WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 53 - Bunbury Day 6. For my last day in Bunbury, I chose to start the day with a cafe breakfast in town. With five to choose from in one block I was spoilt and had a great meal. The first part of my caching day was in the suburbs just south of Bunbury, with the usual mix of success and failure. Over my whole day it was almost one DNF for every three finds. I was happy that some caches have had maintenance recently, so that is good news. My afternoon was supposed to be a country road series, but that was troubled as well. There is a huge new road going in that made accessing some of the areas I wanted a very convoluted exercise, but in the end, I made it to the site of all the caches I had in mind. However, even out here there were more DNFs than I would have expected. I finished the day visiting three challenge caches before going back to finish a cemetery issue and get fuel for tomorrows drive to Freemantle. I have really enjoyed my time in Bunbury, big enough for plenty of services, not too big to be difficult. Not to mention lots and lots of great caches.Dowdells Line was my main goal, and even here it was up and down. The road was a little busier than I expected. Thanks for the cache Rach247838.18 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2014 Compass Rose Fortune A#304**Albida**

Collie to Dardelup
Just an overnight stop, The 1st time we had visited this area.
We had planned on doing more challenge caches but the roadworks in the area stopped that.
We enjoyed travelling along the farming roads
Thankyou to the CO's for holding this event

Out and about with Pollythecollie and Iateyourhorse in some beautiful autumn weather. Most of the caches in this series found easily and quickly. Thanks Rach2
Finally finished this series. The geokids have left some stash along the way.

Another find for the last of this series. Got a couple to come back to in cooler times.
It’s been a while since I spent any decent time on the caching trails. With a day off from work I thought I’d head out for a morning of finds.

On a Winters afternoon out and about with Geodogs M and R, we stopped by to grab this. Tftc guys
We came along today in our best geocaching footwear (gumboots) and needed them, as after the recent rain and some more last night many of the road sides and drains were very wet.
This series was along a lovely country road drive. All the caches were found OK and the logs had both names added to record our visit. Thanks go to Rach2 for placing this series.

We spent the day with the family in the Ferguson Valley and dropped in to grab this one on the way home. We only had time for one and will grab the others another time.
We started searching the wrong spot first but shifted our search after coming up empty and soon found the cache.

This cache was the second of two targeted for today’s exploration. Being only a couple of hundred metres down the road meant the drive was quick to this cache.
The cache itself was quickly found. I managed to retrieve, sign the log and hide before any cars came along the road. Given I’d been exploring I chose to continue to do so and followed a different route back home.

We picked up some rubbish along the way and we had a bag full by the time we got to Collie. All the caches were quick finds. Nice to run into a few teams in our travels!
