They let a WOMAN unveil the foundation stone? In Keith? Way back when? I know SA has a history of being progressive, but it still surprises. I was meditating on this walking down to GZ, hearing school kids playing and excitedly shouting about a Golden Retriever (our dog, not me), and the frogs croaking, and before I knew it I was at GZ signing the logically hidden log. Thanks Evil Pagan Clan for this service to the soul.

**Found whilst traveling between Adelaide and Melbourne** Big GrinFound with GoodLook as we made our way back to Melbourne after spending a week or so in SA.The thing I love about caching is the interesting stories, the extra interest and attention you take when traveling, the sight-seeing, the history, the interests of the individual COs, *the fantastic photo opportunities* and sometimes finding places that even some locals dont know about. I, like most cachers, look for more that a mint tin or a container under a bush. I appreciate the time that most COs take to construct a cache and write up a comprehensive listing and to create an interesting cache. **I love traveling this big land of ours.** I love taking the roads less traveled. I love the diversity of the land, the different scenes in the different seasons, the fresh air, the open plains, the lofty vistas and the magnificent waters. I even enjoy the longer scenic walks although I'm not as young and as fit as I used to be.Wink I love the different coffee shops I find. I enjoy the times I cache with others but I usually cache on my own. Power trails just aren't as much fun by yourself. SadThe weather was glorious, the vistas stunning the tracks were dry and quiet and the geotrails were well defined. Big GrinThank you equipe de cinq for highlighting this area and for providing this game piece for our enjoyment. Appreciate your efforts. Big Grin - P*Took*: Nothing*Left*: Nothing**Warning**, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to learning new things and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Big GrinCache on! Cool**#18861**

Find # 14328I'm in the Adelaide area for the Great Leap Forward event. Not just for the days event, but making it a week long trip of caching n catching up with mates.Flying solo......Day 8. Homeward-bound.Day started off with a tree climb and a big stretch off the ground. Then a bit of a look around Mt Barker. Then it was the trails. It's been a while since I've hit a long trail and being alone it was just me and the caches to fill the rest of the day in. Some power trails are tougher than others, ie parking locations and barriers can be annoying and chew up time. But happily I managed all hurdles. Even the odd orb spider that made some tracks mazes. Happily that what I'd pland out fell into place with only a couple of DNFs.End of day was a surprise with my biggest solo grab of over 300 in a day. But I have plenty more trails in SA to utilise if I want to better that score TFTC The Evil Pagan Clan

A fitness Centre in a church interesting. My final cache to find in Keith. Such a great name for a town. The local wallabies watched on as I found this one with a stick to remove the spider webs. Its not been a good day for me and spiders! Im going to have nightmares.

Continuing on with my South Australian caching tour and the mad collection of caches in the state. I am again part of the BOLD 7 team doing the mad assault on as many caches as we can. Today is going to be a mad long day as I am driving to Mt. Gamber and surrounds to chase some LGAs and some special caches. So glad to have finished off over the 300 of the Bike series, the ice cream cone art was fun, the anna tommy art was hot, the stayla challenges were cool. Now to move onto a different area of the state. OH the big Lobster is on the cards today. Love a Big Thing rings true today. First off today is the morning event. Was nice to see so many people turn up to the event. From there it was off on the drive. I am really loving the countryside of this state and the people are friendly while still watchful of you. We signed the caches as BOLD 7 and replaced them as we found them. Thanks for the hides and the great caches. Mum we will be late home.

How very exciting the big trip has finally arrived! Down from Brisbane with a host of other geo friends with plans aplenty, enough to almost see us needing to extend or make a return visit. With a day up our sleeves and a desire to fill our LGA grid some of the team split away to go on a massive LGA run down to Mount Gambier and back. Id love to say it was a fully researched trip, but it ended up being a more spontaneously planned trip. Some areas we sought the favourites, others the cache type and sometimes just the well maintained and accessible. I particularly loved this day as this is a region I spent a lot of my Christmases and Easter visiting my grandparents, so the towns brought back fond memories.Thank you for your cache which has added to my wonderful caching holiday.

Three of us heading to LGA hunt today. Lots of scenery and enjoying our impressive country. Thanks to all the SA COs for fab caches!

This find was almost a retrieve from the car, but I needed the exercise so I got out of the car to get it. Luckily itd take very long to finish this multi, as it was getting late in the day and we had a fair distance to travel to our accommodation in Tailem Bend.

#19201 - 2:16:00 PM; Day two of "The Great Leap Forward" road trip. A last minute change of plans due to my usual partner in crime becoming unavailable saw me heading off in the geomobile and not by air as previously arranged. After a night in Beaufort, I continued the journey west through Ararat, Great Western, Stawell, Dadswells Bridge, Horsham, Dimboola, Nhill and Kaniva, where I was joined by feathertop, before crossing the border into South Australia. It was then on to Bordertown, Keith and Murray Bridge, before returning to Tailem Bend and the accommodation followed an event to wrap up the daily mission. All caches were found in good condition and returned as found once the log was signed. After a similar find in Bordertown, this one provided an easy find in Keith! TFTC equipe de cinq Smile

quick solve and find. Found while doing the nearby ad lab.
Out with Mogni for a extended weekend. We came down to Mount Gambier for Friday night and then Beachport for the second night. We came down for hevwalker's 60 th birthday. We cached our way down on the Friday and placed a few as well. We made it to Penola before the rain started non stop, up until then it was on and off. Saturday was worse in the day but the weather improved by night time. Sunday was easily the best day of the 3 days.

Day 13 of our loop through Vic and SA then home.

Today we were on the move from Bordertown to Tailem Bend. fitzy_1965, albida33 & I headed out early to get the caches in Mundulla before heading for Tailem Bend. We signed as MAF or FAM to save room.

Our aim was to collect favourite points, oldies, AL’s and any interesting caches in-between. Once set up in Tailem Bend, we headed out for some Ice Cream’s, cleaned up Happy Armpits and found some Wandering Heroes. All up a great day before having dinner with my cousin & Uncle who had travelled up from Adelaide to see us.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Southern Autumn adventure Day 14. Post Mega South East SA trip Day 8. It was another travel day today, but first Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and I went to Mundulla. Logs were signed F.A.M or similar. After a lap of Mundulla it was back to camp for the final pack up and hook up of the van and off we headed to Tailem Bend. There was opportunity for some stops along the way and a snack here and there. Once In Tailem Bend we headed straight out to hit some of the series we wanted in the area, firstly ice-cream which was another set of puzzles that have been burning a hole in our collections for some time. After two more series in the area we headed back to town for dinner with a cousin.

Keith was the first stop on the way today and along with a snack there were a few multi's to be done.

Thanks for the cache equipe de cinq

Rutherglen Mega and South Australia Trip Day 13. Today we headed out to grab our last few wanted caches around Mundulla, before trekking from Bordertown to Tailem Bend, setting up camp again, and heading straight out again for more of our targeted caches including the Ice Cream series of (solved) puzzles. This was the next find of the day, and a quick find once at GZ. Signed, replaced, and then we headed off to the next one on our list.

No longer looks like a hairdresser, but the "WHoley Health Club and Gym" is certainly a good use for a house of heavenly focus Cool

Much appreciation for the cache placement equipe de cinq . Cool

--------------------------------------

Do please take care out there,
it's a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and objects falling from trees Surprised
...... but a cache a day still keeps the boredom away Wink

--------

Most of our caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids.
No apples or other fruit needed Big Grin An apple a day doesn't keep the doctor away, we've tried that Razz

----------
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Wink (Covid cancels caching!)
Keep a safe distance - clean and cache the countryside Big Grin

It's awesome of all those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas,
in sensible safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun, and interesting Cool

Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Wink Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!!

Big Grin [:o)] Wink

The end. For now...

... until next time! Wink

Well there was an event I saw published in Bordertown hosted by Roaming Howie and since I was able to have 4 days off I decided to head over to attend the event and then to also do a few of the On Ya Bike series to finish off my D/T loop.
Throw a few oldies into the mix for my Ausmer grid and it was going to be a busy weekend with lots of Km’s.
So after attending the event, finding the ones required on the OYB series, surviving the heat then wind and having a good nights sleep last night today is a new day.
After checking my map I realised I had missed a challenge series yesterday so I came back up this way to find those ones.
I’m now heading back in the right direction with a few hours delay.
Collecting caches that I come past as I have a bit more time on my hands today.
A nicer day today with the heat turned down a bit.
Another church in a country town that has at least found a new lease of life now that the congregation has left.
Found the numbers did the sums and off to GZ to add my name to the log.

Big things are continuing to happen! Are you joining the fun again in 2023?

Happy to have another one of these multis ticked off.

A big day today. Started with a 5k run in Frankston and a new LGA, another new LGA in Melton for lunch, the big Koala, a few challenge caches in Dimboola and an oldie and finished in Keith with an evening drive.

What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.

equipe de cinq, I found Used 2B a Church Micro #0313 - Keith today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

This afternoon I headed off from Adelaide to attend the Mega event at Whittlesea on the weekend. I gave myself a couple of days to get there so that I could find a few caches of interest along the way.

Whittlesea Mega Wobble and Wade Tour: Day 1: No Entry - Wrong Way. Surprised

Once again myself and Anymules headed to Victoria for a Mega event ignoring the very familiar sign at the border. Wink As usual despite leaving early and only wanting to get to Ballarat we arrived at our overnight digs just as it was getting dark. [^] We stopped for a few new caches and lab caches, many caches were found and unless something stood out these will be generic logs. Cool

First leg on our way homeward from Tailem bend to St Arnaud with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
The forecast wasn't good but the rain mainly held off while we were caching.
Did a pile of multis, and a couple of AdLabs on our way.
We has completed the other Used 2B last trip, so that left this cache.
This looked like it might be a gym now.
Nice spot for the final.

#20297. Day 22 of our holiday in SA and sadly we are leaving for Victoria today. We turned the day into an 8.5 hour travelling day - you know how it is, when you keep stopping for caches. Did several multis, a couple of AdLabs, had a detour to Mundulla and generally threw the schedule way out of whack. Saw many fields of gold - such a gorgeous sight and many grey and threatening skies and rainbows. We shall return of course.

What a gorgeous facade on this ex-church. Seems it has changed once again and is now a health club and gym. Off to a nice hide where we were watrched by a muggle wallaby.

Thanks equipe de cinq

Logging a find as part of the beta tester crew for this cache. Make sure you have got the maths correct.

I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count.

This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and a Samsung S8. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs...

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke für den Cache. Gracias por el caché. Bedankt voor de cache. Kiitos kätköstä. Zikomo posungira. Terima kasih untuk cache. Hvala cache. Köszönöm a cache. Nga mihi mo te keteroki. Dankie vir die kas.

Cache #11691
Heading home to Adelaide today after visiting family in Melbourne for the weekend.
Had a list of caches that would be looked for, starting with four Used to Churches, then a Game Set and Match and finally two newish traditionals within 42K of home.
This one was the third. Again I was worried by the previous DNF log. Data collection and GZ calculation was straight forward and once at GZ an obvious spot that matched the hint was quickly spotted. But there was no cache to be found. Had a good look around but there wasn't another likely spot or a cache to be found. Tried ringing the CO but was out of luck there too. So decided to leave a replacement in the obvious spot, tucked it away and covered with some natural camo making sure it couldn't be seen.
Thanks to The Evil Pagan Clan for putting out this cache for us to find.

*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*

A quick multi before crossing the border into Victoria - Victorian multis are harder, don’t you think? I tried to find a google image of the foundation stone to maybe circumvent backtracking, and was fed an incorrect date. That will teach me not to take short cuts. There was no backtracking anyway. Cache in good shape, but the listed TB is AWOL.

Thanks for this multi Evil Pagan Clan.

Another stop as we head East. Data collection was straightforward. Then it was off to GZ where accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks The Evil Pagan Clan for the cache.
