Side tracked again...although Garfield is almost en-route to my destination further south. Cache found easily.....it stared at me! Now its off to Leongatha. TFTC and the fun.
Log is water logged! Thanks for the quick grab and find. Thanks for find 326!
Found with PapaGrouch. We had plans to go and do some gadget caches today, but with a late start we didn't have time, so headed out to pick up a few SideTracked caches instead. Our third find. Parked the car and wandered along to GZ where the cache was quickly spotted. The log was a little damp on one side but I was able to stamp a dry spot on the other side. TFTC
I can't visit these small towns without clearing out any caches (and I like the sidetracked series). The cache was found without issues other than the lack of a footpath. The logbook is damp, but it remains serviceable. Thanks for placing it here!
Found by The EmpireThe Empire cruised across Victoria's vast landscapes, a journey fuelled by anticipation and the thrill of reconnecting with The Rebel, their paths converging in a legendary meeting and a Parma at the pub in Warragul. As I drove further east, I passed through several small towns, each with its own unique charm. The lights of the towns twinkled in the evening dusk, adding to the picturesque journey. Entering the Gippsland region, the landscape became even more scenic. Rolling hills and lush greenery stretched as far as the eye could see. The winding roads required more attention, but they also offered breathtaking views at every turn. I rolled down the windows slightly, letting in the crisp, fresh air that was invigorating and refreshing. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7, another SideTracked cache off the list!-M
Nice little hide for a quick find! Log a little damp but still singable! Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for a nice quick find.A train pulled in just as we were signing the log.TFTC
Here with friends at una's for brunch (highly recommend btw - amazing coffee and generous and delicious meals) after walking around Mt Cannibal to work up an appetite. A beautiful day here in Garfield and plenty of people around. This was far enough away from crowd unlike Remembering the Fallen!thanks so much for your cache here Pinkpiggy7regardskbucky
Found it with rex46 On a very hot mon afternoon on the way to have coffee with friend while we had a bit of time
Still road tripping in the east and caching too with Jack and Purrfect Di. Australia Day, Invasion Day, Survival Day, Annoyed 'cos u can't buy an overseas made aussie flag day = Much Confusion Day ... whatever you're celebrating or not, it's still a day for caching! Just remember be nice to each other and respect the many varied views. Every day is Caching Day - so off we go!!! [:o)]Started the day raining in Lakes Entrance, ended sunny in Ferntree Gully Cats cruising down the highway. See a sign to Garfield... Couldn't resist !!! Also great to find another Sidetracked cache. Come to SA and find the Abandoned Railways series... which will expand this year! Maybe we'll get sidetracked too... Thank you Pinkpiggy7 for this cache hide and ongoing care and maintenance FAV ! Just becuase it's in GARFIELD - and it's not a mint tin! ---------------- ----------------------In a dangerous world filled with rusty old mint tins and solid caches falling from trees - - - a cache a day keeps us agile... sort of --------Caches are logged using the resources of gsak, garmin, and androids, occasionally AI too! (And a little rubber stamp ) Work gets in the way - and some may take longer to log than others due to mixed technology and need for sleep! The skill and talent of some Zenior Zombies helps, and maybe a spot of luck too [:o)]----------Cache carefully and make sure Travel Bugs are the Only bugs you share and pass on Clean as you go and cache the countryside Big thanks to those placing quality caches out and about around our country areas, in nice safe places and containers especially! - it keeps our game fun for all Of course we do appreciate if you actually did read all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, or so we've been told! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where it is I could do it and go back to normal logs again ! If you find the challenge let me know and perhaps we can put an end to these long logs !!! Maybe not though - as someone actually did read to the end and alerted me to just a project GC badge that requires long logs [:o)] Well at least it's not as bad as finding a mint tin! Did you get that... stop putting out rusty mint tins, just stop it, now!!! C'est fini... For now... ... until tomorrow! Viva Mexicana ! Thanks for the caches beyond the wall [:o)] PS:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------GCA1DNA - Great Leap Forward ... or is it backward... it takes an extra day to get to March 29.2.24 The Mega Leap Event of the year. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------And don't forget to put the SA June Long Weekend in your diary for 2024 too... fun and funky finding with a little competition too
Find 3224Having now tucked into a nice lunch at the Garfield Hotel we wandered over to this one.A quick scan of the area and my eye focused in to a place. Yes the cache was there ok. Log signed and all back safe again. Thanks Pinkpiggy7
A nice quick find and then we were back on our way.On a number of trips to and from Melbourne we took the opportunity to divert and collect a cache or two on our journey. These are some of the caches we found on these trips.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Pinkpiggy7.**SKI Pair****
Found without camouflage amongst the beautiful oaks. He they provide lovely shade. Found in good condition with genghicat. Tftc
Haha I got stumped around this one. Really that was actually a very smart idea. I thought it was in the sewers.
Find number 12578 at 10:40:02am on Tuesday the 17 October 2023Out on the geocaching journey on my way to visit my mum, after a three month journey north to Cape York.Found quickly and grabbed as I glanced past the hiding spot on the way to the station.**Thanks for placing this cache Pinkpiggy7**---If you are looking for some new caches to find, explore the nominees for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The Nominations Geocaching List is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)!Voting is also now open for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. Date: October 7, 2023 Time: 1:42 PMFind #14243After parkrun in Churchill, I was on the way home so decided to stop at a couple of SideTracked caches on the way. Nice quick one here.Massive thanks go to Pinkpiggy7 for placing this one.
Working my way towards geocache number 5555 and still needed a few more geocaches before heading for my target cache.
Looks like some local kids are building a BMX bike jump here. They are even using cans to support the dirt and there shovels are still just laying around.
Thanks for the cache Pink Piggy 7

After attending an interstate funeral (virtually - technology these days!), I set off for a nice long drive to the event in Bunyip. A lovely dinner with good company was had, and I set off for a couple of other finds on my way home.
I arrived near GZ and came across many shovels and tools from what looks to be a makeshift bike jump track.
Not sure if it was the weather, but the gps was sending me to the wrong side of the small clearing, but I widened my search and soon found the cache.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Headed out to another SideTracked event, this time in Bunyip. Of course, we stopped for a few caches along the way. Picked up 4B Ninjas for a lovely catch-up too.
Arrived just as it was getting dark. The shovels were a bit of a concern, but nothing devious here apparently. Just kids and their mountain bike jumps.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Pinkpiggy7

Geocaching in the dark is always fun. Thanks Geoturtle and Oz Hockey Chick for taking me for the ride.
Came along with goingplaces2 to gather some more sidetracked caches for the collection. We had a good day, though wet, with both names being added to each log found. All was good here. TFTC.
Today we decided to get sidetracked with ilook4geo and concentrate on some of the many sidetracked caches available on the eastern side of the city and further out. It rained of course, but that did not hinder our plan too much. This was a nice quick and easy find and the log soon had two more names added to it. Thanks go to Pinkpiggy7 for adding to the sidetracked series by placing this cache.
Stopped at Garfield for a little break. Nice little town to wandering around during wet weather. Nice hide. All good. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for placing this cache.
SideTracked find, number 162.
Another quick find. Cache and log are good. I added some leaves as a cover. TFTC Pinkpiggy7.

While on my way home, I took the sidetrack rather than the main highway, so that I could stop off at a few more caches, this being one of them.
A quick stop off at this one, a likely spot was spied in the GZ area and the cache was soon in hand.
**Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for placing this cache.**

This was the last of the Garfield trio for me today and it was a very quick find at 15:50. Just the way I like 'em.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks again Pinkpiggy7.

A lovely little cache. Easy to find and it a good, no observed location. Thank you
In one last big day out for the year, buhfuhguh and I sent off 2022 with a trip to Warragul in the morning before gradually making our way around to Hastings to secure some of the last Community Celebration Events available to us alongside some miscellaneous local hides.
Adding another SideTracked cache to my tally today, and one that feels like it could be miles from a train station!
This is a surprisingly cute area and demonstrates how unique regional stations can be compared to their urban counterparts.
The pair of us took a short wander through the trees before I spotted a likely hiding spot and then the container perched within it.
Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for the hide!

Out and about today with Brain in tow. With two celebration events on at a reasonable distance we decided why not. So with Warragul and Hastings routes mapped out we were off caching. Perfect weather and smiles about, probably should have put sunscreen on earlier in the day. Regardless had a great day out with great company. Thanks for the cache and the little adventure

This one was a quick easy find as we stopped on our way to our Christmas BBQ with the family. TFTC
Short stroll in-between rain while I wait for the electricity to be reconnect at home..cache located and signed. Nice secluded spot.
I like the idea of the SideTracked geocaches. Today I found myself travelling east and was able to collect three of the series. As I walked to GZ I met up with some lovely locals and had a chat. The cache was soon discovered and was safe and sound in its hide. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for placing the cache.
In Melbourne to attend the Mega at Whittlesea with tmann421.
Enjoyed the short trip around locating a few caches before heading to the event

We came over a few days before to do some geocaching in the area first!
ww9 and I had a great time and this was a cache we located.
Short walk, fairly quick find in a nice hidden area.

Out for work and some caches Great area and cache. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.
We are on our way to Bunyip for an event and looking for a few caches on the way. We probably could have parked a little closer but a short walk brought us to GZ. The cache was quickly found and log signed. We were a little concerned about a nearby resident being in the front of their property but a distraction occurred when a cyclist managed to misjudge the footpath and end in the front garden! Thanks to Pinkpigg7 for the ecache.
Almost at Bunyip for tonight’s event and can see a bit of activity already in this log book

A very interesting day in what some people call the outer Eastern suburbs of Melbourne! We worked on collecting more senior karate belts, searched for bunyips around billabongs, remembered the fallen who had served our country in wars past and tried hard not to be side tracked by these interesting old stations and the rail history.
Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for placing caches in interesting locations.

First SideTracked find with n0w0rries on the way back to the city, and fourth for the day.
Spot on coordinates meant a nice easy find.
Thanks, Pinkpiggy7

As the (adopted) owner of one of Melbourne's SideTracked caches, how could I not attend the anniversary event in Bunyip?
Also, how could I not get sidetracked on the way?
Sunshine's on the way, right?
Anyway, after collecting a couple more in the series and then, appropriately, getting sidetracked one more time by a fun set of trail caches when I was most of the way to where I'd arranged to be picked up in Pakenham, n0w0rries ferried me from Hallam to the event.
Of course via the SideTracked cache in town.

Thanks for adding to the series Pinkpiggy7.
Thanks for adding to the series Pinkpiggy7.
The **SideTracked 2022 - Bunyip - 15th Anniversary** event that I organised was *done and dusted* and it was time to head home... but instead of rushing off down the highway, I decided to take the *old road* beside the railway line... and stop for a cache or two along the way.
Garfield was my next stop... again, an easily found cache although you did have to watch where you put your feet in the dark.
Thanks **Pinkpiggy7** for this cache.

Another Sidetracked cache in a lovely location. We enjoyed the little Rockville village of stones. Some are beautifully created! Thanks for bringing us here today Pinkpiggy7.
The first of our SideTracked caches, something new for locus cache and I, now we have another type of cache to find.
Found on our way to the SideTracked event at Bunyip tonight.

Another caching day out with Omegaman1971, we were keen to do some of the side Tracked caches that had been popping up on the map, it was amazing to see some of the transformation at some of the locations, I had a bus run that went from warragul to Nar Nar Goon so I know those stations and areas well, we also enjoyed he Remembering caches by Pink Piggy and a coupe of other caches that were on route.
This is one of the caches found today.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache.

Catching up with Rebel Acts after some work in the morning nearby.
Haven't cached around here for ages, was great to see some new caches.
I'm really loving this Sidetracked series, great to see so many CO's jumping on board.
Cheers for the cache.

After just missing out on the 1st to find on this one as we were already heading back to Pakenham when it got released and found, we came here today during school holidays to knock this one off our ‘to find Sidetracked’ list.
The day turned into a beautiful sunny day with lots of people out enjoying it. The cache was found safe and dry and we enjoyed a morning of local caching.
Thanks for adding to an enjoyable day out.
Thanks for adding to an enjoyable day out.
This was a nice quick find on our way to Moe although the train startled us somewhat. Thanks for the cache.
I think that the train tooted just as we found the cache which definitely startled us. Thanks for the cache.
After a road trip to Sydney in the last few days to find a golden dragon, I also finally had Australia's oldest cache found so I needed a cache placed in June to qualify for a Jasmer challenge I had signed in SA last year so headed out along the highway with my geokid to get sidetracked with a few of the new caches along the railway line.
Was a bit worried it would be near the shops when driving towards but no such problems. Love the beautiful fungi growing at GZ. Surprised to be 2TF here too.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
