Super puzzle! Well, one of us got it right on the first guess and the other didnt. So I guess that means one is more of a monarchist than the other! We are making our way gradually south today and took a detour through Toowoomba as we are staying in Clifton for the night. The Jacaranda in coronation Park have almost finished flowering, but there were still a few in the tree that needed to be climbed. Thanks Davinells for the detour. Domsky

This was a nice easy puzzle. That was the easy part! Spotting the cache at GZ presented more of a problem for it. It took quite some time before Mrs SKI finally spotted it and that was only while she was watching Mr SKI who had begun to climb hoping he would spot it. Once spotted we decided to take the safer option and deployed the TOTT from the car. Signed and returned.A day in town today, focussing o Ad Labs along with a few caches as we took the opportunity to look around. It was a lovely day on which we visited some of the busier parts of town along with parks and just enjoyed wandering in the sunshine.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Davinells.**SKI Pair****

This one was on my to do list for a while but the park is busy on weekends. It was an easy climb on a weekday with no one around

I tried the climb but could not get there. Dad grabbed the log

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying in Toowoomba while the caravan is in for repairs in Burpengary. With this cold weather we have been very happy staying inside in the airconditioning and attempting to solve some puzzles. After lunch today we ducked out to try and convert a few. It took us a while to figure out where it was.

As Mrs Ambayu doesnt support my tree climbing after my surgeries I tend to keep my feet planted on the ground and outsource climbs. Had this solved for awhile but was waiting on someone to come to help. Out with my brother in law Pinngo today who climbed the tree like he was born to do it. Thanks for the cache Davinelles. I need this one for my D/T grid.

T-Tech and I came up the range yesterday evening for a 24 hour caching getaway Big Grin Today we started with a bit of a jaunt around Mount Peel, then collected the Drayton AL and its bonus cache. After that we took a wander through Glen Lomond Park, then bought our lunch and came out to this park to have a break.Of course, with the puzzle solved, we also made sure to make this cache a smiley as well. I did the spotting and T-Tech did the fetching. TFTC, Davinells.

Found it but unfortunately not fit enough to climb.

Well that was fun! Thank goodness Geohubby is still spry enough to act as my TOTT! Heres a FP for the entertainment!

The Minister for War and Finance is away for the weekend, so I have a free day today for a hike and some caching. With a lousy forecast for lots of rain in Brisbane, I thought I would try my chances and head west where the forecast looked better. It turned out to be a good decision as not a drop of rain fell on me today.Whilst looking at a possible list of caches last night, I targeted a local series of challenge caches, as well as a few other caches needed to complete other challenges. I always try hard not to drive past solved puzzles. So a short detour on my travels found me here today. I had quite some trouble spotting this container in the tree. My usual tactic in this circumstance is to climb the tree to get closer to the prize, but this didn't work either. Eventually I spotted it from the ground - the CO's camo tape really blends in well. Thereafter, it was a quick climb where I signed my name and continued on to the next. Many thanks Davinells #7,804

3rd time lucky! No muggles today!!

Sadly, dnf today, but I'll be back. Dog off leash Park + tree climbing required = hard to remain stealthy!

Wow, a puzzle that made sense. Ya. We head off to get our smile. Lucky we carry tott with us. Soon, I had cache in hand, literally as the zip ties gave way. Replaced zip ties and cache is back where it was. Tftc

GC9Y061 CoronationsHeaded up to Toowoomba with hubby to check out some flowers and to go for a walk. Had solved this some time ago. Spied the cache from the ground. Grabbed the TOTT out of the boot and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC Davinells

Now thats my kind of puzzle - not too much brain power required. Even though it was the weekend, the park was deserted on our arrival so we didnt have to explain our strange behaviour. We spotted the cache, then plotted a route up towards it. Stretching the legs a bit, we managed to reach the cache without too much trouble. Thanks Davinells

22-Sep-23
Second visit, this time with a tool that would give us the required height. But on extension decided it was too flimsy

Out geocaching on a lovely winter day, what better way to show visitors Toowoomba than through caching? What a beautiful park! Have driven past a handful of times, was very happy to spend time in it looking for a cache. Sent the geo-partner up for the small perform up in the tree. Rarely see caches like these, always keen to see them! Easy mystery smiley. TFTC! ️ Found with Halflift ️

Hi there Davinells, we found your cache Coronations today.

Day three touring out from Toowoomba. Previous days have seen some great geocaching, and today is looking to be the same if not better.

Change my trusty extendable ladder get quite a bend at that height.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area today, ending up finding quite a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.

Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache near where our GPS said we should be looking.

Cache Condition: Good.

Regards
Ian & Penny

A simple puzzle that I needed to research on 25/01/2023 in order to confirm this coronation answer.

This extended/long weekend across Anzac Day, it was an outback adventure to Charleville and Carnarvon Gorge. Departing Thursday afternoon, I stopped in Roma before continuing west through Mitchell and Morven and completing various puzzles and power trails. I then caught up with a small group to hike Carnarvon Gorge on Sunday and Monday, and then after having a final night in Roma, returned on Monday.

Today, a mid-afternoon departure had me head to Roma for tonight's accommodation, travelling through Toowoomba, Dalby, Chinchilla, and Miles. The old railway station at Bowenville was an interesting stop, and my drive was longer than it needed to be after I headed south from Chinchilla to drive through Condamine. A nice evening to be stretching legs at miscellaneous geocaches along the way.

I only had time to stop at a couple of geocaches whilst passing through Toowoomba, and selected this geocache on route. A fun climb up, and it wasn't long before locating the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I think the most amusing part of this climb was a family that had stopped just below me, and were talking to one another. How does one not seem like a random creep? A forced cough was made in order to alert them of my presence, and after a small surprise, I think that did the trick. Thanks Davinells for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Here was I thinking that a solo trip to Toowoomba would provide me with umpteen opportunities to gather Caches. As it turns out this one would’ve been much better attempted with a friend – of course I could see the cache from the ground, but once I started climbing do you think I could see it at all? I just about resign myself to climbing back down and having another look when they’re at was just above my head. Log signed fumbling about in Pocket for lid. Oh no, please tell me I haven’t dropped it! Fortunately, it was in my pocket hiding and all is well. Love these tree climbing cases thanks Davinells

What a great morning of some fun caches. My buddies have left and headed home. I have decided to stay a little longer and clean up a few more caches in the area before next weekend. I have a few puzzle caches and a couple of multi’s I would like to get as well as a couple of dnf’s to avenge.
I saw I had solved this one and thought this is another puzzle cache for the day and it is not too far away. I arrived at gz and there was no one around, it was then I realised this was a tree climb. I wondered around and looked at where my gps had me and the trees I faced, can’t be those, really? I then turned around and saw something that made better sense, wow even had markings of some recent activity. I spied the cache and then worked out my route to the prize. I signed the log replaced and then replaced as found. Thanks for the cache and the climb here, all good with this one.

This cheeky chimp swung up in the tree and found the prize… thanks for the climb

Found with the bandicoot Bandito86 who doesn’t climb trees.

Almost a DNL. A car parked nearby with two muggles. Perfectly placed so that the park info sign just blocked their view of me at ground level. Cool

26-Nov-22
A long day geocaching with ESCR in Toowoomba and (sometimes quite distant) surrounds. A good range of caches for the day, with a variety of TOTT employed. Did not get through everything on our list, but we were rather ambitious! TFTC.

28-Oct-22
Easy puzzle with a tricky climb!!! Tftc

28-Oct-22
Climbing the tree (and swatting the occasional mozzie), I took some care that I wouldn't crown myself by falling from the tree. The last step up was a stretch but lucky I have long legs and claws that readily attach to tree branches. Not much leaf cover in the tree so went commando to hide from the neighbours. Cheers Davinells for your efforts.

Knowing this one ticked a few boxes Eskies5 and I decided to make a plan on the best day to head out and grab it. Once at GZ, cache was spotted and it was time to set up to make the find. Log all signed and returned, thanks for placing this one Davinells.

Out today with Muggle65 and Brislions. BL was keen on getting this one today so l was more than happy to ascend. Thank you for the fun

15-Oct-22
Today we headed to Toowoomba for some nice D/T’s. In the group was The Green Geckos and Muggle65 and I.
I found 14 today and a challenge cache sign but not qualify yet.
The finds breakdown is 11 mystery, traditional, multi and a wherigo.
Yippee 2nd last spot for my mystery loop 3. Which I need for a challenge. Now find D1/T3 mystery cache.
Thank you CO for placing and maintaining these caches.

Out scouring The Toowoomba area today with Bris& . We targeted a few niche D/T caches for today.
We arrived just before all the key players of a 4 year old’s party. Ladder retrieved & placed for our to scale up, sign log.

I drive by the other side of this park semi regularly and watched with interest the facelift it was given and thought at the time I should go for a wander when it’s finished to sus out any potential hides. Well I never got around to it and lucky for me now I have one to find (certainly changed a drab little park into a lovely looking spot). This find was all about ️ing es...topping up the overall calendar finds, filling in the mystery calendar finds, grabbing an attribute for a certain month challenge and filling in a spot for the mystery DT grid. So good! TFTC Davinells.

Been one of those days, caches not planned, caches chased, caches found, caches not found...

Solved the day it was published.....
Found it, but will return with the correct tott to retrieve another day

You have to love a simple puzzle, hubby used a TOTT to access the cache though we are certain that a young monkey would reach the cache without resorting to a TOTT. SL TFTC

05-Oct-22
I needed to do the climb 3 times for this one, first time the car key in my pocket accidentally opened my car boor so I came down to close it again, second time I dropped the lid off the container so signed the log and climbed down again, one more time to put the lid back on all the time being attacked by angry Micky birds that must have been nesting near by, many thanks for the puzzle and adventure, a favourite point from me and

A little bit of stretching needed to do this climb. Name in logbook got a bit smudged, but it is in pink pen.

Dora the Explorer was up in the tree before I had a chance to give her some climbing gear to assist

Nice little cache! Spent the morning looking for flowers and did a stop by this flower free park before going for lunch. TFTC!

We are in Toowoomba for the Carnival of Flowers While Mrs e3 was admiring quilts at the Quilt show I slipped away to climb & log this cache.

After a day of errands it was time to relax and get some fresh air so KellerClann and I headed out to see some pretty flowers - it is almost Carnival weekend after all. Our adventure brought us to quite a few parks dotted around. We'd solved this last night but hadn't looked at the T rating - oopsie, it's all the way up there Smile This was KellerClann's first geocaching tree climb so it was only fitting they did the honours Razz TFTC Smile

Thank you Davinells for hiding and maintaining this geocache for the community.

I been here once before but due to my size and bad knees I decided I will not climb this one. Had a ladder in the car today so I went to get this one today. So all good and now I got a smiley

A wet day in Toowoomba but I need to go find a cache to top up todays date on my 'My Finds' calendar. Big Grin
I have this puzzle solved since it was published and saved it for a day like today. Smile
Once at GZ, I wandered around until I spotted the cache up high. Razz
A quick climb up, sign the log book and back down to ground level and another successful caching trip completed. Cool
Thanks for the cache.

Dryads do exist, and they get pissed off when you damage their tree. The act of carving a heart and initials on a tree-trunk is therefore fraught with danger in certain regions, for instance the forest of Skund.

20-Aug-22
I was keen to get this one as it completes my second mystery D/T loop.

Found with CaptainVimes and Little Miss Cacher.

Thanks for the cache

As mentioned in the other logs, it was a sentimental favourite.
I share the same birthday as QE2.
My middle name comes from her husband.
My grandmother was quite the royal lover bless her heart and the way she always watched the queens speech on Xmas day is a fond childhood memory.
Been quite the fan of The Crown as well.
The irony in all this is that If pushed I’m prob quite the republican!

Thanks davinells for this one.
**FP for this one**

A weekend trip up from the Gold Coast to meet up with geo friends and enjoying a mad rush all over the countryside in the rain to get selected caches for all concerned. Our team name was the Pink Power Rangers for most of the time.

Great to have a puzzle that I didn't have to stress over trying to solve & for once I didn't need to contact my best mate 'Dr Google' for help, knew the answer!
It was my turn for the retrieval and log signing duties, bit slippery in the rain but managed the process in a safe manner.
Oh, Bugs is happy to have this one ticked off, quite sentimental to him as his birthday is the same date as our longest serving and beautiful monarch.
Thanks Davinells, a favourite point coming your way

Coronations
D 1.0 T 3.5 Micro Mystery Cache

Team effort with the Pink Power Rangers (dahumbug, Snickersallan, AtTheLakeHouse and me!)

We formed a troupe of some sort, picking some selected caches which took our fancy on our way to the non-giga event at Toowoomba. Mainly to fill a grid and use some TOTT.

Thanks for the cache and taking us here Davinells. We got diverted on the way to the event and was passing this gz. Bugs is a republican but love anything to do with QEII, who he shares the same birthday. So this cache was a must whether it fits in the required grid or a challenge. Good on you Bug, that's the way caching should be!

Thanks! The container was nicely concealed

When a very good friend says “wanna hang out, do breakfast and find a few caches” I jumped at the opportunity… my friend hasn’t cached in years, even having to re-install the app…

He selected Woombie… however what I was only to learn on the journey up the range is he is addicted to The intellectually disabled version of geocaching, Pokémon Go… apparently it’s still a thing… like tie-dye and platform sandals it refuses to lay down and admit defeat…

Now I appreciate that look people get when I talk about caching… I get to drive mycedes for the day though while Stupert99 tries to catch a sufficient amount…

I’d solved this earlier in the week… a puzzle even I could get….

At GZ it didn’t take long to spot the cache… getting to it though, that took some Monkey Business…

Tftc… Stupert99 suggested walking to the bathrooms but driving was much more user friendly…

PS I didn’t move this one… it was in the correct location…

Woohoo! *FTF*

Having dropped the car off at the mechanics this morning we found ourselves with plenty of time to kill while it’s being worked on. This new cache in town looked a good option to start with. The 2km walk was a nice warmup too as, even though the sun is shining, it’s a brisk 8C degrees at the moment.
Reasonable climb and having long arms and legs helped.

Thank you so much for the fun cache Davinells.
