was stamped with DEFF (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo) to save logbook space. Thanks au.fait for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A new day a new adventure, loving caching in the area! Sadly have to work tomorrow so making the most of today. Weather seems to hold and looking better than yesterday. A few more in the Rutherglen area and visiting all the wineries before starting the long drive home.

#17447 - 12:19:00 PM; Day 2 of the Rutherglen Mega mission. After spending the night in Deniliquin it was time to head for Rutherglen with stops along the way in Tocumwal, Cobram and Yarrawonga for a few caches and another county. An unscheduled stop in Bundalong to change a flat tyre meant unloading and reloading the geomobile, but still managed to make it to Rutherglen for the lunchtime event, before joining a large group to tackle the Ladders of Rutherglen series, then joining Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965 to collect a few more caches before the evening event. Thirty one finds, including two events and a flat tyre for the day! All caches were found in good condition and replaced as found. A quick park and grab here after taking a bit longer to locate the larger cache just down the road! Apologies for the largely generic logs! TFTC au.fait
Out and about with McLookers who wanted to add some caches in a specific LGA. Nice quick find.

Had to wait for a slow grader to pass here before I could retrieve the little cache. No planes flying today.

I had a couple of hours to kill, and the weather wasn’t good for outside yard work, so I decided to duck over and grab a cache or two.
It had just stopped raining and there was this massive rainbow all the way across the sky as I pulled up, which made for a good excuse as to why I got out and left the big soccer Mum car in the middle of the road with the door wide open….I was “taking photographs”

After finding the nearby FTF of your au.fait it was only natural that we’d come around the corner and find this one too.

#4947 Grabbed a late lunch from town and came out to gz to sit and watch for a bit in the sunshine. Not a lot of action on the tarmac or in the skies around Yarrawonga International this arvo, but observed a few planes hanging out near the hanger, one even started up briefly. Once lunch taken care of swooped on the quick cache find. That is about as central and close to a runway you could possibly place a cache!! Another day and probably may have had to duck!! TFTC au.fait.

2nd TF on a sunny but breezy morning in Yarrawonga. A quick find after negotiating the water in the ditch! A result of last night’s heavy rain no doubt. SL at 11.40am No planes in flight atm. #8732 TFTC au.fait.
