I have been mildly obsessed with finding **SideTracked** caches lately, having found [Pinkpiggy7's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=eaa1e02c-5a02-4542-b1ad-d2e429ced493&wid=da6c8eae-e38b-4c24-92e0-7bc19fa6a75d&ds=2), [SideTracked - Cranbourne (GC9VQ48)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9VQ48), [SideTracked - Merinda Park (GCA9ZHF)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GCA9ZHF), [REALLY SideTracked - Nobelius (GC9YEZG)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9YEZG), [SideTracked - Cardinia Road (GC9VGZB)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9VGZB), and [SideTracked - Officer (GC9VGYV)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9VGYV) caches all in the past month. However, I thought it was about time to give [Pinkpiggy7](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=eaa1e02c-5a02-4542-b1ad-d2e429ced493&wid=da6c8eae-e38b-4c24-92e0-7bc19fa6a75d&ds=2) a break and so I decided to see what other **SideTracked** caches were around when I spotted this one. It also didn't hurt that this cache was an **"Other"** size cache, as I have been trying to find more **"Other"** size caches in order to work on qualifying for one of [DARKSIDEDAN's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=2a2a54fb-66e6-4b02-ad79-fae27aa04984&wid=d76ce52b-99f9-47c6-b3ec-151b8ca2715d&ds=2) challenge caches, [CHALLENGE - The Odd-sized Cacher - Gold (GC93XJD)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC93XJD).So after work I hopped in the geomobile and made my way to the train station. The weather turned out to be beautiful today and it made for an enjoyable drive. Once I arrived at the train station, I was able to easily find a spot to park the geomobile before heading across the street to GZ.With this cache being a D3.0, I knew I had my work cut out for me. Not only was GZ fairly muggle heavy today, but the camouflage on this one was amazing and blended in so well. This one definitely took me a while to hunt down. I had to sit and wait out three different muggles, who were also enjoying GZ. However, between each muggle visit I was able to make my search, narrowing down the possibilities. I was eventually able to find this one through the process of elimination. A big thanks goes to [Mister Doctor](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=7d33975e-dd45-4386-8e04-c1988ca4e720&wid=ef1d8c39-cbd1-4fbb-a681-3f0ef6663435&ds=2) for this fun and challenging hide. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status:**The cache camouflaged was amazing and it blended in so well. The cache container was also in great shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
Out hunting with Redcb today, we are on a mission to complete the sidetracked caches on the Lilydale line. Arriving at GZ, it was obvious that someone is sleeping rough here, but the place was deserted upon our arrival. We sat and contemplated the devious working of Mister Doctor's brain, and realised we were in for a tricky hide. We weren't disappointed, and it took us a while before something was noticed that looked slightly out of place. We soon had the log signed, and everything stowed away again. Thanks for another clever hide, Mister Doctor. Another favourite point coming your way.
Oh I do love me a Mister Doctor cache.....I say this every time either through a beaming smile or gritted teeth! This one did not disappoint and certainly had us stumped for a while. We sat, we pondered, we poked, we walked, we stretched up, we stretched down ,and then we sat and pondered some more. Crustyvarmint finally spied the cache and it was with great joy it was signed and replaced. A favourite coming to you Mister Doctor and thanks for the cache.
On the way to the city, to find some with high difficulty and FP's. Realised there were some clever ones on the way in so decided to make a quick stop.. or so we thought. Ended up spending an embarrassing long time, looking in all the wrong places.Eventually realised we'd missed something, and soon enough the cache was in hand.A brilliantly clever hide from MisterDoctor, TFTC!
Today was the day for Sims_family and Dromaniax to go on a cache hunt in the big smoke. We had both signed a challenge cache that requires 18 caches with the "Special Tool Required" attributes to be found in the August requirement. We were both determined to claim that Challenge cache this year rather than wait another 12 months, so we drew up a list of caches. There is quite a concentration in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, so that was where we headed today. We saw quite a few very clever ways of hiding caches, and the special tools we required today were varied. We both achieved our goal today and had the bonus of picking up several other caches in the process. This one took us longer than it should. As we arrived, Sims_family commented on how he would hide it, and it took us several minutes to find out that the CO had the same idea.Thank you, Mister Doctor, for this Traditional cache.
Dromaniax and I have signed a challenge cache last year that requires finding caches with the "Special Tool Required" attribute and after not getting enough last year we were going to let this year going by without making up our numbers. We found a concentration of cache over on this side of the city so that is where we headed today. Our first stop for the day had us here and Mr Dromaniax also loves a Sidetracked cache so it ticked two boxes for him. While we took a seat and pondered what the hide may I explained how I though I would hide one here so it was a little embarrassing how long it took to spot considering it was hidden the that exact manner.Thank you Mister Doctor for a quality hide
My buddies: Me, Myself and I You can trust that Mister Doctor makes interesting even a simple location near a train station Thank you Mister Doctor, for creating, placing and maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
On the way to pick up my grandson there. Excellent one, fav from me. Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache Mister Doctor.
Great find, absolutely boggled me and the kids! Appreciate the efforts with this cache
All aboard, the train is now leaving the station. Arrived quickly at Blackburn and was lucky enough to spot the incredibly well camouflaged cache in the first spot I looked. How good is that! Had time for a quick coffee before the next train arrived. TFTC. Gets a favourite.
Found with Mr pwala, loved this creative cache and hide. Mister Doctor, thank you for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area. ?? A FP awarded.
Haha- came back for another attempt and saw it very quickly! Devious and fun! TFTC
Took me a good hunt around to find this one, but had a lovely spot to sit and sign when I found it. TFTC
Too clever for me today. The muggles hanging around waiting for buses didn't help but I looked the best I could. Found 2 great places.. cache wasn't in either. TFT hunt
Hard to do a thorough search with a bus idling next to you and the driver just killing time till he can start his next section. Took a while but eventually found it.
TFTC What a very clever hide. Every time I go somewhere new I like to find at least one cache, this is one excellent hide
I had to drop the car in for a service nearby so on my walk back to work I took the slight detour to this cache. As it was early morning there were few people around. A quick hunt and I had the cache in hand. TFTC.
Pleasantly surprised how quickly I found this one,I can see how it would be missed tho. such a great hide tftc!!
Find number 12751 at 10:50:35am on Friday the 15 December 2023Back to avenge a DNF, yeah!Had to drop my mom of at a dental hospital and this was on the way home, much rather find a cache than get a tooth pulled...**Thanks for placing this cache Mister Doctor**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. Sadly not today, did not find at 8:26amHeading down to a CITO in Seaford and grabbing (hopefully) a cache or two on the way.Well, I'm off to a bad start I could see something that lead me to beleive the cache should be sitting on these two things but nothing was there. I bumped into Rebel Acts at the CITO and he had photos from his find that confirmed that the container and carrier are missing.**Thanks for placing this cache Mister Doctor**---If you are looking for some new caches to find, explore the nominees for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The Nominations Geocaching List is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)!Voting is now closed for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards and the awards event will be posted soon
I finally found this one! What a clever hide. I'm new to Geocaching but after a few caches I really see the appeal now, feels so good to find them. Thanks!
I've been looking at this one for a little while, but never found the right opportunity until I had to drop a kid off at Laburnum station early on this Saturday morning. While up and nearby with few people about this seemed the ideal time to search for this one. As it turned out it was a fairly quick find after checking a few possibilities. Very clever and well done this - definitely worth a favourite point. TFTC
Again this one took a bit of time, I was really stumped until I read the clue and noticed something extra. A bit of a drink and a bar to keep me going towards the next one.Greytiger
Finally found it after looking for about three quarters of an hour. The clue helped.
Love this one was challenging but well worth it. Thanks

This could have taken a lot longer, but fortunately we spotted quite quickly. Such a clever cache, slowly building up our SideTracked finds and this is certainly one of the best we have found.
Nice find after a decent search. Definitely deserves a fave point. All in good condition. TFTC
Daughter went to bounce for youth group but it wasn't worth us going home. Impromptu date night still had some time to kill so found this one down the road. Nice and easy find.
Hello from Japan!
Came to Blackburn station shops for a kebab after a good climbing session nearby. Both were great.
Grew up in Blackburn and it was interesting to see how much the place has changed. (Where's the level crossing??)
Super easy find, thanks to the hint.
Would definitely not rate the difficulty as a 3; found it in less than a minute.

TFTC was so happy to find this one quickly after waiting 45mins for people to clear out! Had the correct TOTT naturally grown and painted ruby
Another SideTracked cache to add to our growing list of them. Without giving too much away, we loved the hide….you had us doing the angry bee dance there for a minute Mister Doctor….I’m sure we didn’t look sus at all! Thanks for the fun.

What a cracker of a hide, took a while to sniff out, but in the end, the smiley was claimed
Massive thanks go to Mister Doctor for placing this one.

I’ve been out of the country for the last three weeks and only just returned to Australia last night, so this was my first cache since being back in Melbourne.
It definitely is a reminder of the amazing hiders we have here, I’ve certainly missed MisterDoctor caches while being away.
It only took a few minutes of searching before I’d located the cache. When I went to sign the log, the pen I’d grabbed out of the drawer decided to stop working right then. Why is it that every pen placed into a drawer or cupboard is then rendered entirely useless when you take them back out? Either way, half of my name is on the log now so I’ll write the other half onto it when I’m next in the area.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

Sneaky, I like it! A big day. I tried to see how many caches I could get using only public transport and walking instead of a car. Walked 16km. Nice! Thanks
With dot558 after visiting friends loved the placement of this one.
Had to read previous activities to narrow the search down.
Thanks for this trail

I found this cache today on a short 3 cache hunt whilst awaiting HA to finish at an appointment. Early in the morning ended up being a great time to search for this cache. Very nice work and fits in so well with the place. I thought that there must have been one or two cache finds in the past that was close to Blackburn Station but I was surprised to see that this was the first. Next nearest was 538m away. Our 68th Mister Doctor cache find. Thanks from D B-A
After a successful day finding sidetracked caches along the pakenham line, it was time to give the Belgrave line a go.
We parked the car at upper Ferntree Gully and as the train was about to depart left the cache there to find later.
First stop, Boronia, where we learnt about the sad past of the station.
Then on to Bayswater. At first we were stumped but our prior knowledge of the cache in Boronia was a big key to our success.
The cache at Ringwood was delightful!
At Heatherdale, the difficulty was 3 but we found it super quickly! (Embarrassingly quicker than the other places)
We couldn't initially find the one at nanawading, but after reading some other logs we were quick to find it. Loved the writing on the outside. The tree across the road is a must see!!
This cache at Blackburn was delightful. Reading the description we thought we may not find it but we made it really quickly!

After completing the brilliant nocturnal adventure of the COTY nominated Violet multi nearby with HeliKelli and kploz, I continued on solo to find some SideTracked caches.
This was a great find, quickly spotted after waiting for a slightly under the weather local in search of a 'light' to move along.
Certainly my fastest D3 find.
Retrieved with my attractive TOTT, the simple but very clever workmanship on this container was revealed.
Well done Mister Doctor, TFTC ??
A favorite from me.

Another sidetracked cache, my second for the day, and another MrDoctor cache! Gee I love them! I was also after caches with 10+ favourite points to help my count for this month’s Wheel of Challenges challenge. This cache fitted the bill and we found a parking spot within 16m of GZ according to my electronic finding device. I’ve found caches in these types of structures lots of times and I generally hate them because they’re usually quite high up and out of my reach.
The caching gods were smiling on me today. I suppose anyone who ventures out on a cold, showery day like today could use a bit of good luck. A quick look at the hint indicated that I need not scramble up, so a quick look around and feel under the seats just produced old chewing gum, mmmm had he used one of the chewing gum micro caches?, no! Sit and think and head to the closest I could get to GZ according to the Device then look carefully. Of course! There it is! And it was. A very cleverly constructed hide which needs careful observation to find. Thanks for another great cache Mr Doctor!

Love this one! Looked around for ~ 5 mins and had to wait for a little while before no muggles were in sight, but great find for a nice afternoon ) TFTC
I'd been saving a number of Mister Doctor caches until yet another Groundspeak promotion involving FPs came up. Now that a maximum of 50 caches with 10+ FPs need to be found for the 'hard' souvenir I thought it a good time to come up here and find a few of them.
The fact that they are often well crafted, a touch sneaky but fun doesn't hurt.
I surprised myself as to how quickly I cottoned onto this one. I suppose the detailed hint helped channel the thought process towards the correct perception.
I think a FP is in order for the time spent in crafting the camo.

Rain is a pain sometimes, especially when we wanted to go searching for particular caches with goingplaces2. This one however was a successful find and both names or initials were noted on the log. TFTC.
Today was another wet day, but we continued with the hunt for caches in the sidetracked series with ilook4geo. We were happy with the success rate, although there were a couple of DNF's. Signed all the logs we found and replaced each one in its proper place. This was a trickier one to find so it took a bit longer. There was a muggle on the phone taking shelter so we had to amuse ourselves for a while. Thanks for placing this cache go to Mister Doctor.
I found this cache before I had premium so I did not find it today! Great cache! TFTC
Found with Leichhardt Rovers, still in good condition. Signed log and replaced.
Well hidden, but clues helped immensely
Lovely shady spot to sit and plan where to go next!
Thx

I found myself out this way picking up a marketplace purchase. Ofcourse I was going to have a look for any unfound caches in the area.
A lovely spot to take a seat. I was onto this one quickly surprisingly and actually had what I needed to retrieve it.
The logbook was nearly full with 1-2 spaces left so I put in a new one whilst leaving the old one in there as well to save the CO coming out.
Lovely cache and placement. Fav point from me.
Thank you for the cache here Mister Doctor

On our way to the last part of another cache, the light was fading, but we could not drive past a Mister Doctor cache, so we had to stop and have a look.
We took a seat in the the right spot and managed to look at it straight away. (I think we were due for a bit of luck).
Again it is amazing how you can hide a cache and make it blend in beautifully with it's surroundings.
Thanks Mister Doctor for the sneaky hide, the clever construction and the aptly themed decoration. We are giving it another favourite point.
Chiefton!!!

#48 well hidden my dad checked there but didnt find it then I sat down and found it TFTC
Had the place to myself so made for a fast find. Shielded the nearby muggle bus driver from what I was doing and quickly signed the log. Nice concealment.
Found with PapaGrouch. While in the area we stopped to find this one. Quiet at GZ on this very hot Saturday afternoon. We looked about and I soon spotted the cleverly concealed cache, a quick application of the magnet and we were signing the log. Another ingenious hide that I haven't seen before. TFTC
Very nicely thought through.
Well done, blends in really well.
Didn’t take too long to spot it though.
TFTC, another Favorite Point coming your way!

Thanks for placing the cache Mister Doctor.
I tried for this about 1 week back but 2 muggles at GZ made any search imposible. Today this cache dictated my morning ride and I had 2 ideas on what the CO may have done for this hide. Thankfully one was correct and it was well executed as are all of this COs hides.
Thanks to Mister Doctor for the fun and the adventure.

Dam this one was rough I had four of my soldiers searching with me for maybe five ten minutes then I went another ten no luck. I know it is there somewhere and I will be back
I had to get out and grab a cache and decided ones along the train line would be the best choice today
Both this and the last were quick pickups

We came over a few days before to do some geocaching in the area first!

When it's 10:30pn and you have 20 minutes until the train, what do you do? Well the answer is obviously to go find a geocache. Found this one nice and quick after sussing out the obvious spots. Nice little hide. Tftc
SideTracked find 130.
A quick find; perhaps the quickest today. I got lucky. Made it back to the station with eight minutes to spare. Cache and log are good. Favourite point. TFTC Mister Doctor.

It was nice to have a cool place to sit after the long walk. I always feel these things are built, and no one uses them - what a waste. I looked under all the benches, then sat down to read some logs - but who did I see there? Very nice design on this cache. Signed and replaced, all is good.
