Well this was a great spot to cache.I dodged mountain bike riders on the way in.Then I admired the GZ structure. Then the hunt and what a hunt it was.I noticed a pen that I'm sure a cacher had dropped and was not retrieving in a hurry. Then I got lucky and found the cache.Oh really!! So know the fun began, lucky the view was so good.I got the hang of it eventually, then the second run was down pat, then the third run bought out the chocolates!!Fave for the fun and the spot and the view.TFTC
Challenging but fun cache great design, the Russian doll reference made sense in the end. TFTC.
Thanks for this amazing cache now we understand what the Russian doll aspect meant. Love the time and effort put into this cache was fun to solve. Found with trex
What a fun cache. We made our way down and then set about opening the cache. A real team effort was needed and it was with much joy we signed the log. Had as much fun closing the cache and replacing it. Tftc. Favourite point from us
Out caching with Lumpyjrb, it was coming to the end of the day and we thought this one was a great one to end on. After a lot of persistence we were able to get to the log. Such a great spot to see the setting sun while working on a cache. Thanks for the cache.
What an amazing cache. Great creativity in making this one. Took us quite a while to complete the maze, but great fun. TYFC
A fun afternoon in the You Yangs - initially headed out to do the lock picking cache nearby, but then realised I would have time to do this one and it would be another new D/T for me. My partner did the dirty work of extracting the container, then it was on me to get to the logbook. Was pretty slow at the start, but once I worked out how it worked and stopped making as many mistakes, it gradually got smoother. I wasn't keeping track of time but it took maybe 15-20 minutes for me to get to the log. Of course I had to go back in reverse afterwards, but that was a fair lot quicker.Beautifully constructed puzzle, especially admire it as someone who has dabbled in 3D printing. TFTC!
Found it quickly, but took a while to get into. Enjoyed the view and afternoon sunshine while solving the puzzle
After a morning of working on puzzle boxes we decided to head up here to try our luck having missed out on PacMan's awesome event. The container actually took us a little while to find, naturally being the in the last place we looked...
Then the fun began. We set a timer so that everyone could have a fair go but it was Dad who worked out a method that slowly got through the first layer. Fortunately it seemed to get easier after that and there was a great sense of satisfaction with reaching the log. Putting it back together just took a good look and some memory. Glad to get this tricky D/T completed. TFTC

With the weather going to be too hot for caching tomorrow we decided a few finds locally was on the cards after a morning of cache maintenance on Duck Island. First stop was the Little River labcache before trying our hand at a few of the clever puzzle boxes here at the You Yangs.
This was the last cache of the day but by no means the least as we really enjoyed the scenery while driving the Circuit Drive which we have not done for quite sometime and the views at GZ were just a"MAZE"ing! The fit Triton handled this field puzzle beautifully as he has had plenty of practice on the one we had printed at home so long ago. We were going to place it in the wild but thought twice about its durability as we know some cachers can be hell bent on reaching the logbook by whatever means they can, so we were happy to see yours is still in good condition.
Thanks Sims_family for another a"MAZE"ing maze in the your fun series.

I was going geocaching and I found this cache and I thought it will be easy but I was wrong. It was a good challenge to open it and the puzzle was hard to do but when I did open it and I signed the log and I was happy that I opened it. Tftc.
Little River and the You Yangs are a place we have driven past plenty of times on the way to Geelong, but never taken the time to stop and explore the area. So glad we took the time.
Another great Sims_family cache, really enjoying this series. After spotting a rather large snake as we ventured off the track, we proceeded with much caution. After retrieving the cache from its rocky crevice, we set about opening it. What a great puzzle and a favorite from us tftc

I am always amazed at what these 3 D printers can achive and of course it require a lot of skill from the operator as well. You never know what color or what you are going to encounter with these guys and then you have to watch out for the locals as well as this is their home while your scratching your head searching for a way in to sign that log.
This is a devil of a container to crack and you must allow plenty of time as it is not easy, but if you take your time and be careful and try to remember which way you moved you may eventually be able to sign the log.
OK now for the equally hard part of putting it back ready for the next cacher.
Another F.P. to add to the growing list. You must be rackng up these F.P.'s.

As always this puzzle cache was a challenge. Yes, it was amazing too! A unique play on a Russian Doll. Glad of the company here. It would be tough on your own. You certainly come up with interesting challenges for us poor mortals.
AND the You Yangs always play games with me so I did appreciate your support here.
Of course another FP coming your way for your effort in creating and placing this puzzle pice in your geo art.
Thanks ( and sorry for the late log) Sims_family

Out this afternoon with McLookers, Moonb1 and Alansee to do the 10 Puzzle Box caches so far. Afterwards, McLookers and I headed to this cache to see whether we could defeat it. I'm happy to say we did, or should I say McLookers did. I gave it a try using a systematic approach, but I got lost along the way. Once the log was retrieved and signed, it was almost as difficult to get it back together. Mr Sims, you are truly evil!!!!
My thanks to Sims_family for the cache. This one also gets a favourite.

In the area today with Muzza, Alansee and MoonB1, Muzza and I ventured on to find this one. We were warned that we could be in the park for quite a while. GZ was a stunning spot but we were concentrating on the task at hand. I could not believe it when we thought we had succeeded but it was then that the title made sense. Eventually we were victorious. A favourite for the puzzle construction (not the puzzle! ) and the view.
Thanks for placing the cache Sims_family.
I am back in the neighbourhood for my seasonal job at Avalon Airport, so headed out after work to engage in two of my favourite pastimes: mountain biking and geocaching.
I left the car near the park office and rode the plantation trails, before taking to Great Circle Drive to avoid the black diamond section of track 14 that is beyond my riding capabilities.
Back onto 14 at the top, I was close to GZ.
Rock scrambling in bike shoes is a little sketchy, but I managed to locate and extract the container without incident.
I was prepared for the many twists and turns required to extract the log, but not so much for those required to put it all back together correctly. Quite a challenge.
TFTC, the challenge, and the fabulous view Sims_family

I remember parking at this waypoint years ago for an old cache which was hidden around here. This time gz required me heading further off track though and when I first spotted where the cache was tucked away I did take a few nervous glances up the the substantial structure overhead. After quickly retrieving and even more quickly getting back out of potential rolling distance I started to work away at the cache where I could safely enjoy the amazing views. I wasn't making much progress through the first layer until I hit on a strategy and then I was able to progress through the layers and extract the log. Putting it all back together for the next person to enjoy was as much of a challenge as getting in. Thanks for the cache Sims family, a fantastic view and a very enjoyable but accomplishable challenge.
A change of plans this morning meant the day had opened up. Having spotted an event and some needed caches in the You Yangs, a new plan was hatched! Back to the Wild West again!
This one was all about being in the right place at the right time. As we arrived we could hear the voices of the CO and other cachers and joined them in signing the log for this cache.
Thanks Sims_family for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

*Cache find # 13852.*
I headed over this way today with buhfuhguh to find a few Wherigo caches and to attended the Pac-Man celebrations event.
In between we had a bit of time to find a few other caches and this one was definitely on the to do list.
Michael did all the heavy lifting on this one while I sat back and watched, eventually the log was discovered and signed.
I think this one as been the hardest one so far of these maze caches.
**Thanks to Sims_family for placing this cache.**

Thanks cache. We had trouble finding the event, and ended up close to this cache, so we were like let’s solve this and the Make it to the event after!
What we didn’t expect (well we should of give the name and it did come more apparent later) was the time we took to solve this! The view is stunning but very hot at 2:30 in the afternoon and a lack of shade! So we retreated to the shade to complete. The more and more we tried, more frustrated we got. Some times it was 1 step forward and 2 steps back!
Over a hour passes and the mozzies unbearable, the other half goes back to the car for the bug spray
For some reason a few minutes later success came or so we thought, and then I had to start again and again. Just about to finish, and a group of cachers arrived to se how we were doing including the Riddells, Ausfox and the CO Sims family. On the last notch (really this time), Ausfox unjammed and the log revealed.
Thanks for the great chat about all things caching travels etc including their new series we will finish later on!
A fab point heading your way, not sure if it’s for the fantastic view, the serenity of the location (when the MTB aren’t racing down nearby), the 2 hours of pure frustration or the fact that you had us there for so long determined for finish, or for the awesome effort that went into designing and making this cache.
Either way its deserving of more, so thanks all again!

A visit here was top of our list as soon as we noticed Pacman's event.
Or should I say revisit, as there were technical issues last time n0w0rries and I came to admire the view.
And it's a damn fine view.
But today, we retreated to the vehicles, because the mozzies are pretty fierce at the moment, and the bug repellent had not yet been applied.
And that's where the recent event host found us.
So that meant three sets of fingers.
And all three of us cracked a layer, as it happens. Which was nice.
Thanks, Sims_family, for an excellent puzzle. As if the view wouldn't have been enough to entice us here. A favourite point well earned.
It turns out that this fiendish device wasn't the most difficult puzzle of the day. That award was categorically won by the clip mechanism for the headlight bulb I needed to replace... Pacman and I went to put the cache back in place, while n0w0rries tried his hand at that one, then he had to hightail back home as he was already late, so I kept worrying away at the bugger until finally...
Gotcha!

After a late cancellation, RoamingHowie and I decided to head down (up?) to the You Yangs instead.
Made our way here after the event to find other finders had only just finished opening the cache. Definitely a case of the right place at the right time.
Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Sims_family

Out and about caching with Stemicmitsar today, with the event in the You Yangs being our final push to get over this way again.
So with plenty of hours in the day to clear out some of the area we were off and running. Plenty of sun, wherigos and many reptiles out and about. Thanks for the cache and being part of another great day out.

What a great place to celebrate.
It's always a pleasure to catch up with Sims_family, ThePacman, nirgalagrin and many others.
Following on from the event we found a few caches in the area. This was my final find for the day.
Not too sure which maze has the higher Difficulty Rating. This one or the right hand H4 headlight in Mark's car. Both of which took all three of us to solve.
Thanks mate. A great day out in a wonderful park. [^]
PS: I've added a spoiler pic of Joe solving one of these.

I was reminded that I was yet to log this cache, by the very person that I recommended it to.. Whoops, I better log it now !! Having not found a hide in quite a while, I perused the map for a hide that stood out from the crowd. This was very close to home and an awesome D/T combo as well.
A short drive and a very short walk and I was soon at gz. This is where the fun began, but slowly does it and success was soon mine. The reverse was just as hard, a few choice words were had... Looking back at photos, I realise I had written down the wrong year. My brain must have been scrambled after the find.
A lot of fun indeed. TFTC Sims_family.

Alansee and I spent some time figuring out the maze but very rewarding!a beautiful day and a great end to our long walk and few caches. TFTC
Found with Moonb1. The approach was the easy bit, and she made the find, but then the fun began. It took us some time to get through the maze but a bit of Teamwork helped. Then we had to put it back together! This was quicker than the accessing and it was quite rewarding. Well worth the rating.
Today was the day that I head out to find my 2000th find !! I had been Ummming and Aaahhhing for a while now trying to decide what I wanted it to be and very happy I decided to go with this cache.
I found the puzzle quick enough but I kept getting distracted by the beautiful view that is on offer. I'm still trying to decide if working out the puzzle or putting it back together was the trickiest part.
Fun cache, beautiful location and a milestone find, what else could you want??? FP for sure
Thanks Sims_family!!!

That was a hoot!
I waited till the bike riders left before tackling this one.
Got the puzzles solved and back together again before the sun set! That in its self was amazing.
All good, job done and time to go home.

This cache was so fun and amazing. I loved it so much. Great location. Today, with the pressure of a ftf gone, I could relax and enjoy the puzzle. First attempt last time was 20 minutes to find the cache and half an hour and counting and I didn't even get to the log. Today, I took a very slow methodical thoughtful approach, in daylight, lol instead of a random try in the dark. Much more successful today. While still hard, I could see where I was going, so to speak. It took me 6 minutes to get into the log and another 5 to get out. I would allow a lot more time than that though, it requires patience, rushing just slows you down. As a bonus, this cache fills in a fuzzy square for me, soooo good. If I could give it more than one fp I would. Love it. Thanks Sims_Family, awesome cache. Can't wait to see what you come up with next. Tftc.
We had been chatting to the CO as he was constructing this cache. We had hoped to have a crack at the FTF but could not make it when the cache was published.
With some time up our sleeve, we made our way to the You Yangs to find and solve this cache.
We made our way to GZ and couldn't find the cache at first. So it was a quick PAF, and we were wedged in to solve the cache.
Not sure how Ausfox; managed it by the light of a head torch; it was fun enough in broad daylight.
We were reasonably happy it only took us 15 minutes from finding the cache to returning it to its hiding spot.
Thank you, Sims_family, for another challenging cache with a great D/T.
A Favorite Point from us for great execution in such a beautiful place.

Well, we got there... By the time we found it... It was nearly dark... The long solve in the dark surrounded by mozzies and a hungry hubby in shorts being eaten alive... Not going to happen... We will return... No doubt after a ftf has been claimed by a braver cacher... We are giving this a fp, it's a fantastic cache... Difficulty and Terrain spot on, so be prepared... Well played Mr E. How about we claim a special ftf for the physical cache, lol... Surely that counts even though we couldn't sign the log, haha.
I noticed the publication as I was making dinner, and knowing the gates closed early I wasn’t in any rush.
Then seeing LaraFolk had pulled the pin on the cache and a evening free to myself, I put the bike in the car and planned my assault.
Eventually arriving at GZ in total darkness except for a torch I set about locating the cache.
The air was still, not a mozzie or bug to be seen or felt. But that’s when the fun stopped and the cursing began.
I started on the puzzle thinking this’ll be a breeze but soon had different thought’s.
With twists this way, that way and anyway possible I was thinking you can’t, be this devious.
But with persistence over frustration the log eventually revealed it’s self with a blank log for a [FTF] of the log.
Now putting it back together was just as frustrating and just as rewarding being able to return it as I found it.
I want to say thanks for the traditional cache SimsFamily, but it’s hard to say at the moment.
