Finally!!!Thanks to antanna who confirmed for me i was looking in the right area!
I saw lots of DNFs but thought I'd make my way up these stairs anyway and have a wee look. Coords a bit off but the hint bang on. Didn't even need to worry about the spiders. Cache is tucked away nice and dry.
Had to wait for the muggles to pass, as it was very busy this afternoon. Using the clue we had in hand quite quickly. I wonder how far up the river floods here? TFTC
Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. All good here. Threw a 3 with the diceCheers, Cympull.
After searching for a couple of minutes I decided to sit down and that's when my daughter spotted it! Quick find, signed and put backtftc!
After completing the Etherlord trail Capperz continued on his way and I headed into town. After some quick shopping I had a little time to burn to get to a reasonable dinner time so headed town to the river to find two close caches.
This was my final find for today and took me far longer than it should've. It turned out to be at the first place I looked but I tried about 10 other places before finally finding it.
T F T C JoeyGE0.

Whether I was getting my left or right wrong, but I could not find the cache, better luck next time, thanks JoeyGE0
Swung by Mr flood today to keep the numbers ticking over.
Thanks for the placement and the smiley

We went for a walk along the river trail with some muggle friends this morning and this was one of the few caches we hadn’t previously found. In fact it was our muggle friend, a previous deputy mayor of NZ’s capital city, who was the one who spotted it and was very pleased at doing so! #6340. TFTC.
#12,857. I was one of the previous DNF's at the original spot. So good to see the cache has moved to a more suitable place where it hopefully wont be a victim of flooding. There were muggles sitting at GZ as I approached but luckily they left just as I got to the stairs. Found the cache after a short search. Signed it at last. Thanks JoeyGE0 for the cache.
A nice quick stop and find. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I cruised around today, picking up the odd cache on our journey around Palmerston North. The weather was good most of the day, and the traffic was OK too.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. .

Found with JoeyGE0. I have now made my own account and am logging the caches I have found to keep my account up to date. This is a real account. I placed the cache back as found, TFTC thanks JoeyGE0 putting this Traditional cache out!

Summer Geocaching Road Trip - Day 3 - Palmerston North to Gisborne - definitely put the road in road trip today. It's been a while since I've been off on a road trip and this one has been on the cards for quite a while. I plan to visit some parts of the country where I've done very little caching before and hope to complete the qualification for a challenge cache in Nelson. Before I hit the road I had time for breakfast, a catchup with a friend and a few caches finds. This was the first one I came to this morning. All good here. Found as per the hint. TFTC, Biggles.
Been in Christchurch for over 3 weeks so thought I might stop by some of my caches that haven’t had much attention from me, the CO: Replaced with waterproof paper.

Continuing my bike ride, came up from below and almost immediately spotted this before continuing along the trail, nice hide, cheers
I was surprised to DNF this as I was biking eastward from my starting point and it has another one of those ambiguous hints! I didn't want to burn too much time on any one cache so I headed off and had another look as the last stop on the way back. I found it straight away this time. Geocaching is like that sometimes and there have been many times when a second visit on the same journey is what's required for me to find it. All good here after all. TFTC.
Two day trip to Palmy with the family for a holiday break and to visit the Lido Swimming Pool for the geokids. Did a few caches on the way there, whilst there and unfortunately none successful on the way back. Did with Mycro Man and Ezratar. Quick and easy find on an early evening walk before dinner.. T4TC

Getting to the end of the biking part of this year, a couple more to find, meeting Mrs Geckoh at the bridge carpark.
No worries with this one, a quickly located hide, well above the flood level I would say.

Next cache on my list was this little beauty which I found with no problems. Earlier I had attended Edvern's end of year event at the Esplanade. Tftc.
A quick find on the traipse up the steps! Back home for tonight. Loving this beautiful weather!
13:30 The last of the day for me, time to head back to Wellington now. TFTC JoeyGE0 for placing this cache, number 12001 for me.
Staying in Palmy for a few weeks of work. Great to have new caches since I was last here. Always enjoy the walk along the river and even better if it results in a smiley. Sure I’ve been here before for a previous cache. This one was straight forward. If it floods up to here we will all need help. Cache and log all fine. Thanks JoeyGE0 for the smiley.
Classic case of seeing no one until you get to GZ and then everyone comes along. Easily sniffed out by geohound as well, tftc!
Found it!
Out on a walk with the geohound around Hokowhitu and through the Esplanade. Found it quickly, I could see it in the open so tucked it away more securely
Neck of the container too small for any of the large TBs I am carrying around so they’ve just visited this cache

A quick easy find beside a water gauge which we hope doesn't reach its maximum. TFTC
Found while out on my bike on a cool but very pleasant, calm morning. Thanks JoeyGE0 for this neatly hidden container - a quick find thanks to the helpful hint.
I certainly hope the Flood never gets up to this level, but with Global warming etc . etc . one does just wonder a little bit .
I was out on a very quick bike ride and went a little further along to locate these two newer caches. i did have trouble thinking which is left or right ? did i face the view so going down the steps or treat it as going up but eventually i did locate it.
i took nothing except some photos and left nothing . All was well with this cache . thank you for this cache .

Quick find after a bike rise along the track with the kids. Miss 5 was excited to find it before me! TFTC
Noted this had been replaced so swung by when passing and found it straight away. Added my name to the other recent finders and replaced as found. Plenty of water in the river today!
There's been hardly any caching by me during this month of July this year, one of my lowest yields, but hey. Reason being lots of rain and poor weather, and me having intentions in August to tidy up and improve my calendar stats. Headed out on a 'loop' of sorts today looking to mop up some straggler caches out back of Foxton and a trip for another Geotour cache out Shannon way. Along the way here and there I placed four new caches which should be published next weekend, and plenty of cool scenery sighted as I admired the snowy tops of the Tararuas and Ruahines (from afar). Thanks to all COs for their hides.

Must be very scary if the waters ever reach the highest point on here! An easy find and a nice way to finish my morning around the riverside and parks. TFTC.
#14,151. A short walk along the Te Araroa Trail (Palmerston North section) in Hokowhitu, Palmerston North. Fortunately, GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and high and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.Thanks for the geocache placement, and for bringing us to this site, and .T h a n k s. .f o r. .t h e. .c a c h e..M a u r u u r u. .k o e. .n u i. .a t u. .h o k i. .t e. .k e t e r o k i.
Out for a morning walk along the bridal track. Nice to have another cache in the area. Great view of the river from up high. Cache nicely hidden and dry, so signed log and replaced as found.
thanks for the nice quick find, had to wait an make sure no muggles were around before making the find.
We enjoyed walking and and geocaching along the river and in The Esplanade today. There was the occasional muggle but mostly we had fortunately chosen a pretty quiet time.
This was a fairly straightforward find using the coordinates, the hint and a bit of careful looking and stretching. We used to have a stage in a multi nearby so were familiar with this spot. All was good with the cache and we returned as found. TFTC JoeyGE0

The EtherClan moved to a new Castle last weekend, and I'm needing to get out of the house to take a break from the sight of cardboard boxes.
[@Mart0r](http://coord.info/PR1272GD) and his family came for dinner last night and somehow left some of his minions behind, so they returned this morning to collect them...
They were discussing a family hike, which seemed like an excellent way for me to get out of the house (with my minions).
We parked at the "new" bridge and walked along the riverbank towards this cache.
With a 4YO, 5YO, 7YO, 10YO, and 3x 12YOs, this proved to be an exercise in patience (least it become an exercise in patients), but we finally arrived at GZ.
The minions were stomping around on the gangway, which made our search anything but stealthy, as well as acoustically abhorrent for us, but Mart0r made the find and we got the flood out of there.

Thanks JoeyGE0 for another cool cache hidden in a great location.
Sitting on the steps I was able to pick a time when no muggles were approaching
Thanks for hiding so many geocaches - I enjoy finding them!!

It had been a hugely busy last few days for me. I have friends (geocachers) in Palmy who have moved home this weekend after 10 years in their old place. It's amazing home much you can accumulate, which I know only too well myself!
So after all the efforts of the last 3 days, I took an hour off for some 'me' time this arvo, to spend some quiet time alone and maybe find a few caches, including this one.
I'd read previous logs about the original positioning of this cache. I don't think I need to add anything more there. This new location is much better, although it is very hard to be stealthy here so it will be interesting to see how long this one lasts. I have found a cache here before some years ago, and remember taking an age to find due to the constant presence of Muggles. Thanks for the smiley though.

I am absolutely sure I found a cache here previously and the location absolutely deserves a hide. This time I was accompanied by GAR and our dog. I made the find not long after getting close to GZ. It was at this point along our walk that GAR offered to turn back and meet me further on with the car - I am still having a bit of difficulty after breaking my foot last year and can't walk as fast as he'd like so this was a good compromise. Thanks for the hide JoeyGE0!
After failing to find the first time, had to give it a go at these new co-ordinates & thought given location might be best to do when no one is around so just after 05:00 I headed out to go hunting, by 05:20 found signed & back in place.
Thank you for the cache.

Tried to collect cache from rocks but couldn’t find it myself! I spend 15 minutes
It’s definitely here, feel free to come and have a look
If you do find it please put in a easy spot for me to collect
Thanks

Despite the controversy around this cache I decided to have a look anyway. I only spent about 10 minutes peering in and under rocks near the coordinates. Nothing showed up in that time so decided not to continue the search. Just as a counter to the negative comments there are similar caches elsewhere that are hidden in a mass of rocks. They have not been subject to the same level of negative feedback. Rocky garden in Levin (GC82JWF) has had 58 finds and 19 DNF's. Its not easy to find a cache hidden under a pile of rocks outside a public building on a city street. Ever tried looking for any of G2's numerous camo rocks hidden in crib walls or rocky volcanic shorelines in Auckland? The list goes on. If rock wall hunting is not your thing then move on. Don't abuse the hider. Others might enjoy the challenge of a difficult seatch.
Weren’t angry! Just pointless!
Just because one *can*, doesn’t imply one *should* place a geocache in any given spot.
I located lots of reasonable places where one could’ve placed a geocache. Why is there dumped concrete with steelwork here? That’s possibly an interesting story to tell. Where did it come from, and what was happening here that led to it being here?
**But never a micro in such a place. Pointless!**

Anyone could hide a MICRO beneath a rock in a field of rocks with not so accurate coords IMHO. Unless the rock has (a) depression, the cache name is ludicrous. Don't even get me started on clicking on a link without adhering to the guideline of assuring us there is no danger in clicking on said link.
Teamwork required? I don't think that's relevant, unless that's the only way to find this cache.
This was not fun and is hereby consigned to my Ignore list.

Spent nearly 2 hours first thing this morning (before coordinates updated) & found nothing except slippery rocks that took a toll while hunting for a rock with depression, unfortunately they all claimed to be happy. Actually went mostly 10 plus meters out from original coordinates with not luck & nothing to guide in narrowing down the location. Even went nearly all the way down to the gumboots although that was more to check that they weren’t occupied as right at the water line at the time. I doubt I’ll be back even with new coordinates, if it’s still in the general vicinity as the meagre detail & clue are no help in a wall of rocks. Far more enjoyable when it has some meaning & actually findable given the cache information.
