We were in Petone frm Singapore to visit fam before heading to Sth island for 3 weeks. Came by after breakfast at our fave spot, the Seashore Cabaret. Wanted to share the joy of caching with the kids. Took awhile to find it as we thought it was a micro. Found it with _ _Ben_Azi_ _. Kids loved the shells so we left a mini fortune coin in exchange. Covered shoes recommended as you'd need to do a bit of walking in bushes. Tip: Look low and in between. You don't need to go far to the shoreline.
Found with our family group. Took a little while as we were looking for a micro (which this isnt) ToxicGrrl
Nice quick find while in the area for the Wellington Event tonight.Signed log tm/ww NZThanks the Seagnoid
Nice find with woolwood9 today before attending the nearby Wednesday Event. We soon had the cache found and log signed.SL *tm/ww NZ**Thanks the Seagnoid for the fun cache!*
**taybee** is caching again with **taybee nz** for the dayQuick find here today by taybee nz also found in the company of Eriallo ,TrinityNZ and Infoferret after the event All in good order, sign log book as **taybee (** *joint sign* **TB/NZ** or **taybee / nz )** TFTC Cache was found at **17/10/2024 @ 20:10:26**
Found in the company of taybee nz, Eriallo and Infoferret tonight after the nearby event. Im not exactly sure where the cache was but have a general idea, and did sign the log. Thanks for the cache. Eriallo is right, there was a wonderful full moon tonight.
I'd say found but, I followed Scott of the Taybees along side TrinityNZ and Infoferret to sign the freshly unearthed cache after he strode off ahead on what was supposed to be a ground find after the event this evening. Worth the small walk, wish it had been longer. Still viewed a lovely sunset and what looks to be a full moon in the other direction.
Great little find I did get confused opening something that I shouldnt have but that only proved to be full of ants
It took a ride, but finally, we found it! Our first cash in New Zealand. Thanks for bringing us here.Log is missing.
Took a bit longer than we would like to admit but we did find it eventually.nice cache
Lots of people on the beach today with a nice but chilly sunny day. So a good day to be out doing some caching
I don't know why this one caused me so much bother. I had tried for it several times. Muggles were a factor but I also had trouble deciding which side to look on. Today I was straight onto it. TFTC
We were down in wellington for a big family birthday celebration and we stayed at the Hutt Park Motor camp and then today we drove along the esplanade and it was the ideal time to locate this cache at the old wharf. it was a little consolation to locate this cache as i never did get to the cache that was under the wharf further along ! It was easily located using the Geocaching app for this one and it had even stopped raining a little which was pleasing although i did had my gumboots on still. thank you for this cache All was well with the cache here and i took nothing and left nothing . thank you for this cache .
Found It!Out walking the family geohound with my dad and decided to do a slight detour to grab this cache. All good here TB unfortunately missing TFTCCharlotteAndJordy
Thanks for another in the series. Learning a lot and the dog really enjoyed a walk on the beach.
Nice and easy, It was a quick find. Log paper was full and someone needs to trade something other than shells .
Thanks for this great little hide.Found on a bright blue skies dayFirst find in NZ Adventure club Shanwow
I made a whirlwind trip to Wellington with karen rinora, on the hunt for some awesome smilies. This was a quick find today. TFTC!
Found yesterday nice find took me a little long but I ended up finding thank you
Doing some of the nearby Ad Labs after a nice Petone lunch, looped around to this one. All good after avoiding thekina shells, nice to find another rail-themed cache. Also a few trapping-line decoys in play today!Following a recent few weeks apart whilst I headed overseas with work, we'd agreed, and booked a few days in Wellington to see out the last of an indian summer/long hot Autumn! We had a couple of nights at a work apartment on/near Cuba St and was able to complete, and/or further on some Ad Lab series, as well as some further physical caches. We met up with daughter on Sunday and enjoyed some nice settled weather and temperatures whilst visiting. Thanks to all COs for their hides and maintenance.
Nice little hide in a busy area, all snug, waiting for the next discoverer! TFTC, what a fab location!
After attending a CITO event, we set about trying to find as many cache types as we could. We had already found a traditional for the day, but the cache was here and so were we! Saw the hint afterwards - makes sense. Thanks the Seagnoid
We didnt stay long due to the smell. Perfectly good toilets along the way too.
Working in Masterton for a couple of weeks but have a free weekend to cache. Headed down to Wellington for an event this evening and had enough time to collect a few caches on the way. The cache was a quick find, however, were still removing the spiky balls from the geohound! Thanks for the cache
After a bit of looking we widened our search and found it pretty quick! Had to pick a lot of those spikey balls off of our backs and shoes after that one!
My second lost station cache of the day and another nice find. Quickly located in a good little spot. Thanks for the info and TFTC
I'd searched for this cache several months ago, but been beaten back by heavy rain. This time, another showery day in Petone, but in the company of rattll. It seems that I was having a boy look (a nod to you, TS), cos rattll made the find in a spot that I thought that I'd checked just a moment before. Anyway, all good in the container. Tftc!It seems a shame that nothing seems to be happening about fixing up Petone Wharf. Just locked up and seemingly derelict.
Out for a days caching in the Lower Hutt area, with matagouri. There weren't too many muggles about this afternoon, so we didn't gain too much attention. It was a reasonably quick find after matagouri had done his 'man look' and moved out of the way for me to then find it in the same spotThanks for putting this here
Foynd on a sunday afternoon stroll, down here ready for work in the area tomorrow ( Monday).A high muggle area, hard to be discreet!
Found with the whole family. Out to take the dog and kids for a walk along the water front. It was looking overcast as we drove out, but the clouds cleared as we arrived, and it was a nice sunny day on the sand.
The cache was a little tricky to locate, but looking at some previous logs, I worked out where I'd gone wrong.
Signed and resealed quickly. I had a 4-legged muggle sniff me out, but I think they'll keep the secret safe.

We remember a cache here years ago we were never able to get. This one was a nice easy find for us. In Wellington for the weekend from Hawkes bay.

An interesting read about this. Spot on coords took us straight to the cache, thanks.
We searched and searched and searched, read previous logs, looked at photos and searched some more but didn't come up with the cache. I will be back!
Thanks to previous logs found in first place I looked, including the "rat" lol. A lovely day for a walk to keep my daily streak challenge going. TFTC
Day 3 of my little Wellington trip (wish it could be longer), and I was eventually aiming to end up in Upper Hutt so my day started with a walk to the train station - and then a walk back to my gran's house again since I forgot my Snapper card - and then another walk to a different train station, where I ended up not taking a train after all and hopped on a bus instead. Anyway, I stopped by this cache on my walk and spent a while fossicking around before finding the cache in its nice little hiding place. All in perfect condition there, nice and dry, no issues whatsoever.
Thanks for placing it here and also for the extra information about its history! Finding it was a nice start to my day
