I needed a nice quick find after work today, and this fit the bill perfectly! This may just be the coldest Auckland night of the year so far, and I made the mistake of leaving my beanie in the car. Thankfully, I made a nice quick find at GZ, and was back to the warmth of the car fairly quickly. A sneaky little hide here, TFTC!
Been really enjoying my morning so far , nice to be out in the fresh air, looking for caches .No probs here but it is getting warm Tftc
Today was a day when a few members of Team SEAC managed to align their calendars and get to achieve a few milestones. A fantastic day of fun, laughter, adventures and friendship. In late afternoon remainder of the group had headed home but we continued. While completing the nearby Adlab point, we had to come here. A nice quick find following available information. TFTC.
I'm down in Auckland for a geocaching weekend with Yvettetb. She wanted to go geocaching for her birthday and I wanted to get some big numbers to bring my December tally up. Today's plan was to do the walks in Long Bay Regional Park as well as a few others enroute. We walked 18.7Kms and got 30 or so caches. It was a good bit of exercise and quite productive cachewise too. There were no muggles around so we got down on the ground and thought we'd searched everywhere a magnetic mint tin could be hidden. Unfortunately we didnt manage to find this one today. Thanks anyway
We searched and searched but this cache was not found by us today, will need to come back to the area another day and try our luck then..
**19,784**Mrs Geckoh got sent to retrieve this one, probably because Mr Geckoh was too busy with his coffee from the cafe nearby. What a great little area. thankfully no muggles about so cache was a super quick find. Maybe I need a naughty bench for Mr Geckoh - problem is he would probably take up root there!! TFTC
In the area dropping laval off to a competition so decided to make 'use' of the trip for me too!! Cragger joined me on this adventure.
Nice quick find, no time for coffee....there are more caches to find!!!
Thanks for the cache.

A trip to Auckland for the weekend to keep the numbers ticking over........What with Luggage catastrophes, and road closures I wondered how it was going to all turn out. Not too bad in the long run. No worries here. TFTC
Collected this on the way back to my car. Great hide, didn’t know this mini park existed until now. Trtc
Down in Long Bay with Vistra this afternoon doing a spot of caching plus the ad lab in the area. We had hoped for a dry afternoon, but managed to get caught in a shower or two. A quick find. TFTC
Out with AliGle doing some caching around Long Bay this afternoon. Unfortunately the weather was a bit mixed, so we got quite wet at times. A nice easy find here, as we completed the nearby AdLab waypoint. TFTC!
Never been to this part of Long Bay before. Quite a nice little park. Checked a few spots before the cache was found. TFTC
We are trying to get the geocaching challenge souvenir so have headed out to Long Bay this morning to do the new adventure lab and collect the other caches as we pass. Made a nice easy find at the noughty bench today.
Post CITO caching with Tramyard - we were aiming for Goat Island or Scandrett Regional Park but there was some sort of road accident that meant after sitting in traffic for ages we decided to go back a bit closer and collect some new caches around Long Bay instead.
This was the first one - nice and easy. And conveniently near a stage of the Ad Lab we were doing as well. All good here, thanks!

Team work with lumin298. The plan was to go bit more North after CITO Event but the weather and heavy congestion on SH1 didn't play a ball se we ended up for a short stroll at the Long Bay.
Easy and quick find thanks to GPS bang on!
TFTC!

Out and about today chasing numbers for a souvenir put out by HQ, need 100 caches for the month of April, and after today, will be close to around 80.
Been a long day, but it took me a while to realise on my map, there was an ad lab wp hidden under or over the trad here, I would have missed it (the trad) had I not zoomed in more. It's getting late in the afternoon, it's almost 4:30pm when I get here, I've been caching since 7am, so also getting well tired and not a little bit grumpy. ready to go home and my vodka and orange, but I want to finish this ad lab off and the caches nearby and for last.... 'that one' under the bridge, yea... not sure I'm up for that one, we'll see when I get there.
No issues with this cache, but the real big issue was I left my phone sitting on the seat right by where the cache is, thankfully realised my mistake just as I got into my van, which wasn't far away. Those mushroom seats are neat, took a selfie on one of them.

Had to wait out a few kids here before making the find, but then it was a nice easy one. Found with Jagersmum. TFTC!!!
After 2 dnf’s of yours today Flossy, I was relieved to have completely lost my mojo! I decided to end here on a high note. Tftc
Nicely done here!
Added another log sheet, the others are getting a little tatty
Thanks!

After running an errand over in Albany I decided to take advantage of the nice weather and head over to Long Bay for an extended caching walk around the park and surrounding suburb. I parked up near the playground and let the local Ad Lab and caches be my guide. After finding "the mythical mega tui" I took the pedestrian way towards this ground zero, climbing all the stairs along the way. Once at ground zero I tried one spot before finding it in the other equally likely spot. Cheers for the cache placement!
First one in a while! Nice to see some new ones around this area. Thanks to the CO.
Had the place to ourselves today and it wasn’t long before we spotted this cache. Great views from here. TFTC
Returned under cover of darkness and with a torch found the original cache had been replaced higher up than before (not necessarily by the last finder) . Have returned it to its original spot which is easier to reach if you have short arms like me.
Was a bit "noughty" this morning and sent to the bench.
Cache appears to have wandered off by itself.

We are out doing a bit of caching around Long Bay this morning. We came here and sat on the naughty noughty bench. Lucky for us it did not take 1 minute per year of age to locate the cache. Thanks.
We checked a couple of spots before gps settled and we found the cache. Great views from up here.
I was up early and had arranged to meet Mr and Mrs KC a little later on so headed here to pick up the 4 newish ones. First stop was here and managed a nice quick find. I remember when all this area was farmland and we used to do X country running from the local college. TFTC
Was going to the market this morning so walked this way round. The cache is still there.
Decided to pop here after Glyn's Event this afternoon....
Unusual features here for sure....with the paths and benches and vegetation...
Quick find with great co ords...
Beautiful sunset tonight but was too slow to get a photo...
Now to find the best way home to Ranui...
Cheers flossie for your second hide!

Just arriving back from an overnight trip to Rotorua when I was told by Flossieteacake that her second Geocache had been published so I headed for it as soon as I was off the bus. TFTC
Was out getting a couple of caches after work this afternoon, and hadn't noticed this new cache published until an hour later, which put me out of the chase for first, but headed over anyway. Nice and easy in the dark with no muggles around, a cool spot which yes must get busy at times during the day. I will have to come back and check out the cafe sometime when they are open, TFTC
