Spending a day here for old times sake, to show MrMuggleNZ around also have a looksee after watching the local documentary a few months back. Felt a little exposed at GZ but found a gap in the traffic and made the find. I could hear some friendly neighbourly banter nearby. A great day to be outside. TFTC.
Mr KBclan took today off work so we could have a 'date' day while kids were at school. We headed out to piha for lunch and some catching. What a perfect day it was, sun shining, wind was low. Spring is in the air. There was a track able in this one which we took and will bring it tomorrow to Takapuna and find a cache for it. TFTC
With a clear day in the calendar, a plan was hatched to round up some friends and head out to Piha for an adventure. Anytime the Team SEAC crew are together its always an adventure. You can't predict what might happen but always know its going to be a good time. After the recent documentary about the people that have vanished in the area there was a bit of talk about that along the way but who knows what actually happened!! It started out pretty cold but soon warmed up and we enjoyed that pure wild west coast scenery.Do we get double smilies here??? We found two caches! Thanks for the cache.
A message went out a couple of days ago to the Team SEAC crew asking who was keen on a day caching at Piha. We decided to join the fun, and as per usual with a SEAC outing there were many laughs along the way. Out today was Keylev, NZIceman, Cragger, NZT and HeMaLuDy. This was our first visit out this way and the coastline did not disappoint. We spent a wee while searching for this cache. After a while, Mrs HeMaLuDy happened to look down and spotted the original nano cache on the ground. About 20 seconds later Mrs NZT spotted the replacement cache, also on the ground but behind an object. We have signed both logs, and put the nano into the replacement container.
Today a few of the team SEAC crew decided to spend the day at Piha. For some of our crew it was their first time at Piha and Piha put on quite a wild show after yesterdays squally storms blew through. Luckily today was calmer and sunny. We cached into Piha, enjoying the caches along Piha road, including finding a lonely cache that hadnt been found for a while. A picnic lunch was also had in some shade and then home again for a well deserved wine!Cute bus stop. We had some difficulty figuring out the hide, then Mrs Hemaludy found the original nano on the ground and we found the replacement as well. Signed both and placed the nano inside the replacement cache. TFTC!
The threatening rain was starting to come down as we arrived at gz. Thankfully I made the find in the first place checked
Merlot was onto this one quickly while i was misinterpreting the cache name. My brain was in abeyance today for many of these piha caches! [TFTC]
We didn’t find the cache, the comments said things like ‘the obvious’ and ‘the log’ but we looked for a good ten minutes and couldn’t find it.
Piha Adventure again.
Well almost over as I was heading off now.
Armored with hi-vis jacket and completed with nice and easy find.
TFTC!

I went today with Lumin298 out to Piha mainly to do a Multi as I need it for a potential challenge in Christchurch and the AdLab there plus others caches that we both wanted.
This is one of those that were in (on?) the way to achieving the above. Nicely hidden.
Cheers for the cache.

Finally arrived in Piha now! I was looking in the wrong places even after reading the hint, but Tufty figured it out and made the find. Good hint and nice hide, thank you Gorby (#1539)
This one had me puzzled for a while until I stood back and looked at the obvious. Tftc
Lovely weather for a caching excursion to Piha, in the company of both Tracey and Roy of Team Welsh.
We had attempted to find this cache on our way to Piha this morning, but became fixated on a certain item, and with nothing near it that matched the hint we were ...um ... stumped. Thought about looking at another thing not far away but dismissed it. After getting intel from the CO later in the day, we stopped by on our way home and made an instant find in the spot we had casually dismissed this morning. Took a bit of fumbling to get at the log, but it turned out to be easier than we had initially feared. Think we need a bit more practice at finding these things! TFTC

How to make an easy cache hard???? Only concentrate on where you think it would be hidden, ignore everything else and even when you are right at GZ, be blind to what is right in front of you. You would think with the number of finds we had between both teams we would know better, but no, we really overthought this one. Geez, second time to have a look on the way back from Piha and it was one of the quickest finds of the day. At least we can laugh at our ineptness and sometimes that is just the way it is.
We had Master3 with us today, so thought we would head out to Piha and find a few caches with him. Unfortunately he fell asleep just as we approached this cache. Instead MrsJAG jumped out of the car and made a quick find here whilst avoiding the Knee Cow - took a bit of jiggling to extract the cache from its hiding hole, but managed to do so without any TOTT. Thanks for the cache Hairy Fid
