This was a pretty fast find for us. What a lovely tree system. It was so good to have a find after so many DNF again. We have not had our caching luck with us. The kids wanted to open every one but thankfully the adults had good vision still and managed to spot the right one pretty quickly. TFTC
Found with SoStephOh. Had to leave Lui our caching dog in the car. Something odd about this tree indeed! Thanks for the cache.
Found on Sunday afternoon with Indiana Jill and Lui_theDog in the car! Regional Park so no dogs allowed. Too good not to go in so off we went. Bush walking. Thanks for the cache!
I found it. This took me way too long looking at all the nopes. This cache is very evil. TFTC!!!
A plan was made today to head over to Duder Regional Park to find some more of the caches that we have previously not found. Parked up in the car park, found a cache, cleaned our shoes and continued along the path until we got to GZ. Soon had the cache in our hands but it took a little while longer before we were able to sign the log. Good fun was had doing this cache.
Each time I find a cache like this I wonder what happened to all of the COVID test kits.It was easy to discount some of them. Using a similar principle I quickly found the correct one, but didn't have my tweezers with me (decided a picnic was more important than my caching box). I did however have Daddypig's car keys which have been useful for removing logs in a variety of caches.
All in all we did 8km in the park this afternoon picking up some of the caches that have been replaced, or we missed last visit here....loved the idea, we have one similar also, but this was a little more fiddly, compared to our version.....Fav.point for the idea here.TFTC.
Beautiful view of a beach that we cannot get to from this spot. Had to think alot for this one which in the end it was literally right there. GZ abit off for me on this one but still found.tftc
The second cache of the day on our brief stroll around Duders Park. Glenogilvie was the one who managed to spot this one, and I pulled out the caching kit to get a pair of tweezers. It isn't long before we have the log in our hands, signed and replaced as found. A fun little challenge, thanks for the cache #1667
Ha, enjoyable cache. We found what we're looking for fairly quickly.... extraction was made by using a technique seen by monkeys.
I first visited this park in January last year while in Auckland for the Mega Event. I enjoyed that visit so Im back again today for a second helping. Didn't take me too long to flush it out. TFTC
Took us a wee while searching for this one despite 6 kids hunting, we found it though, perhaps in a spot that was overlooked as being too obvious initially tftc!
Searched the 2 big trees at GZ, Dude... cant' find it! But later I saw a foto on the cache page, and suspect I wasn't quite at GZ. Another time dude!
Very easy to find, well labelled to prevent it getting thrown away.
Thanks folks!
Thanks folks!
Getting back into geocaching once more, so having a day out at Duder.

Family overnight stay nearby allowed for a wander along the beach and up into the park. Enjoyable wandering the park and just picking up what ever was close by, including this one. I saw this last night when dot clicking and hoped we would wander by. A fun cache and worth a FAV for the name alone! TFTC stevecox.
Took us a little while to find the cache but was a lot of fun to see something different. Log is full. TFTC, lots of fun
Loved the hiding place, it definitely needed a cache, it's so secretive (but I am sure there once was a different cache here very, very close). I also love'd the idea. Looked closely and found quickly. FP given

M24: me and M14 started on a morning journey to see what we could find around the bottom half of the park. Starting with this one, turns out this cache wasn't as vile as it really should've been. In fact, m14 made it look completely easy, he has a habit for that, which works well in caching. Nice and easy find, log all good and signed. TFTC.
Time out with ABCDF4 so off to Duder Park to tidy a few unfound caches, day one involved a wonder around the rocks, day 2 over the top, Thankz for bringing us to a neat area. Neat little hide, had to sit under the tree to sort this one out, soon found ,signed and returned.
Had a night off so decided to go to Duder Park
Tide was right to go right around & back over the hill to the carpark
Awesome wee hide thanks

Well this looked nasty at first but we made short work of it by looking very carefully and we soon came up with the right one.
What a gorgeous spot - love our geocaching adventures and we loved this cache. Only seen one like this before - and was definitely a team effort - Geokid 9 found it, Geodad reached it and Geokid 7 discovered the log. Only seen one like this before and kids thought it was worth a like .
getting around to logging some of my finds, i found this a while ago with my mum Raven eyes, so the dates will be wrong, TFTC, this one was very vile
Oh boy, there was a bit of muttering to be had at this vile cache. A cold wind was blowing right in on me & as i tried to hurry my search, i was getting colder. Finally found what i wanted, with 10 to go. Phew. Was beginning to wonder if it was a decoy! TFTC
Woohoo finally replaced my device and can log all my weekend finds , tough weekend geocaching just by listening to verbal instructions from kezzle33
Loved the vial viles

Found with leiusandkyla... Lucky, not sure I would have reached that by my short self no tweezers but photo attached for proof
In the area with the kids during the holidays we had time for a couple of geocaches before heading home to Rotorua so decided to come out to Duders to get three caches that had appeared since our last visit. Tftc
Was on a bit of a roadie with grandies in school holidays and was back in the area. Had to come get theses 3 caches. Still so busy here, always a pleasure to walk around this area. Many thanks. Tes this was vile!! Kids loved it. A fp.
travelling with Squirrel Nutcase and some family members.goal was to try and log as many caches in area with time we had.this created us a few issues to locate.got there in the end .great cache.TFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) and the nephew and niece… After running a few errands, we decided it was time for a bit of cache hunting. We had a small window of time to kill - about three hours - and knew exactly where to go… Duder Regional Park.
Our brains switched into overthink mode - we had horrid thoughts about how this might be hidden - and searched every little nook, cranny and notch carefully. It came as a surprise when we finally spied the cache… But wait, there’s more! This one needed a seat, and the perfect spot was a few meters back - and someone was already hogging that piece of real estate…
We each took a share of the items within the cache and used all manner of strategy to locate the log. Job done - eventually! Thanks stevecoxnz and TFTC.

We checked a few potential hiding places before spotting the cache somewhere we hadn't quite expected to see it. Mrs Coblet would have struggled to retrieve it but Mr Coblet was able to with no issues.
We had the pen ready to go but as soon as we opened the container we gasped and suppressed a follow up scream. Very vile indeed, although after finding the cache at the Maraetai Hall earlier we couldn't say we were completely surprised.
We thought we would be clever and make quick work of finding the log by making a series of quick visual inspections and this worked to some extent but we still had to have a second look as our plan wasn't quite as foolproof as we hoped.
Very devious, very clever and very very vile. How could we not give it a favourite point.
Thank stevecoxnz.

Out with Mrs Jag to this lovely area today....
So many people also out and about on this special Long Weekend to honour the Queen.
We managed to hide in the grass and discreetly get on with the job at hand!
We didn't count , but I admit it took longer than I expected!
Thanks Dude!!!!!!

Out and about on the first day of Daylights savings on a stunning day with Supernannny collecting a few caches along the way. There were so many out walking the trails today, we had to choose our timing to get this cache down. We were then able to find a secret spot in the long grass to discover the log. Such tiny vials which we have never seen before. Took us too many goes to reveal what we were searching for, but we got there in the end. Then we had fun trying to return the cache back as found, so hope it is safe for future finders. Thanks for a vile vial cache!
Clevedon - Duder - Maraetai - Beachlands - Whitford it was my today`s trip.
Well ... It took a while I must say!
Count for a day 21 founds and 0 DNFs!
Cache found at 10:21.

Out exploring Duders Regional Park today. This was our last find of the day, and we were getting a bit tired by the time we got here. So a vile vial hide was probably not what we were hoping for, but in the end it did not take us too long. Thanks.
Took A bit to locate this cache. And a few nopes before coming up trump's. Fav point. Thanks.
This was a vile cache that took us a few minutes to locate. We got quite a few nopes before we hit the jackpot.

Yeap count them 33 NOPE's and EVENUALLY found the log.
Having known the CO for a fair while always thought he was a decent enough bloke BUT NOW I have seen the vile, mean side of him and am having second thoughts!!!!!!
The frustration at all the NOPE searches I had to make until finding the log was only erased when the log revealed was BLANK!
An AWESOME mean cache and I'm still pinching myself WHY I would give this a FAV but have awarded one.
Thanks for a VILE cache stevecoxnz
